My silicone wedding rings (So comfortable and a must have for anyone that wants to wear a ring but works with their hands): ensorings.com/...
Picked up one of these at a yard sale yesterday for $50. My kids are too young to put an engine on it right now, but in the future I'd like to do something like this to it.
You should definitely make a tutorial video of this.
good frame had one as a kid and its been 11 years now its rust free and still in good shape I recently welded a 80cc chinese engine went super fine good stability and only thinng is i got shocked by the killswitch while riding in rain lol
You gave me an a visual of what I want on mine! Thank you!
Let me know how yours comes out!
Could you list the parts for what you used, thank you
Awesome work man! Can’t believe how resistant that tiny Kart is.
Haha. Nice job man! I’ve always hopped up all my kids riding toys. Just found one of these tonight. Great video man!
Awesome! Thank you Jeremy!
yeah, completely badass build!
Haha Thank you!
Hi have a question what size of sprocket did you use on rear
Hahhaha that's bad ass man! Just got me one of these for free so I wanted to convert it how you did lol awesome video man hahaha
Thank you! Its tons of fun.
I just got the same cart with a 224
I’m looking to do this myself, where did you get the cables and sprockets, did you put a centrifugal clutch on it?
All of the arts can be bought on amazon or ebay. I used a centrifugal clutch. #40 chain, 15 tooth sprocket on the axle. The axle is 20mm so you will have to buy a sprocket with a 3/4 bore and drill it out to 20mm.
Thanks for the info👍
Big Bad Brad hey this to mine I feel very uncomfortable on it but it’s fun and funny to other ppl so do it on ur own attempt
Big Bad Brad good luck bro
Jake Chunasamy Haha I don’t really wanna ride it I just wanna build it lol 😂
Did you see the razor dune buggy I have?I put a 212 on it. I have a garage full of go karts and I really love what you did with your razor.
You have a dune buggy one! I'm going to have to check this out! I just finished a Razor MX with a predator swap and a wheelie bar. Such a blast!
You can supercharge the 212 with an amr300 or 500.
Bigger tires bigger tires!!!
Maybe... I kind of like the small wheels and big power though.
How about big tires for some serious off grounding.
How much to build me one i have one myself
Haha that looks like fun. Good editing job. Keep up with the projects cousin. 🤘
So much fun! Can’t wait for the next build. I have some modifications to do to this one also.
I loved this video thank you!
Thank you! I’ll keep them coming!
Great time lapse of the work!
I figured it wouldn't go anywhere with those tires, just spin em. Man that thing is crazy
Dav5049915 thank you! They make “drift wheels” for them. They are on order for the next video.... along with a tad more power 😉
What clutch, chain and sprocket set up did you use???
Hello by any chance do you know how long the throttle/bike brake cable was? There seem to be a quite a few different lengths for universal fitment. 60" and 72" is two of them it looks like.
Before you destroy those carts you should put those wheels on a lathe they will center perfectly inside a lawnmower wheel or a small tractor wheel depending on the size in the height that you pick you can get a lot of fun out of this you just Apoxsee them to the wheel itself after putting them on a lead and making them a bit smaller to fit in the hub or rim any tractor supply has them
My dude I have exactly the same thing! And it’s wicked!
I have the kart, engine, centrifugal clutch, chain and engine plate. I just need to find the axle sprocket. Any recommendations?
Ebay or any go kart supply website. You need a 15 tooth 3/4 sprocket. The axle is 20mm so you will have to drill out the sprocket to fit over the axle.
Did u have to change out the sprocket on the axle? If so what sprocket did u purchase im looking into making my drifter gas powered
I did change the sprocket. I used one I had laying around. I will try to get the specs and get back to you.
Where did you get the slipper clutch and throttle assembly? I have two of the drift carts with junk batteries, this project seems like the perfect use for them!
Dan P the clutch is just an eBay 3/4” clutch and the throttle is a bicycle brake lever and a length of universal bike brake cable.
What did you use for the sprocket setup?
I used a 10 tooth clutch and a 15 tooth sprocket on the axle. The axle is 20mm so you need to get a 3/4 inch bore sprocket and drill the hole out to 20mm. Hopefully this helps.
I have the same one with an engine on it. I just made a dirt race track in my backyard. And I'm afraid it's too low and going to hit the chain and and sprocket. What wheels can I add that will fit. I was going to take some wheels off my lawn mower
It’s very low. I’ve never tried to fit a different set of wheels on it so I’m not sure what will fit but I can try to do some research for you.
That went pretty fast.
So much fun. I’ll be making another video soon with some upgrades.
In The Shop WHATS the top speed
This is great
Thank you!
Sienfeld finally did a show about something!
Sometimes I feel more like Kramer but thanks for watching!
@@InTheShop great job on the Razor!
Thank you!
What sprocket did you use on the axle?
