Yea it’s definitely best to act as authentic as we can. Especially when it comes to friendships/relationships and college. Art college is def something else as well fr (I go to one lol) but I’ve learned that being “alone” doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. I’ve grown a lot just sitting with my own feelings, and even talking to myself. Because overall at the end of the day, we have ourselves. So the best thing to possibly do is be comfortable with ourselves first yk and those friend/relationships will flow right to us. But this is just my thoughts ofc everyone has there own paths 🙏🏾 just decided to comment after ur video popped up on my feed, hope you have a good break
there’s a quote from this article online that goes, “I am very young and I am learning how to live.” I put it on a sticky note on my wall, which the article suggested. maybe it will help you. you are very very young and you have lots of time :) try your best to believe in yourself. the only way to improve is to keep trying and what you create may be better than you think. it’s a cliche but never give up. there is always a light. you got this. we all do
Brody idk you at all but i strangely relate to each and every word youre saying. especially the disconnect with other people and the world, as an artist, feeling so strange and like your behaviours will never be accepted by people. We are strange and unique and intelligent, which will make it harder for us to find people we really relate to and who can understnd us a little bit. Its jsut our duty to stay open and be patient, because it wont happen often. Gratitude i think might be the way through the alienation and pain and allat. though its really hard and i certainly dont practice it myself all the time. Every once in awhile though. People are selfish and self centred, especially at our age where we are all sooooo fcking confused and trying to just keep going forward while also figuring out who we are. so much pressure, no way around it. You seem really smart and insightful, those are gifts, not a lot of people have that, espcially today. We should all be on our phones less, and eventually not at all. They make us sick and make all the societal pressures of early 20s all the more terrible.
Thank you so much for responding in a thoughtful way and actually processing what I was putting out there, you really don’t understand how appreciative I am for someone taking the time to do so. I agree with everything you said about being patient. At this point there is so many avenues for my life to go down and I have opportunities all around me at such a young age. It’s just perspective, frustrating now and in the moment, but my time will come hopefully. And once again nice to meet you and thank you for responding
