Have been a massive Tool fan since near the beginning, but just never got this so called 'other project', sounds so stupidly similar to Tool and unoriginal like why bother? Lets take the singer and guitar tech from Tool and go be completely unoriginal 😄
Nah they definitely have a different sound than Tool. They're like apples and oranges. Tool is more progressive, tend to have longer songs that feel more like jam sessions and the bass and guitar work together in a way that's very unique. A Perfect Circle is more of a traditional rock band
@@coltallica48 apples and oranges? Slipknot vs Bob Marley is apples and oranges, this is clearly just different types of apples. You also seem to be talking about the later more evolved Tool, not the earlier Tool, this is post Aenima pre Lateralus. Regardless my ears are not fooling me, the guitar and vocals sound like Tool, to say it doesn't is pretty ridiculous. If anyone else put this band together they would get slaughtered for ripping off Tool. I love Tool and have great respect for Maynard but he's not a genius, there is no creative versatility here, not even in the same ball park as a Mike Patton.
i think that's a bad take re the similarity even the heavier APC stuff, very different. You even admit to not giving it a chance so you already have made your mind up going into it. For the record, Maynard gets sick of waiting for the rest of tool to make music or tour hence him doing "other projects", this is completely understandable and you sound like a jealous douche. :) A massive tool fan would know this. :)
@@dreamsister6339 I should give them more time honestly, went and did a little listening and some of it is quite different and interesting but then some of it sounds exactly like lines out of Tool. I am being a bit harsh too probably, the fact he used the spare time to go and write other stuff is impressive in itself, even if Tool is ingrained in aspects of it.
Maynard sounded fantastic! Great to hear him really reaching with his voice again.
I mean yeah, after having Covid twice.
Josh Freese back on drums! And is that Greg Edwards from Failure on guitar?!
James Iha
Yes, that’s Greg. James Iha is back with the Smashing Pumpkins but he was a guest on one of the Sessanta shows.
Bass
Yeah baby!!!!
I remember when this song came out and thinking how much it sounded like Tool.
Hardly a great surprise now is it
Maynard sounds fantastic.
Oh shit Freese the Beast

@@petecabrinaI agree with those exact two lines you said at the very end. That being said I still very much love them. (A perfect Circle)