I used a 15 tooth sprocket for a 3/4 shaft. The axle is 20mm so you will have to open up the hole slightly on the sprocket by drilling it or using a die grinder.
what size sprocket did you use?
Where did you get the 15tooth axle gear from?
did you change the axis star or is it the same?
I had to change it to match the chain and clutch I used on the motor. The factory sprocket has very small teeth.
Love it❤
Where can I find the right size sprocket to slide onto the axle?
I had the sprocket kicking around from another project but www.mcmaster.com has just about any sprocket you can possibly imagine.
are u gonna sale it?? that will be aswsome
U are smart to build and smart to edit good job man
In The Shop, I'm going to give you a run for your money...
I built the same Razor kart as you have done here, Then I rolled it from decelerating, doing 20, I'm a retired mechanic and am too old and fat to be rolling anything bigger than a joint, I was humiliated and disappointed all at once, dragging my kart home...
6 months has passed and I now possess the worlds most badass Razor Kart, Oh it's pretty, and I can hang corners like a demon,
I successfully merged a Razor kart with vintage style race kart designs, I will post a video soon, you've been warned! 😊
(P.S. Most of my work is because of your build!)
I just bought one for my daughter, she said it’s too slow, how much money do I need to make it run faster for her?
There are a few videos on RUclips that show how to hop up the electric drive. I wouldn’t advise building one like this for a child. This thing is a death trap.
In The Shop I advise it, so the kid can get used to it and become Lewis Hamilton 2.0 👀
Hey I have dismantled the motor and I am now on the axel part. I don't know how to pull the axel through the axel clamps what do you use to do this
Just seeing this now. Did you get it apart? there are a couple of snaprings that hold it together.
In The Shop no I have not tried yet don’t want to mess it up. How do I take the snapping apart
You will need a decent set of snap-ring pliers
In The Shop ok and then how do you put them back together
Just reverse the disassembly steps. The snap rings go right back on.
Is that stock sprocket
How did you make the gear for the axel
I used a 15 tooth sprocket for a 3/4 shaft. The axle is 20mm so you will have to open up the hole slightly on the sprocket by drilling it or using a die grinder.
How did you remove the rings that hold the axel?
Snap ring pliers amzn.to/34v9IkA
I want to know how you did this because i have one and want to do the same thing
Does it matter which way you face the clutch?
Jerard Ortiz most go kart clutches are bi-directional and can be mounted whichever way works best for your application.
You think your shop is a mess you should have seen mine before I cleaned it up a bit last week.
I go through phases. Sometimes I like the place spotless and can’t stand the mess. Sometimes I’m glad I have triples of most of my tools because they are spread across the shop and the place looks like a tornado hit.
What # chain did you use ? And what sprocket size
I used a #40 chain. I can't remember the tooth count. I'll check on that tomorrow. It is a 3/4i.d. sprocket though.
Ok thank you man. building one myself using your video
Lsx Juan the sprocket is a 15 tooth
I have a electric razor and wanna build it in to a gas power can u please send instructions and tips and blueprints I’m dozer and thank u bud
How many teeth did you have on the centrifugal clutch?
Big Bad Brad I’ll have to check tomorrow. I can’t remember.
Ok thanks for all your help👍
What chain you usung?
#40
Good stuff. What gears/sprockets did you use on it? I recently came across one for 25 bucks and already have the engine. Just need to figure out the sprocket situation.
oh which chain did you use? #35?
Thanks!!!!
Where do I get one of the 2wd axles?
Order one from the drift kart not the go kart its keyed on both sides
I bought one yesterday for $50 I want to upgrade it like this but I will need specific details if you can do that will be great thanks
Pretty straight forward and really fun. You will need a 10 tooth clutch with a #40 chain, a 15 tooth sprocket for a 3/4 shaft. you will have to drill the sprocket out to 20mm to fit over the axle. I made the motor plate with my plasma cutter but you can buy motor mounting plates on ebay or places like gopowersports.
Hey where did u get the actual throttle not the cable
I used a bicycle brake lever
In The Shop hey and if their is a ball on one end and a wire line on the other end of the throttle cable which end would be the one to go into the brake lever? Thanks so much for your help!!
The ball end goes into the lever and the wire end goes onto the throttle of the engine. No problem man! Keep me updated how yours ends up!
In The Shop ok will do still getting all the parts thought it would be a lot more complicated thank goodness I ran into this video it made it a lot more easier for me to understand where all the parts should go! I still think it will be complicated but not as much anymore. Thank you! This is my first ever go kart build
Awesome man have fun!
How much to build one. Very interested for my son.
You could probably put one together for $250-300 in parts if you get a good deal on the kart.
This was awesome! We were given two of these buy they’re just not powerful enough for my boys. How much did it cost for the engine? Thanks!
