I like to set a camera right at the rear open ramp like I'm about to skydive out and just stand there in VR and look at the world go by below. It's funny when others try it and you give them a little nudge.
As an aircraft technician who works on c-17 that power on procedure hurts to watch but the sounds are very very accurate
Lol I'm sure if they knew the entire system and the workings it would be better.

Do you have any interesting manuals, documents, FCOM, so that we know how to do it right, please?
I am amazed that the guys at Deltasim were able to get original C-17 and WACS Warning and Caution System sounds.
But, i have noticed that many callouts are missing like:
TCAS sounds, except TCAS SYSTEM TEST OK callout.
Also these callouts are missing:
MANIFOLD MANIFOLD
HYDRAULIC HYDRAULIC
SPOILERS NOT ARMED
TOO LOW POWER
WINDSHEAR WINDSHEAR
4-3-2-1-GREEN LIGHT
MINIMUM
APPROACHING MINIMUM
PLUS HUNDRED
FIFTEENHUNDRED
FIVE
OBSTACLE AHEAD OBSTACLE AHEAD
OBSTACLE RIGHT
OBSTACLE LEFT
TERRAIN AHEAD
TWENTY MINUTES (time marker)
CHIME that can be heard 100ft above MINIMUM and before the callout 4-3-2-1 GREEN LIGHT for airdrop off.
I would not be surprised if the WACS has many more callouts, for example for Bleed air, Electrical Systems ect.
May be also for threats and defence system.

I have noticed that Version 4.4 includes the MINIMUMS callout and the chime that is active 100ft above minimum.
The reson is that they have added DH and MDA.

Terrain direction (left, right, ahead) and obstacle callouts cannot be added as there is no database in-sim we can use to draw the callouts from/calculate a collision estimate
Time markers we have no use for as we do not have airdrop functionality
Most of the aurals we have ready to be injected into the sim, we just lack the backend systems to incorporate it.
MWS has an alert that we have included when set to the "test" mode. As expected there is quite little documentation out there on it, and we don't plan on adding any more depth to the CMWS/MWS as we want to keep our SMEs in a safe position.

I was totally believing that was the real-world life-size workhorse herself that I was watching on screen until the screen was dragged. I have no clue why, but I imagined turning a retired one into a home if even possible. Again, I have no clue as to why.
I love this Aircraft! I have seen several in real life and the engine sound is what caught my attention. As an Aircraft mechanic I appreciate the technology behind this aircraft. Rock on Steve!

Interesting sometimes airports don’t show up in database. I wonder if that has anything to do with some of the airports being third-party.

@@StevesSimStation I’m going to try and delete the third-party airports. Tonight. And then tomorrow when I take a flight see if that makes a difference. I still can’t get an actual map to pull up on any of the screens. But I have figured out how to put my flight plan and everything and thanks for your video.
It’s wonderful. I can’t believe this is free. It’s better than half the crap u have to pay for. The engines are a little louder than would be expected in the cockpit
Can someone help me? I can't figure out how touse the c17 ingame. I went to the download and downloaded it, I can confirm it down download. I can't find it though.

When I went to the website you linked, only a su-15 update came up. I looked at a video for downloading freeware, and I don't have the Microsoft.Flightsimulator folder.
Yea and below you need to click the deltasimulation-c17 once downloaded ypu need to put in the community folder to get it in the sim. There are many other videos out there showing you how to locate that folder

That's the one thing I forgot in the description sorry... im going to put the link to where you can download it then put it in you community folder on the PC for the sim
The file path is different for some people you'll have to find the community folder. It's long winded for me to go into detail here on doing that but there are videos out there that visually show you how to find it and they would be more effective in helping, rather than me typing it all out.
Just unzip and drop the file into Community folder. The path to this is different depending on where you got MSFS.
Steam:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community
Replace “USERNAME” with your own Windows username.
MS Store:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_RANDOM\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Replace “USERNAME” with your own Windows username.
