I like the fact that Saitama looked for Bang's disciple for so long thinking he'd get a Challenge and had no idea that he literally defeated Bang's disciple at least three times before even joining the monster association arc. He spent so long looking for the Monster King not knowing that he easily defeated the monster king about 10-70+ chapters ago.

What that means is that instead of adding onto your power, you're basically multiplying your power by your power. It's why Saitama might be the strongest Manga character. Simply because he has infinite potential and his strength will just keep being multiplied by itself until he defeats his foe and is no longer fighting. What a ridiculous way to blow away power gap and make it a power elevator.

I love how contrarily to your main protagonist the "final move" of Saitama isn't some sort of tramp card that would eventually dry him of his energy but it's straight up a punch given with a bit more conviction.
I remember when we used to think Saitama was limitlessly strong, but this fight has proven to us that he just gets limitlessly stronger and stronger depending on his emotions and the opponent he fights.
He has no limit in power. He can easily become the strongest character in the anime universe if he keeps on fighting people like Goku and Beerus NONSTOP.
That can be true to a degree. But let’s not forget. Goku currently scales about higher then anything Saitama has shown so far. Plus knowing Goku, he also grows insanely strong in fights. Man goes being able to go SSB and somewhat end ups surpassing his SSB in base. At least anime wise. Manga, Goku loose his Zenkai a while back. But I think he will adapt a new way in getting stronger in a fight.

I like how through the battle Saitama was completely uninjured but Garou was continuously bleeding from his mouth despite being on par with him for most of the fight. Just goes to show that Saitama is invulnerable.

What I really like about this fight is that Garou can only match Saitama's power level, but he can never exceed him, because his whole combat technique is based off of copying other people's styles.

The whole deal is about Dragonball nowadays is their power is controlled unlike in the Buu Saga where going ss3 shook the planet.
But SSG Goku does have a feat like this fight which is shaking the universe when he clashed with Beerus.

I think the only thing I didn't like was how much Saitama talked to reason with Garou ( 9:42 is one example). In the web comic, Saitama was actually annoyed that Garou tried to justify what he became into, but here Saitama tried to "scold" and "re-explain" what Garou's been doing for too long that it made him be out of character.
In the manga garo fights the caterpillar instead of the S-class heroes, so I think that difference is enough that Saitama would point it out as being self-contradicting.
I believe, despite of what Saitama says about being a hero for fun, he’s got the hero instincts (as his first heroic act demonstrates, his body moved on it’s own), and constantly gives hope to people, even when it’s unintentional (e.g. not taking the credit for the deep sea king defeat, praising Suiryu and Mumen Rider, dressing as a cop to give them their due credit). To me, trying to reason with Garou doesn’t seem so out of character

Something I realize in anime and other media like this is that becoming bigger doesn’t really make a person much stronger. Like the most powerful beings are ones whose size is beyond comprehension or just human sized. Beings like those from tower of god, one punch man, and others.

I love the fact that at 2:13 Garou was being considerate. Imagine it wasn't saitama but instead an actual rescue heroes which are more likely to be a C-class like garou thought. Garou being able to actually match Saitama in an exchange of blows is so much more impactful since it's such an unprecedented development. Saitama effortlessly being able to one-shot every opponent he's faced all builds up to this fight. Not only that but Murata managed to make an amazing battle without compromising the premise of the manga by having Saitama improve at an exponentially faster rate than Garou towards the climax of their battle.

I just realized that Cosmic Garou himself doesn't do damage against Saitama.
He only deals damage when he uses Mode: Saitama, but even then, it gets outpaced by Saitama's growth
You can do whatever you want to him, try and intimidate him, and throw everything his way, and hell just take it on the chin. But the very moment you hurt those close to him, you lose. The latter half of this fight wasnt even a fight. Saitama just said "Right, you had your chance. Prepare to lose." and locked in to the point he won againt a literal god killer, with one hand, while holding a presumably fragile data core that couldve seen Genos gone for good had it been damaged.

Many won't agree with me but my honest opinion is that for the sake of introducing God and doing fan service, the manga did not meet the expectations I had with the entire Saitama vs Garou thing. I mean everything before this was such a perfect redraw and elaboration of webcomic but they messed this up by making garou accept god's powers, revealing to us the secret of saitama's true strength and at last putting an end to it with time travel, which was the lamest of all. Even emotionally it didn't hit the way the webcomic fight did. Saitama vs Garou before intervention of God wasn't amusing at all. After Garou accepted god's powers, I too loved the 2 or 3 chapters that followed, but then at the end they introduced time travel. Disappointing if you ask

It's crazy to think this was just a small fraction of God's power on the second strongest being he was able to reach at the moment. Imagine what would have happened if Garou didn't just tap God's hand and instead grasped his hand completely, or if God was able to convince Tatsumaki to do it. Something tells me even Saitama would have a hard time, at least at first before he grows stronger through the fight.
That's true, but appearently Saitama just got a buff here. I think his power is that of exponentially increase his power , absorb it as he gets hit and increase his power as he fights. Now imagine if Saitama actually gets into it and begins enjoying fighting, then he completely becomes a God himself.

@@punishedx No, you don't see him yelling or gritting his teeth or his face popping a vein, he wasn't even SWEATING, he was using more like 20-40%, he was just serious at most, not enraged, that's all, also he didn't take damage in the entire fight, if he took he would react like he did in his dream in episode 1 of the anime, also he was using one hand and promised Tareo to not kill Garou, he just wanted to teach Garou a lesson with his fists.
@Me when the if you read the manga, it literally says garou matches each blow and both grew stronger in power, however saitama's growth rate exceeded garous and left him In the dust. Whatever interpretation you want to make doesn't matter to me, if the manga literally explictly states what happened.
Garou could match for just a moment, but by his next attack saitama was already much stronger so garou had to catch up. Which is why he took no damage.
