A very interesting car, for sure; thanks for pointing out what first blush would miss. I have often thought velour interiors were more difficult for people dressed up. Women in delicate gowns I guess.
Gorgeous car an that rear seat looks massively comfortable, car companies offer beige grey and black interiors or very bright red, cars really were much nicer back in the day.
I'm in the U.S. , Cadillac always did their factory Fleetwood limousines in front leather for driver compartment and velour for rear passengers with divider .
I have a silver shadow LWB without division 1975 model in the UK It has rare features opening quarter light's Left door mirror Picnic tables, The LWB with division has an inch less legroom than a standard wheel base
I have a 1973 shadow in that great garnet hue with black everflex and beige leather, really a sweet ride,l but I had to spend 80k to bring up to perfection...
G'day Rodd! I am elated to see your informative and magnificent videos, I watch and enjoy every one. What a magnificent automobile this one is! I have a "thing" for Parkatex I must confess. I looked seriously at a Shadow II with a "rust" colour velour interior, but my heart was set on a Shadow (dare I clarify Mk1). Mate, I would be very curious where you sourced the LWB/Wraith chrome Everflex top molding that wraps from the front of the C Pillar hip-line around and under the back windscreen to the other C Pillar. I have the standard Shadow molding that stops at the lower corners of the rear windscreen. I am not one to modify from stock design, but the LWB Everflex finisher always catches my eye.
Great stuff! My Godfather had a UK 'G reg' Chippendale that looked black for the most part but under direct sunlight was a very dark purple. Any ideas what the colour may have been? It was trips in that that started my love of the Silver Shadow. I had a '75 flared wheel arch myself and will have another at some point.
@@roddsala4626 generally its a million to one to sell one of these cars for the price you pay for them .the other exotics sell very well ,would you agree(aust) market.
A very rare bespoked Long Wheel Base with division

Outstanding condition and unusual specification.
Every time I watch your videos, I want to save even more money for retirement. So someday I can become a customer.

Our 76 was Sand over Sable but of course all leather and left hand drive as we purchased it in Germany to ship it to the USA
Let me just add how wonderful the woodwork shine. Very good raw material but a super job done by you!

@@AbandonedClassicsOne that colour you describe is indeed “Garnet”….. very similar to this car.
@@roddsala4626 I guess that was it!
Very nice
tell me what do you think of a bentley spur v8 2016
Are you in the restoration business still?
IMHO, Any PMC with a partition glass should have black leather in the chauffeurs compartment and owners choice of material in the rear compartment!
How much would this car sell for? Its spectacular!
@@dwbush777 it would be around the $100,000 mark at this level of restoration
cornices are the one to keep ,if you agree.MC millian has so many for sale over the years, but York motors was king
MC Millian had them ,many years ago
my cousin sold his LWB in the 30,s years ago ,i end up buying his wife 280sl Pagoda
Rolly,s never seem to hold their value , i wonder why
its was a showdow 1 LWB,approx $30,k light lime green
@@larrydowling it’s all condition dependent. A rough car might fetch $10,000, a fully restored one; $100,000
