  • In this video I installed a Bayson R OEM style front lip for 04-09 AP2 Honda s2000. This was a very easy install and can be done by anyone with little to no experience. I went ahead and added a link below to where I purchased it incase you would like to purchase one for your own s2000. Feel free to comment if you have any questions!

    Nice work Cam! As someone who knew the first s2000, it's awesome to see you getting back into more s2000 content!

      Had one on my first s2000 and now this one, both have been great. Lots of people run them and I prefer it over actual OEM because way less expensive , looks close enough, and less likely to break from accidentally hitting a curb, parking divider or road debris.

    How much did it cost you to have the lip painted. It matches really well. Btw, great video.

    Nice video, curious if you pushed in the clips on the underside? Were there holes (in bumper or undertray?) or did you have to drill yourself as well?

    • @Camsh0ts
      @Camsh0ts  7 месяцев назад +1

      So there are like 3 holes at the bottom of the lip and 3 holes in the bottom of the undertray, but only one lines up somewhat decently. I haven’t popped them in yet, but I will. By doing this, it will push up the middle of the lip more to a more correct position.

      @@Camsh0ts does the lip come with the clips? If not do you have the part number or size for them? I don't want to order the wrong size clips if it doesn't come with it because I was planning on trying to pop those in too so it wasn't only the screws on the side holding it in. Also nice name

    • @Camsh0ts
      @Camsh0ts  6 месяцев назад

      @@cameron2289 the lip comes with all the mounting hardware you will need. Comes with 4 screws (2 for each side of the lip) and 3 plastic push tab clips. Just be aware that the holes on the bottom of the lip don’t line up with the holes on the underside of bumper. You will probably only be able to get one or two in

    Curious what you paid to have the lip paint matched? Did you have to bring something to the shop to match to (the car itself?) or just the OEM paint code.

    • @Camsh0ts
      @Camsh0ts  7 месяцев назад +1

      So I used someone who another s2000 friend used to paint her whole car. He does work on the side when not doing it full time at his job. I gave him the paint code and I actually had him respray the front bumper and hood at the same time to try and get them all to match. Silverstone Metallic is actually a really hard color to paint match due to silver just being a hard color to match in the first place, along with the metallic in it, and also because over the 9 years the s2000 was manufactured, the same silverstone metallic paint code had very very slight variations from year to year. I think I paid maybe $500 or $600 for all of the respray, but it was a bit of a hook up. Should be less than that for just the lip at other shops.

      @@Camsh0tsappreciate the feedback. I picked up a new old-stock AP2 lip from the UK in berlina black but need it sprayed Silverstone. My current bumper is pretty chipped, so I’ll likely look to find a new OEM bumper to get sprayed at the same time vs repairing the existing. Figured I’d give the gas door to the paint shop to do the best match they can with 17 year old paint. Good to know a general ballpark on cost!
