    I really appreciate your content. The detail and quality of your videos makes it not just interesting but also lends reassurance when I’m looking at buying some of the parts in the video. This video in particular convinced me pull the trigger on the Mugen wing while one of your others made me aware that I should also buy the oem trunk reinforcements. Thank you again for taking the time to produce this content!

    That looks great man. Thinking of getting this or the cr spoiler. Read online though that the standard boot lid might need reinforcing due to warping from the down force. Have you had any such issues?

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  3 года назад +1

      Fozzy personally, i dont think its necessary. No warping after a few months of installing it. I dont think it provides enough downforce to need reinforcement.

      @@zaahidrahman thanks mate. That's definetly reassuring. I love how sleek the mugen looks but they're hella expensive! Trying to source a fibreglass version of the mugen or the cr wing. Thanks again for the informative video.

    Hey when you said you figured out how to get that side to not lift - what exactly did you do to press it down? I installed mine brand new yesterday and the right side is also not adhering very well. I cleaned the trunk lid out in direct sunlight with isopropyl alcohol a few times to try to make sure there wouldn't be any wax. The left side adhered just fine but the right side looks like it's lifting through about the middle half of where the bracket sits.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  2 года назад +1

      I put some shop towels over the area and weighted it down with a dumbbell over night. Lol i know.. not the most sophisticated but it eventually adhered and hasnt changed since.

    • @zaahidrahman

      congrats on pulling the trigger. You'll love it. still no issues and looks great. i recently installed a OEM CR front lip and will be making a video on it soon. I'll go over my thoughts on the wing as well. it still looks great and works well. no warping. before you lay down the 3m and bolt it up, make sure you clean the area with something that doesnt have wax in it. you want to give the 3m the best chance to adhere to the trunk.

    Hey man, what size bolts is the hardware. I bought one used but the guy had accidentally thrown out the bolts. Also what size did you use to drill the holes, thanks!!!

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  2 года назад +1

      whats up, man. thanks for watching! this video was filmed so long ago i totally forgot what sized hardware i used. i recommended taking the wing stand to the hardware store and testing out what bolts fit. I think it was an m10 - 1 inch bolt but you should double check. once you find the right size bolt, take some bits and work the hole up to the width of the bolt. i believe I drilled a pilot hole with a much smaller bit and then worked my way up until the bolt could pass through. i also used touch paint fill in the inside of the hole to avoid leaving any exposed metal. good luck and congrats on the wing purchase

    Do u have reinforce the trunk so it doesn't warp or bend at high speeds? I'm debating on getting am aftermarket CR wing but people are saying to reinforce the trunk.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  2 года назад +1

      Yooo thanks for watching! I did not reinforce my trunk for my mugen wing. The cr wing is a lot bigger so reinforcement might be a good idea. I have not noticed any warping with my set up

      Hi Chris, the wing is about 53 inches wide and 4 high measured from the trunk to the to the center of the wing. definitely not the biggest / most functional wing but it looks good lol.

      Thx bud. It's going on a 2018 infiniti q50 red sport so I needed to know the dimensions. My next question is, how far apart are the mounting brackets from each other and how many inches from the rear edge of the wing to the front edge of the wing?
      Thx!!