The motor was $200 but you’d be fine with a $80 one from harbor freight you will also need a clutch and chain ext
Question I’m working on a similar build what motor did you use and how fast was it
predator 212
I used a 49cc pocket bike motor get them for$50. Lots of power for a small engine
Top speed?
FYI for anyone doing this it takes a alan wrench for most of it
Yes it does. Thanks for watching!
Next video will be how to replace those wheel bearings. I thought for sure those bearings would overheat at that speed.
The brakes are going to be the first thing that gives up. They were not happy.
By the looks of it, you could probably just use some Bones Reds for a skateboard.
Put some bigger wheels man! Great job
Thank you! I like it with the little wheels haha.
What gearing
wonder how long before it breaks ?
I’ve been riding it off and on for the last two months and nothing broke yet. It’s actually pretty stout. The only thing I need to do is put a jam bolt to keep the motor back because no matter how tight I bolt it down the motor slides forward and loosens the chain. I’ll have another video coming very soon with the kart.
Bigger tiers
Do more!!!
I made a part 2 a couple months ago.
He does anyone know how to add a sprocket to this go kart in the video or can I just use the sprocket that the kart comes with. And how do I attach it? Or how to bolt it
15 tooth #40 sprocket for a 3/4 shaft but you need to drill it out or use a die grinder because the axle is 20mm
In The Shop so I need to drill the axle or the sprocket and what do I use to drill this
In The Shop this a a lot to ask and would be a huge favor for me if you could make a quick 4 minute tutorial on how to do this I am just not very comfortable with how to do this and I am a little confused. Thank you for your patience
You need to drill the sprocket out. The hole is not big enough to slip over the axle
In The Shop ahhh ok thank you so much and would I then need to bolt it down or just position it right so that when the kart is moving the sprocket will not slide.
L@@KS FUN BUT A BIT DANGEROUS. IT CAN FLIP EASY, BE SAFE STAY BLESSED :)
Picking 2 up for $40 tomorrow gonna put Honda 160cc on them.
Awesome! They are a ton of fun. Keep me updated.
So did you build it?
That shit looks scary
So much fun man.
I bought my son the razor go cart, it only runs 12 mph, I’ll pay you if you make it faster then that brother!!
Put a gas motor on it! So much fun.
Hell I'm a retired mechanic who needs the money, too bad you are most likely 1800 miles from me.
Cómo consigo piezas
Coo
How much $ to build me one??? I want one.
Can u do mine make it go fast
Can u fix mine
Found those razor force drift karts for $80 for 2 of them! Should I.... lol
Haha the answer is always yes
Lol after riding the stock razor I went ahead and bought a 212 Pred 🤣. Can you provide the link to the axle sprocket and chain setup to connect to the pred. First time working on a “kart”. Thanks bro. Btw you crazy jumping that thing lol
Next motorcycle engine ?
Can I hire you to build me 2 of these? I am in Central MA. This is so killer. I would buy all the parts new.
The issue is the axles aren’t available anymore. Shoot me an email. I would be interested in doing something. I can dig around for options. Nathan@intheshopmedia.com
@@InTheShop sent!
I am guessing you burned a set of wheels on that run. 😁
😂 they definitely don’t last long.
How does it start with the clutch?
Bro why didn't you extend the frame a bit longer
I could have done that but I found it to be funnier and more fun to ride being tiny like it was supposed to be from the factory.
awesome job, I have one for sale if anyone's interested.
A go kart like the one in the video? Or is it a regular non modified go kart
Where are you located and asking price. Need gift for nephew and put engine on it.
Hey what’s up let’s race
Set it up. Lets make it happen
In The Shop where do you live at.im in Allentown Pennsylvania
I’m in Massachusetts
In The Shop I wish you were closer .your like 7 hours away
Did a 49cc to mine and we call it widow maker but this thing should be called genocide
Hey man that’s sick. I built something similar a while back with a built 212, but I couldn’t keep it from throwing the chain. Got it up to 30ish mph a few times but it was SUPER sketchy. Ended up selling it. If you go on my Instagram @_ForzaPhotography and go back to like September 2016 you can see how it looked. I don’t have a welder so I just made my own mount and bolted it to the frame.
Awesome! I just checked it out. So much fun,
What clutch and sprocket tooth # did you use
I’m gonna buy a cart like this but I’m getting brand new batteries and new stuff for it for 100 bucks
Wouldn’t bother with the batteries it comes with, just buy a couple drill batteries ( I used the Walmart ones cuz they’re cheap). Works great and hauls a**
Give away please i need this !
Thumbs down for speeding up the video...
Do you mean the build or the riding?
What bore size was the sprocket you put on this?
It was a 3/4 but I had to drill it out to 20mm
@@InTheShop thank you this helps a lot! I am doing the same thing but I got a 79cc predator
What did you do for the sprocket
Where did you get the accessories for the engine?
eBay and Amazon
