I'm 12 and my life is hell I'm failing most of my classes because I feel like everyone is judging me and I'm too scared to ask my teachers to help me when I don't understand something also I have the same friends I had for years and I didn't make any new ones and I've already been in middle school for a couple of months but I know for a fact I have social anxiety because my mom and dad also have it and I have all the symptoms of it I literally won't talk to anyone at school like for instance I'm in Orchestra but I don't want to bring my violin to school because I'm scared people will judge me if I make a mistake and the teacher would call it out and there's a lot of things you have to do in front of people in Orchestra and I hate it since I've been a few months my teacher is kind of okay with me not having a violin right now but she's kind of starting to get frustrated that I still don't have a instrument when I really do I just don't want to take it to school because I'm afraid about what people will say and I don't want to draw attention to myself so my teacher right now is making me basically sit in front of the whole class and take these like quizzes or whatever for my note names but I know nothing about no names and it's just too difficult to understand to me and every time I go there there are these three kids that sit directly behind me and I always get the questions wrong or don't know which one to pick so I kind of started to panic a little bit in my head and what do they kids do they criticize me and make me feel horrible because I still don't know know the I mean one of the girls actually said "I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I don't like stupid people like you" or something like that and I felt like actually talking like literally turning my head and saying I'm not stupid you don't know the pain I go through every single day and I shouldn't be forced to study something that doesn't make me happy and I'm just wasting the precious time I have when I'm actually happy but I didn't say anything and the next day the teacher made me do these quizzes again and she said I could go ahead and move on to level 2 because I was doing so well with level 1 but as soon as I reach level 2 it was really hard and I tried to guess them and I kept on getting them wrong and my score was right there in front of them so I clicked on level one again and they started saying that I wasn't supposed to move on to level 2 and why do you keep on changing it and that same girl had the nerve to say "because she doesn't want us to know that she keeps on getting them wrong and she wants to pretend like she's getting them all right" I for real felt like punching that girl in the face and running away crying and then kill myself but I didn't do anything like that I still fought for the rest of the day I'm thinking of writing that girl a note and I know there's people like that in this world and that I should be affected by it I just wish people knew that I went through pain and I go through so much pain every single day and it started when I was about six or seven when I think it was my great-grandfather but either way it was some old man in my family and anyways he just started acting like I was his girl and he made me come over 24/7 to do disgusting things with him and made me watch disgusting and horrible videos and it continued for like a year and a half but he did give me a little break when my sister was born but anyways it continued for about a year-and-a-half and then my mom caught him forcing me to watch a disgusting video because we were living with him at the time and then I'm not going to go to Too Deep of what actually happened that night that was just a little bit of it but I think that's enough to explain I think you know where it's going from there but anyways my point of telling this story or whatever well kind of just explaining my life is because I want to spread awareness that people go through some horrible things and I've actually attempted suicide many times but they have all failed sometimes I just feel like giving up but I never do because I know that one day I will know how it feels to just have a good day and not have to worry or stress about anything just be happy for a day

Great advice. but this won't work for all people. I myself have Been diagnosed with PTSD and GAD since i was a teen. I was in wrestling and it did help a bit. I could take my anger out in a safe enviroment. I was told i will always feel this way, there is no cure for me. You can treat it to a varying degree. But it will always be there. All i can say is stay strong to those fighting the fight. Be it daily or for a short period of time. Anxiety is a living nightmare that no one deserves. you are never alone in what you feel.

I suffered anxiety my entire life. It only got worse as I got older. Eventually I managed to work through it enough to be able to have a routine in life. Finally had some kind of false confidence when travelling and facing the public. Then one day a few months back I was at a bus stop. Some random man decided to come up to me and beat the shit out of me for no reason. Needless to say I feel like I'm dying inside every day. I pretend I'm ok to people that it didn't effect me that I got over it. But every night I'm crying and shaking with fear. I can't get over it despite how lucky everyone tells me I was I don't feel lucky. I suffer from crippling anxiety and PTSD now and haven't got a person in the world that I can tell about it. This song speaks exactly what ive been going through my whole life, I've been dealing with depression and anxiety since I was 7 years old and even tho I have so much support from my family and friends I'll just here and I'll cry, screaming and begging for someone to help me but no one actually knows how to, no amount of medication can or just talking to someone can lift such a burden of pain off my shoulders and I'll sit at night and cry looking at a bottle of pills debating on taking them all and it's like i want to but it seems to be the easiest solution cuz it is I'm glad someone understands such pain and hearing this makes me cry cuz it's the same thing that I think about at night

Great advice. but this won't work for all people. I myself have Been diagnosed with PTSD and GAD since i was a teen. I was in wrestling and it did help a bit. I could take my anger out in a safe enviroment. I was told i will always feel this way, there is no cure for me. You can treat it to a varying degree. But it will always be there.
All i can say is stay strong to those fighting the fight. Be it daily or for a short period of time. Anxiety is a living nightmare that no one deserves. you are never alone in what you feel.
I've been suffering through anxiety ever since I was born and people will still come into my face and talk to me it's hurts me so much.

I suffered anxiety my entire life. It only got worse as I got older. Eventually I managed to work through it enough to be able to have a routine in life. Finally had some kind of false confidence when travelling and facing the public. Then one day a few months back I was at a bus stop. Some random man decided to come up to me and beat the shit out of me for no reason. Needless to say I feel like I'm dying inside every day. I pretend I'm ok to people that it didn't effect me that I got over it. But every night I'm crying and shaking with fear. I can't get over it despite how lucky everyone tells me I was I don't feel lucky. I suffer from crippling anxiety and PTSD now and haven't got a person in the world that I can tell about it. I used to be able to rap about all this stuff just like yourself but I am just so stuck now. I feel like you said everything I was feeling though. Keep up the amazing work :)

. I am so impressed with your talent. Yrs ago I had opportunities to record my music. I lived in Manhattan. I was so anxious that I had my first major manic episode. I now realize that if I did make money and was around that environment ... inevitably I would overdose or something. So I had the talent but not guts.. in my case fortunately.

This song speaks exactly what ive been going through my whole life, I've been dealing with depression and anxiety since I was 7 years old and even tho I have so much support from my family and friends I'll just here and I'll cry, screaming and begging for someone to help me but no one actually knows how to, no amount of medication can or just talking to someone can lift such a burden of pain off my shoulders and I'll sit at night and cry looking at a bottle of pills debating on taking them all and it's like i want to but it seems to be the easiest solution cuz it is I'm glad someone understands such pain and hearing this makes me cry cuz it's the same thing that I think about at night

Hosestly I think this song saved me, I’m not the sort of person that will say that for no reason but I used to get panic attacks for what I thought was for no reason everyday and I would listen to this to calm myself down. It got out of control and I showed my roommate this song because it’s the only thing that could explain what I never could put into words, she then made people aware of it and I got help and now 2 years later I barely get panic attacks anymore, of course I still have anxiety but it’s controllable and I just remembered this song and I didn’t know just how much it meant to me until as soon as I heard the piano at the start I just broke down crying it’s truly a beautiful song and means the world to me so I wanted to say thankyou because this is the reason for my recovery and so many other peoples this song is honestly such a blessing so thankyou so much ❤️❤️

I was 6, all I wanted was for my father to finally understand, and for him to hold me. But it never came. But now I write and I understand my feelings so much more. I am stronger and I’ve learned to live with anxiety.
