i just knew youd love perfect circle being a huge tool fan also. you and dave together always makes for a good vid ❤💯💥🔥 LOVE! 100! BOOM! FIRE! dont know what that was about to be fair 🤣please excuse me 🤤
Perfect Circle is one of those bands I think of when I think of bass. Tool is another one. So these were a couple of my favorite episodes though I kind of wish they would have balanced the sound out with your playing a bit higher so we could hear you more clearly. The slide guitar and such kind of dominated the mix. Great sounds and playing.
Billy was Trent Reznor's tech, he aquired his LP from Trent (which was broken at the time). Billy then fixed it and is his number one. You can see old vids of NIN of Trent using the red LP and even Billy filling in at times playing guitar. Billy explains it all in a rig rundown vid (recommend watching).
Been waiting for this one for a while! Extremally good work and would never thought it could get close at that price range. Thanks Cici and Dave in that order.
I love the pedals and amp first, then guitar setup Dave innovated his way into here. He never would have spent that much on a guitar if he'd started there.
I love Cici and Dave together at Andertons, but I'd never even heard of A Perfect Circle. I've mentioned it before, but I'd love them to explore a Chris Squire (R.I.P.) / Steve Howe sound; one of the best and most imaginative rock sounds ever produced.
That was awesome. You two consistently nail every build you do. The only thing that i had to laugh about on this one was the size of that bases body, almost looked like a cello, I imagine that must have be hard to work around. Though the way it was played you couldnt tell that it might have been awkward. As always great job cant wait to see what you tackle next.
Brilliant that, big APC fan and basically you guys nailed it, both sound and playing. Have to say how difficult is it to play their stuff without a click/drums? You guys did a great job, congratulations
I have to shamefully admit that I don't know the band, but anyway. I'm again (and again) utterly amazed by the prowess of these two lovely people. This is so great!
I think this is the first time I have seen you guys emulate a band that I have absolutely no knowledge about. It sounds quite psychedelic to my ears with leanings towards the experimental. That was some very nice and subtle bass playing from Cici, at least until the fuzz pedal came in...
APC is an alternative rock super-group (from the late '90s onward) led by singer Maynard J. Keenan (Tool) and guitar player Billy Howerdel, with a list of current and former members that includes James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Josh Freeze (Devo, Foo Fighters), Jeordie White (Marlyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), etc. Their first two albums Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step are masterpieces of modern rock music and some of the best produced records in the business. You definitely need to check them out.
Was not expecting this one, glad you did it, so here's some sound likes I wanna see Pantera's Rex Brown and Dimebag Darrell Abbott Animals as Leaders' Javier Reyes & Tosin Abasi Architects' Josh Middleton Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell & Mike Starr Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi & Geezer Butler
Yes to Pantera (it’d be interesting to see what they’d do because I’m pretty sure Anderton’s don’t stock Dean), Sabbath and AIC but some other ones I’d love to see would be Billy Talent (Ian D’Sa and Jonathan Gallant), K-On! (Yui Hirasawa/Mio Akiyama, even though it’s an anime the guitar and bass tones sound insane), System of a Down (Daron Malakian/Shavo Odadjian), Primus (Les Claypool/Larry LaLonde), Blink-182 (Tom DeLonge/Mark Hoppus) and Dream Theater (John Petrucci/John Myung)
@@andrewpappas9311 It's true Andertons don't have dean, as long as it's got a FR and Seymour Duncan style pickups it should work for Darrell, maybe even one of the budget friendly Jackson JS32's might work

I can't believe people are still complaining about the Katana in "without breaking the bank" videos. It's a fact...if you want to sound like various people, on a budget, the Katana is your best option in so many cases. Please - use the Katana as much as possible for these :D
I love this band . Billy Howerdel got tasteful guitar riffs & licks . And amazing production skills . All done on a Les Paul with the wrong headstock glued on at a funny angle .
I think a Sound Like Stone Temple Pilots would be awesome. I really love the guitar tone on their records, distorted, deep and clear all at the same time!
I understand the reasoning behind the “without breaking the bank” videos. That being said I always wish they were the “by breaking the bank” versions. I guess I’m just a gear snob 😂
I would love to see a Sound Like Humble Pie (Self-titled album) and Mountain. Both Leslie West and Steve Marriott use Les Paul Jrs and their sounds are quite similar. This would be awesome. Mississippi Queen / Never In My Life / Nantucket Sleighride, and One-Eyed TSR / Live With Me / I'm Ready. Oh man. Please please please,

Magic happens every minute of the day, miracles just take a little longer. When you guys play together, miracles happen and all of a sudden I start liking bands I never liked before. Who the f*#k are Perfect Circle? Lucky Andertons. Despite all goodness from your predecessors, you both are from a different league. I dont mind a Sire Marcus Miller basses. I dont mind a Epiphone guitars. I do mind the miracles when you play together. Not worthy, keep kicking ass.....
I’ve been saying this since Matt and Rabea did Tony Iommi By Busting but I’d love to see you guys tackle a Sound Like K-On! (despite it being an anime it has some of the coolest guitar and bass tones I’ve ever heard and the songs are all fun as hell to play) or Ghost Without Busting, and I’d also like to toss in System of a Down (it was the first Sound Like I saw and is still one of my absolute favourites and Matt and Rabea did great but we need another one because Shavo’s bass tone is a super crucial part of SOAD’s sound) as well as a Sound Like Billy Talent
Please do a „sound like Opeth“. That would be awesome! :D
Don't think I've ever seen Dave play a PRS, guess he doesn't like them.
Yes! By busting the bank 🙏🏼
Cici would surely have fun playing some Mendez lines!
Love this band. Billy Howerdell is definitely underrated. Not a bad budget version, though Cici was mixed too low this episode (which is a first).
Really glad we got to do this one! :)

the 1st two records are modern classics. I also love the new wave goth bands that inspired APC. The bass is spot on.
These two are a perfect circle of performance and chemistry. Great video! Also, Cici, those boots are amazing.
Absolutely love Cici and Dave! Less pedals than I thought it would have been, but pretty darn close in tone! Great work as per usual.
