Thank you so much for this. I feel like I’m in hell at the moment not eating or sleeping worrying so much about my wee boy. Reassuring to know I’m not the only one. It will get better I know.

Wow, what an amazing video. Thank you so much to everyone involved. I particularly liked the advice from Carrie about being able to say no to social situations that don't work for you and your child. We're in the limbo stage and this uplifting video means so much!

Thank you so much for this! I'm an autistic and I've tried introducing people, especially vulnerable parents, to neurodiversity, for years. I hope I've been able to help some of these parents, though I don't know because I usually did it on Facebook and Facebook disabled both my accounts.

Great job ladies. Such a great video, thank you for sharing!! I have all the same wishes about not wasting so much time worrying and wish I'd found the neurodiversity movement much sooner. Hopefully this video means parents waiting for diagnosis now will find the right supports so much quicker!!

I would of had our son in the swimming pool much earlier. Swimming has helped him more than anything.

Hi, just asking because last time i took mines swimming he got habd foot and mouth. And actually he gets ill so often. Sometimes twice in 1 month. Thats over half the month hes spending it either with viruses or something. How do you manage taking him swimming in cold weather regularly?

    • @waynesalvador9925

@@scartwright9350 Indoor Heated Public Pool. We bring him there 4 to 5 days a week. If we don't he stops advancing.

@@scartwright9350 All you have to do is be there.. You don't have to teach them. He taught himself how to swim. He usually swim an hour.
Just stand by and help them stay above water.. Saftey
      Start with a swimvest. Waterwings
There is no goal let them be happy. I don't know why it works.

that happens for those of us who will be caring for nonverbal, violent, constantly melting down kids until we die? I've lost hope 😢

I’m no expert, but meltdowns are often caused by sensory overload (though obviously if your child can’t communicate what’s wrong it must be hard), but as they get older it will get better. Neurodiverse children are just children, in the end. It’ll get better, so don’t loose hope in yourself or your child :) and get some support from someone so you don’t go it alone (partner, parent, friend, aide even.).
