    For my game, this is the best passing video ever. I (try to) do the base of this all the time but he has couple details there that solve majority of my problems, especially the part with stretching the leg. AWESOME!

    i was just trying this while we were doing rounds and i couldnt remember all the steps lol but it does work very well! i was amazed by how effective just dropping on the matt over the knee was; it almost completely shut down everyones offense no one was really use to it. Galvao said " i dont know why everybody wants to pass standing it doesnt make sense to me". i now understand what i meant

    Talk about saving your knees from constant knee slices at speed during standing! I'm definitely using this from now on as part of my pass game. ATOS for life! OSS!

    It's the small details that are needed and Andre covers them very well. There's a reason he's a World Champion!

    Thank you!!! I will try it like this, yesterday I was using the wrong leg. For this week, open guard is the specific, which I don't like, so I will work the s.... out of trying to pass it. Love this vids of Prof Galvao.

    I use this all of the time. I am also relentless on getting that side control at all costs from this position.

    Interesting, simple and deep concept. Main point is you are a big guy and focus on fact that playing upside down can be done but getting back on your back and attacking is a very good option and the one you chose. Oss

    this is the kind of move i was looking for, my instructor usually teaches us ways to kill de la riva and then just slide the knee, but people scramble too much and i waste energy trying to pass. So this will be very useful for me.

    I’ve been doing this pass since this video came out, it works well on people with OK guards but when I go against a high level guard player, they just stuff my face or post on my shoulders to stop it. Any tips I can do to prevent this?

      Watch every Rafael Mendes highlight and see if he does an over-under pass like this a single time. I think OU pass is more effective at higher weight classes than featherweight down.

    • @jjfisher07
      @jjfisher07 6 лет назад

      I actually don't do this, not sure why, but I think I got caught in the spider guard a bunch of times and totally hated it, also I'm stocky like Galvao. But, he's right.

    • @Deuger
      @Deuger 5 лет назад

      @@wufufufu yup lightweights move faster. Pressure passing is often better for bigger guys due to their size and possible slowness

    I'm pretty sure Andre's impression of everyone passing at 27 seconds is exactly what I look like passing.... which means my passing looks like Andre Galvao's!

    Parece a over under do Bernardo faria, mas com bons detalhes de como entrar na posição. Fiquei com dúvida sobre como proteger o pescoço de um estrangulamento rodado. Parabéns pelo vídeo

    I tried this against my professor and I got Omoplata'd like 10 times. He kept getting my arm before I could 'bite' his leg with my bicep.
    I'll try again on a blue belt next time.

      Bilboteabaggins maybe this depends on person's body type and their own speed or scrambling ability. From standing, you can use speed, berimbolo, terriando, etc. all of those work just as good as pressure passers
