Part 2 of the new Sonor Signature drum kit. A quick sound check of these fine drums. All drums have a bit of EQ, but the snare drum is heavy with reverb.
Good morning, Johnny and greetings from South Bend, WA. Thank you for sharing those great sounding drums with all of us. Oh my gosh they sound so very very good.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
What is there to say? The tone is full and warm and absolutely gorgeous. The snare is a wonder - the focused pop of the tip of the stick followed by that buttery tone. How could you not take that snare everywhere the kit goes? I second the comment that these are the best sounding SONOR drums on YT. Question: are these shells made of Bubinga or just Bubinga veneer on the outside. P.S. NEVER NEVER let something that you truly want, that you know in your soul you have to have slip away. I have seen people scrimp and save and do without, putting money up for when they retire, only to come down at age 63 with a fatal disease or accident. We are not promised tomorrow. If you or your wife really want something, and you can swing it, go for it! My custom Ludwig Octa plus drum set that I bought in 2005 for a small fortune (although not as expensive as a Sonor Signature Series)😄 means as much to me now as it would have when I was 15!
Thanks. Also thank you for watching. You are right, there is no point in being the richest man in grave yard. I just changed the snare head out rom a black dot to an emperor. Sounds much better.
Amazing set. I'm pretty sure, that's a Signature Special Edition from the 90's with the glossy laquer finish and the rubber gaskets. This complete set with matching snare is a rarity - I don't think, they sold many of them.
@@moondrums I always wanted these drums and as mentioned above the ones I saw at my local drum store in Bubinga were not glossy, more of a satin finish. Fantastic sound. Listen to the intro to the song Soldiers by Abba, their drummer Ola Brunkert was a Sonor man.
I have a tornado red horst link set..but imay switch heads..these have major tone..and im using emperor coated...i may try evans.. clear or REMO PINSTRIPE ON TOMS...MINE ARE A LITTLE TOO DEWD FOR MY LIKING..but sound men love..WHICH I HATE BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE DRUMS IN MONITOR..
That set is sick!

Thank you for watching. These are classic, and I'm glad I could share with drummers who get it.

Back in the early 80's, a Signature bass drum alone was $1,200
Yeah I noticed the snare drum alone is going for around 1500 to 2000 bucks on eBay.
Dw?????!!!!!!!!!!!! Had one ...no thanks...
