What breaks Judith covers for me personally is the voice - Maynard's vocals are so burned into my brain that it's hard to listen to anyone else performing Judith. This wasn't hard to listen to at all, quite the opposite. Great job everyone!
They chose the bassist for that specific reason, to keep Maynard attached to the cover somehow. Though funny to see Howard Jones on guitar... he kicked ass.
The essence of the song is there and that's what any good cover should have. No one should try to completely replicate the original. What would be the point of trying to make a piece of music that is identical to the original?

On a side note - Meytal - you have always been so kind and sweet to your fans, and to this day, you maintain that quality. I believe it is the extra piece of the puzzle that so many others do not have. You obviously have the talent - it is the personality that will continue to carry you to higher destinations. I don't know how I missed this 5 months ago but it's fantastic. Judith is one of my favorite perfect circle songs and I believe one of Maynard's best vocals along with three Libras. Sterling nails the vocals here! Unbelievable! And of course the heavy hitters on instruments all were fantastic! Meytal reaching back to the early days on this one I love it!
That guy Mark Vollelunga is the guitarrist of Nothing More. That's cool. Also, he looks like the drummer of Alcest lol loved this cover, you nailed it as always Meytal. Love you
As a 30-year vocalist in local bands in my area, In cover bands and original's me and my wife sat down to listen to this and we both were 💯% blown away. Meytal you are a clock, And your timing is impeccable. The rest of the band sounds amazing, and covering Tool is no easy task. I forgot to look to see who the lead singers name was but bro when you started singing you gave me and the wife chills. We were fortunate enough about 8 years ago to see tool in concert, and they were amazing. Just wanted to say that you guys sounded really good can't wait to hear some originals. R&R
