wow must have been amazing he is an underestimated artist and seems to get no acaim for his work im a singer and songwriter my self and would love to have seen him preform live and if i could right like he can and perform it would be amazing
And if the park gates are closed, remember we toured the skies” A total classic!! Love Gary Numan , been a fan since I was 13, wow how time flys…40 yrs later still a huge fan of Gary .. the memories of this song just takes me back… loved how he sang with his old band members, I am sure they are friends forever!! R.I.P. Cedric Sharpley & Paul Gardiner… taken to soon, but never forgotten🙏♥️ with luv from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 stay safe everyone… LA 2022 I am seeing Gary Numan on March 11 2022, The Intruder Tour ! I cannot wait ..🎹🎤📀pure gold !!
@@gavinstarling8737 Hi Gavin it’s Linda from Toronto 🇨🇦, thank you for your nice comment!! I really hope Gary Numan will play in 🇳🇿 New Zealand, that would be amazing !! I am really really SAD 😞!! I was supposed to see Gary on March 11 in Toronto , because of the Omicron situation , he cancelled Toronto , I am just so so upset….he did not reschedule. I don’t think I will ever see him now… anyway that’s life .. take care and stay safe ! Luv Linda 💕📀📀
@@idoliznuman8835 - Totally. The most amazing album ever. But Cedric’s part in it can’t be overstated. In fairness, I’d say the same about Paul Gardiner. Numan gathered some amazingly understated and underrated musicians around him on that album.
This is the first time I watch the video in its entirety after all these years. I never thought it was particularly interesting. That is until I just discovered he appears out of the shadows in his Replicas garb at the very end. What an unexpected surprise.
Love the era of synth music and gary numan was at the top of the tree for me a great visionary and my favourite artist by far,had many happy hours playing his music and still do now
My mother hated Gary Numan from the minute she saw me captivated by Tubeway Army’s first TV performance in 1979 (the only other music she hated more was Joy Division) but the first time I played Love Needs No Disguise she came in my room and started dancing saying she loved it. She couldn’t believe it when she realized Numan was singing lol. Epic tune from an epic line up....now it’s time to play Dramatis - The Shame 😉
I've recently 're-discovered' this track, for the first time in some 40 odd years. I have it on 45, tucked away somewhere, as well as Dramatis's album. And for some reason, I just can't stop playing this. It's without doubt, one of Gary's, finest moments. ❤
I forgot how good this sounds just reminds me how old i have got! i miss the 80s wish i had a time machine, it also proves how ingenious and creative our man is with his continued talent i can't wait for the new album release he is currently working on. 😎👍
Whilst at school my mate Andrew who was a massive Numnoid obviously played all his songs, for me a massive Japan fan, I really liked some of Gary's songs, this is one of my favourites, if I remember correctly the Bside was Take me Home, another absolute masterpiece
From the first word spoken the first keys played this song is ever so perfect. Gary didn't take himself way to seriously, he just has a gift of hard work and talent combined with love and compassion.
Just in case you're interested...... GN was guest vocals only on this song, he had no hand in writing or its production this was down to the band members, it reached no 33 in the UK charts unfortunately, due to lack of effort from their label, the following album tanked.
Love this track. It takes me back to the 80’s, sharing a flat with my sister and her friend. I was the weirdo as the term was used back then. I’d relive it any day x
Brilliant song at the time, and still a brilliant song today. I love the end of the video where Gary is wearing the Royal Artillery mess jacket (Replicas jacket). His most iconic look by far.
This was filmed 13th October 1981 at Shepperton Studios, between Numan's globetrekking journeys. If the first flight attempt had not been aborted late September he would have been unable to participate in the recording. 200 selected fans were invited to attend with 1 friend.
My mother uesed to tailor me a full "berserker-album tour outfit" . I went with my girlfriend - wearing a "Dance Hat" to Sacrificed tour evening at Hammersmith Apollo London. OK wrong outfit , wrong colour of the hair (blue ) hence black was the color of the evening and the tour , but I enjoyed the glimps of the people and the the concert
I see you have all those discs. Does Tico sing along when you play them? Do you have to use headphones to listen to them without a parrot singing over the top? Or do you never get tired of Tico singing? He is wonderful.
I was one of the selected few for the filming of this video. Somewhere in there I was waving my arms and singing along, great day!!
This Song is Areal miracle, what a Genius behind that!May our love always be true !
I was there at Shepperton studios for the shooting of the video. What a day that was !
Did they perform any other songs?
Neat
So was Gemma, I can see her in the audience.
wow must have been amazing he is an underestimated artist and seems to get no acaim for his work im a singer and songwriter my self and would love to have seen him preform live and if i could right like he can and perform it would be amazing
Ryan Walker
No Ryan just this track for the making of the video
I can't understand why this doesn't have more 'likes' , beautiful haunting song xxx
Most regular people dont know how much of a great musician Gary was! Yeah Cars was a hit! But just listen to his catalog! So good!
I don't care what no one says GARY was that Dude Awsome.
Such a wonderful song.Great memories. So good to see those guys performing. Happy days - nothing to touch it these days

One of my favourite Numan tracks ever a d Dramatis were a perfect backing band, great in thier own right. Just need Gary to head to New Zealand again!

