Alright, I am going to predict that in the second Blasphemous game, we're going to play as Esdras as a new force seek to usurp the position of the High Wills during when the heart that descended from the sky (which I guess it to be the Penitent One now reborn to the status of godhood)
It's highly suspected that crisanta will be the protagonist of the next game, tho you are right on one thing, maybe tgk can make esdras a secondary playable character, maybe deogracias can be a playable character too
I don't see why esdras would do that from a story standpoint tho. The Penitent one had terminated the false prophets corrupting the miracle and freed custodia. Perpetua herself even helped with achieving this which makes me believe that the Penitent ones intentions weren't nefarious when he took down the high wills.
Why were the high wills so weak though....all the bosses u face are so powerful they call launch of sots attacks like fireball and lasers and yet the high will seem to hv no defense or attack powers...even though (at least I assume) they are the ones who granted all these miracles such as giving the games bosses their powers!
Ending C is the new canon ending attainable from the Wounds of Eventide DLC. Getting this ending first will not impact your ability to see the other endings in NG+ since ascending the file starts the entire story over again. You do need to obtain Ending B before you achieve Ending A, however, since you need to keep the guilt statues intact to see the “bad ending”.

They prob don’t have direct powers of their own so they act by proxy. Also they get their power from others too.
I wish we could play as Captain Crissanta in B2.
