The pickup mechanics in this game have a surprising level of depth to them. The missiles are the best boost, but you need to be very skilled to utilise them properly, or else just use them on straight sections, the tethers are a very good boost but VERY hard to use, unless you use them to tether somebody else and stop them in their tracks (Sadge when this happens to you) etc. Sometimes keeping magnets attached to you for a while then ejecting them onto a flimsy opponent is the optimal strategy to win. This whole game has a lot of depth and is heaps of fun, and it deserved a much bigger player base than it ever had...
I do miss this types of lesser known titles that you can find at your local supermarket for 20$ each. Such as Dark sector DarkStar One Project Sylpheed: Arc of Deception Anyway great video!
I agree, especially with my budget in mind finding small gems overlooked was an absolute blast that you don't really get anymore, which is a huge loss for gaming experiences. Thanks I try my best!
I'm not into racing games but this one looks like a cute idea, the wing damage kinda reminds me of star fox. Also it looks like your Xbox's resolution is set to 1080i, change it to 720p cause 1080i causes mouse teeth when stuff moves.
It is kind of like the star fox wing damage, if you stapled it on top of that star wars pod racing game. Also Noted, though there's a review I just finished that's going to be entirely in 1080i. I don't know resolutions well evidently.
1080i is like the resolution produced by PS2 games except higher, so it needs to be converted properly to get rid of interlaces, however running it in 720p skips that issue and has better overal image quality
As I recall both Fast RMX, and Redout are antigrav races that have dedicated strafe buttons (though the latter requires using a non default control scheme)
Going for alot more than a dollar now, i just paid 15 british pounds for it before the store closes forever! great review

I appreciate that, I just do the best I can, with what I have.
Solo Wing Fury I admit that this racing game still gibes me thrills and scares me a bit too! I really want to play this game again...
Well it's available digitally, and on ebay for dirt cheap, so if you don't have a copy, it's easily available.
Solo Wing Fury Sadly i dont have a xbox 360 anymore :( but i had good times with this game
I don't know if it helps but apparently there's a digital PS3 version as well.

Noted, hopefully someday I'll actually get good at my job.
God damn ONLY jet type game EVER to have buttons dedicated to STRAFING left and right. Very underrated. high skill ceiling.

@@SoloWingFury o shit never heard of Fast RMX
@@SoloWingFury I HAVE BOUGHT AND AM PLAYING RMX RIGHT NOW THANK YOU. GOOD STUFF