🥰
Very under rated track from Gary. I used to play it on repeat back in my teens.....
Good old Cedric on drums, god rest his soul.
Paul gardiner his bassist is gone too.
he looks like an extra from The Omega Man
Cedric was different class his drumming on pleasure principle made the album for me

@@nxj9956I agree Paul gardiner was great bass player outstanding contribution from the pair of them
👌brilliant and beautiful song one of Numans greatest songs
80´s .........................eternels..............
love this track, hypnotic, trance-like, play it on repeat several times!
several thousends times you say as ive been doing for years...
Yes, yes, yes
Totally 😊
Still blows me away in 2020...
Chills still 2024
That Voice!!! 😻
Great single
I still believe Gary Numan is one of the most under rated artists of his era

Telekon suit not Replicas.
@@thetiktokman it was Replicas
@@martinchambers2587 incorrect; Telekon. look it up numbnuts.
This track was written by Dramatis in honour of Gary and the time they spent together touring the world. Superb track.
Love the drumming on this.

I'm sure they hate her too.
Hahaha… so coool DJ Werkz❣️
epic story :D i love it

Ditto! ❤
Enjoying Mr Numans moves in the video - I'm not sure why he says nowadays that he can't dance. Love t
his stylised smoothness ♥
Damn he sure could dance!!
Right! Classic Numan is actually super cool
Safety Dance
Love this song brings back great times in my life
He is so TOTALLY GREAT!!
A genius at work, some contemporaries were putting out decent synth music-no where near the caliber of Numan!
Brilliant song , one of Numans best amongst many others over the last 40 years
Such hypnotic rhythm…. So ahead of its time
Class drumming, I love watching Cedric on this one. Especially when Gary puts the hat on his head while he's playing, he's got a great smile.
He put the hat on Rruseell...
I forgot how good this sounds just reminds me how old i have got! i miss the 80s wish i had a time machine, it also proves how ingenious and creative our man is with his continued talent i can't wait for the new album release he is currently working on. 😎👍

And me
He fittin to drop it..It is FIRE SAUCE.
Yep days gone but not forgotten
Awesome amazing beautiful people amazing beautiful places ❤
A great numan track that is forgotten about. I love tracks like this
Love the end where Gary has the old replicas jacket on vs the trilby look in the rest of the video
That's not Gary

Whilst at school my mate Andrew who was a massive Numnoid obviously played all his songs, for me a massive Japan fan, I really liked some of Gary's songs, this is one of my favourites, if I remember correctly the Bside was Take me Home, another absolute masterpiece
My favorite Gary Numan song ......................... an inmense hug of light from Perú 💋💋💋💋💋💖💖💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💥✨😎✔👍...
From the first word spoken the first keys played this song is ever so perfect. Gary didn't take himself way to seriously, he just has a gift of hard work and talent combined with love and compassion.
One of my favourite tracks of all time by any artists, simply timeless.
One of my favourite tunes of all-time, gary the god
There is nothing cooler than the moment at 0:45 -- Numan was a smooth criminal before Jackson even did the Moonwalk
I finished watching Poser in recommendation of my maker friend and loved the acting the music and now a fan of this band and actress!
Just in case you're interested...... GN was guest vocals only on this song, he had no hand in writing or its production this was down to the band members, it reached no 33 in the UK charts unfortunately, due to lack of effort from their label, the following album tanked.
Not for me it didn’t.
I loved Gary's image of suit and Trilby and Dance LP, so Classy
This, Remember i was vapour and Are friends electric hold the best Numan memories for me. Still hauntingly beautiful.
Just heard this song a few months ago and finally found this video again. Thanks 🙏 for posting this ..
Love this track. It takes me back to the 80’s, sharing a flat with my sister and her friend. I was the weirdo as the term was used back then.
I’d relive it any day x
This is new to me I guess it didn't crossover, There's a lot of good British artists I should've heard before.
This is one of my all-time favorites.
My fave era just around Dance and back from his flight around the work after wembley in 81.
When he was fab before current patroen Gate!
Still listening and still loving in 2021
I still remember this when I was little ❤ awesome song, definitely underrated.
Mega!
Great collaboration! Love the synths. Great image too. NUMAN IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4:27 Gary leaving the scene, the stage and the band in the Replicas outfit...
Just Excellent 👌 ☘️
Brilliant track
Robin Guthrie, Will Heggie and Simon Raymond spring to mind here.
I love the genure of this idea
What a tune.
electronic 🎸 keyboard 🥁 and 🎻 excellent British early 80s 1981 a year before my birth
Hugs from Brazil 🎉
Opa, brasileiro
Brilliant tune, love his early stuff
Not actually his, he didn’t write it
Brilliant song at the time, and still a brilliant song today. I love the end of the video where Gary is wearing the Royal Artillery mess jacket (Replicas jacket). His most iconic look by far.
Excellent!
Sublime!
I had that grey suit Taylor made. Had the trilby and white shoes too! Thought I looked sooooo cool 😎😁👍🏻
I don't remember this 2022 but it's Gary 💘 it
Dance was his best album, wasn't this on certain releases of it before being replaced by Face to Face and I Sing Rain on bonus track releases?
Gary you are magical and first class talented yeah 🤗💖🏆👑
Class love the ending with girl in alley. ❤
appreciate fine artistry

I love this track... does anyone know what happened to Denis/Francis Haines? who part of Dramatis and toured with GN b4 dramatis?
Would have this on full pelt back in the day through my disco decks and 200w p a system.. my neighbor loved me 😂👌
Love your Music...
