    The number one issue should not be low refrigerant, but should be dirty condenser coils. That’s what I have found time and again.

    • @homecapricehc

      The list was not made based on the priority of thing, but rather listing all possible reason in a random order. However, I do agree that dirty condenser coils are one of the most common issue.

    4:32-4:54 - Fact Check: Just because the compressor is overheating doesn't mean it needs replaced. If your compressor is overheating it could also be due to dirty coils! Clean your coils!!! Air flow matters a lot.

    I have a portable Air conditioner and it goes to regular fan breeze instead of cooling during the day when its hot when I need it, but at night time it doesn't do that at all

    • @homecapricehc
      @homecapricehc  3 месяца назад +2

      It sounds like there could be a couple of reasons why your portable air conditioner behaves differently during the day versus at night.
      Heat Load: During the daytime, when the ambient temperature is higher, your air conditioner may struggle to cool the room efficiently due to the higher heat load. Portable air conditioners are typically not as powerful as central AC units, so they may have limitations in cooling larger spaces or spaces with significant heat gain from sunlight.
      Exhaust Ventilation: Portable air conditioners require proper ventilation for optimal performance. During the day, when it's hotter outside, the exhaust venting may not be as effective if the hot air cannot be adequately expelled. This can lead to reduced cooling efficiency and the air conditioner switching to fan mode to conserve energy.
      Nighttime Cooling: At night, the ambient temperature tends to drop, reducing the overall heat load on the air conditioner. This allows it to operate more efficiently and maintain cooling without switching to fan mode. Additionally, cooler nighttime temperatures may also improve the effectiveness of the exhaust ventilation, further enhancing the air conditioner's performance.
      To address the issue of your portable air conditioner switching to fan mode during the day, consider the following:
      - Ensure proper ventilation for the exhaust hose, allowing hot air to be expelled efficiently.
      - Close curtains or blinds during the day to reduce heat gain from sunlight.
      - Place the air conditioner closer to the center of the room for better air distribution.
      - Consider using additional fans to help circulate cool air throughout the space.
      If the problem persists, it might be worth having a professional HVAC technician inspect your portable air conditioner to ensure it is functioning properly and efficiently. Feel free to fill out this form if you need to find local HVAC technicians: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/

    I have an AC unit that is not controlled by thermostat. We haven't even touched it in 2 months. Today it started to turn on then off by itself. I was thinking electrical but it does this in exact 5 minute intervals. I can't find anything in the manual. It's a Lennox mini split

    Sir
    I have a Hitachi window AC no problem at fan speed Medium, but at fan speed High, it stops after about fifteen minutes and then restarts after five minutes of shutdown.
    What could be the problem?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    I've got a window ac with short cycling problem in the afternoon. It works perfectly fine at night but during the day, especially in the afternoon it remains in the cooling mode for 5 minutes then switches to fan mode for the next 10-15 minutes. It doesn't show that it has switched to fan mode, the cooling mode simply stops working. Its an LG window AC which we bought 10 years ago.

      It sounds like your AC is struggling with the higher daytime temperatures. A few things you might check:
      - Dirty Filter: Clean or replace the air filter. A clogged filter reduces efficiency.
      - Thermostat Issue: Make sure the thermostat sensor isn't misreading the temperature.
      - Overheating: The AC might be overheating due to old age or poor ventilation. Check if the unit is getting enough airflow and isn't blocked by anything.
      - Low Refrigerant: If it's low on refrigerant, it can't cool effectively and might shut down.
      Given that your AC is 10 years old, it could just be wear and tear. You might want to consider having a professional take a look or think about replacing it.

    i have a portable AC and it keep going from cool air to fan air, its a new one and it happen so much time that im thinking in return it, what could be the problem??

    • @homecapricehc
      @homecapricehc  Месяц назад +1

      It sounds like your portable AC might be set to "auto" mode, which switches between cooling and fan modes based on the room temperature. Check your settings and try setting it to "cool" mode only. If that doesn't help, it could be a sensor issue or a defect. Since it's new, consider contacting customer support or exchanging it.

    Bad or going bad, blower motor, and collapsed or leaky air ducts. The compressor and fan were working fine, but the blower was stopping and going every 30 seconds, I let it run for 20 minutes or so and the fins started to freeze.

    • @homecapricehc
      @homecapricehc  8 месяцев назад

      The symptoms you describe, such as a blower motor that is stopping and going, along with frozen fins, may indicate problems with the blower motor itself or issues with the airflow in the system. I would advise to contact HVAC technician to inspect your AC. You can find them by filling the form here: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/

    • @homecapricehc
      @homecapricehc  3 месяца назад

      Here are some common reasons why you might be having this problem:
      Dirty air filter: Replace or clean it.
      Refrigerant leak: Get a professional to check and fix it.
      Faulty capacitor: Have a technician test and replace it if needed.
      Electrical issues: Check for loose connections or damaged wiring.
      Thermostat malfunction: Ensure it's set correctly or replace it.
      Blocked condenser unit: Clear any debris around it.
      Overload protection: Let the system cool down and avoid overuse.
      Fan motor issues: Inspect for damage and replace if necessary.
      System sizing: Ensure the AC unit is appropriate for your space.
      If none of these solutions work, contact an HVAC technician here: homecaprice.com/hvac-technician/

      It sounds like your AC might be short cycling. This can happen due to a few reasons: a dirty air filter, thermostat issues, low refrigerant, or a problem with the compressor. I'd recommend checking the air filter first and cleaning or replacing it. If that doesn't help, you might need a professional to take a look.
