@@pbrider5429 They do but it's not widely known about, there still is a big drinking culture in the Army and RN, it's almost frowned upon if you don't drink, I guess some things never change.
So true especially based in Germany
This is by far one of the best podcasts ever, such a great idea referring to the book. It didn’t just keep the flow of discussion but clearly showed you were invested in having this guest on.
This man decides 99 day bike record ain’t enough and decides to KAYAK THE NILE TO THE OCEAN. Unreal. The crocs might just leave him alone out of RESPECT.
I do this everyday on top of climbing K2 it's nothing. I also have a kid in every country. It's nothing really
@@simpleman7516 😂😂😂
Former British para, Levison Wood, has walked the Nile.
He was accused of cheating during the bike ride and pocketing a large amount of the charity cash.
SAS are trained to drink the Nile 😉
First Jocko podcast I’ve listened to, this is fantastic. Love hearing this Brit talk
Stotty was my DS on my commando course in 2002, great instructor, was extremely well respected on the course for the reasons he mentioned in this podcast (same course as Captain fox) you could just tell he was going to be moving on up higher IE Special forces. Great to see he gets the recognition now for what he has achieved
American here. I need MORE OF THIS!!! MORE BRITS, PLEASE.
This guy is awesome, and down to earth. Humble warrior!
Thanks guys. Now on to my next mission.
Holy shit Jocko reading that book is amazing,is there a whole podcast with him reading it?I would definitely pay for that.
Well done . Excellent interview mate. First time watching and it was good to see a British SF man on your show. Love the respect that can only come from one warrior to another. Lives that most people will never experience.
This is a great podcast. I’ve listen to Jocko before on Rogan, it’s soooo much better having him as the host and sharing his stories and experience. Brilliant
I listen to his podcast on Google. This is the first podcast I've seen him live. He looks nothing like I thought. This was an awesome interview...
Thank you for a lifetime of service Mate!
Thank you Jocko and Dean for 3.5 hours of blissful entertainment, and just WOW do I all the sudden have a respect for life and for the fight! Well done gents
Don't often see Jocko in awe?!
I've seen Jocko in awe a few times on the show.He was in awe when he had on Roger Hayden,General James''Mook''Mukoyama ,John Stryker Meyer,
Colonel Bill Reeder,Jordan Peterson and Rose Schindler(a survivor of the Holocaust).
@tim.... How often do you watch Jocko? Lol
@lazenby. tim The only person in (awe) is you. In fact i didn’t see Jocko in awe of anything with this guy.
He loves the Brits.
@@unitedstatesofamerica9948 That's for sure.I read that his wife was born in the United Kingdom.
Antony Stazika STAZ for short is a must, guy is bulletproof considered one of the fittest SBS soldiers ever
My Dad served at RAF Bassingbourn in the early to mid 60's on Canberra's.
Leaving the forces after 22 years of feeling I was doing something worthwhile was traumatic.
This was an awesome interview.
Did my basic training in Bassingbourn in 1997, Royal engineers.
@@leehannon1756 Hard working buggers the RE's, when I was on the Harrier Force in the 80's on deployment they did the aircraft hides and the tin-strip runway's great chaps.
This ex-SBS guy makes me proud to be British, such a British sense of humour and attitude.

This is probably why our guys make such good soldiers.
Thanks for your service Jocko and Dean. Mad respect. 🇺🇲 🇬🇧
This is one of the best podcasts I've heard from 2 extraordinary men and a Braddah from the islands :)
Brilliant listening!!
I remember when Joe Rogan told you, you need a podcast and you said you had something cooking. He was right! We all need a little bit of Jocko and his buddies stories in our lives. We all sleep better at night knowing there are people like you out there brother! Thank you!!
i was 25th ID infantry and did one year of combat in afghan, and i did a lot... so to hear someone like this great soul really makes me feel grateful for my time... this soul here was just made for the amount he did... fuck ya... cheers brother...
Thanks Jocko and Echo. And thank you to Dean. Much respect
When the content is so interesting you stay for 3:38:53
Brilliant episode. Much respect from Scotland.
Please stay part of the UK. So important.
Not if kranky is still in charge.
Listened to this podcast a few times, and all I can say is what a combination of strength, determination and ability to adapt what a guest on the podcast, and is has given me a goal to strive for If an army royal engineer can become an SBS operative gives no one an excuse I can’t do it.
Definitely changed my view and decision to join up 🤙
it deserves a lot of respect when someone in a position of power treats their subordinates with respect. So many people go on a power trip when given the opportunity.
I did several cycles as an instructor in a scared straight program during my time as an infantry instructor. I fuckin loved it, to think you could get just one kid back on track made it all worth it. Very good feeling.
definitely more brits and other allies please
I’m former Australian army 14 years I was EOD combat engineer SF IRR “IRR means incident response regiment” I’d love to go on his podcast
legend!
Watching the first 5-minutes on repeat! We need this book narrated by jocko!
It's amazing hearing Jocko use so many british phrases. I never thought I'd hear Jocko say "bloke".
Isn't his from .....England?....
It’s so nice to hear REAL heroes give their experience, strength, and hope. To share their ups and downs and how they pushed through. It’s hard to remember that these men are only human, which means that we can all do this same thing, to one degree or another.
Thank you fellas!!
Love how Jocko says the word "Bollocks" and "Knackered". They're such commonly used words over on this side of the pond that I never thought they could sound any other way. Love the podcast mate!
Bloody Hell! 😂
Bollocks is the only pure Anglo-Saxon word we still use. The meaning is the same as it was when Alf the Great was planning the formation of England 👌
As a Good friend once said ;
It's not the Destination,
It's the Journey.
Probably your greatest podcast to date.
Can we get a Australian on now?
Get Harry Moffit on. Ex SAS Australian, just released his new book!
Paul Kale would be a great interview I feel
@@nathanhadwiger2574 yes that would a awesome podcast might need a couple though 🤣
Yes for fucks sake jocko no aussie what a shame
Aussies are G2G
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Dean Stott seems to be an epically righteous cool cool dude.
Great episode. Amazing to hear our fellow brothers across the pond perspective and experiences serving.
Inspiring and a very positive interview.. Thank you for your service Dean, as a fellow Brit who lives in Denmark.. Thank you also Jocko for your service and great interview skills🙏🏻
What a boy. Loved every minute of this
Starting the day off right.
Jocko at 4a, with a side of coffee.
Leif sure did change up his accent a bit since the last podcast lol
Spot on
I thought I was the only one who thought that Dean Stott looks like a bald Leif Babin! Ha! Ha!
@@JR-ju3kj separated at birth haha
haha
His accent is still there. It looks like he is trying to Suppress it.
The jump injury story made me wince! Man I can't even imagine the pain. Made my eyes water!
This was awesome. You gotta get more SAS and SBS folks on here!
This was really interesting to listen to, all the way through no dull bits.
