I do a similar short "meditation" where I imagine on a scale of 1-10 where I am in the moment, then see if I can internally generate (often using rapid-fire somatic operations and focal shifts) the next higher number, then the next. Then I challenge myself to playfully hold the feeling as I open my eyes and move through the next project. Instead of trusting my current state and its default emotions, I go ahead and generate better ones that are more resourceful, flexible, and resilient. Boom.
excellent video it combines so many things for me i had watched him in videos and assumed he was too advanced for me but your summary simplifies and lays it out for me thanks
Feeling good is actually something you can generate in any moment (with a good technique) to stay focused on tasks that lead to successful outcomes. The brain doesn't care what's real or vividly imagined in the mind. It's the positive playful momentum we're reaching for, a state that makes the tasks easier to stay with, even reducing the time to mastering a skill. The more playful positivity associated each time the task is actuated, the more the brain will endorse the task in all future scheduling of that task. You then want to do it because of the aggregated pleasure it provided, the memory. It's the same pleasure systems that endorse drugs, alcohol, video games, etc. This time, we use intention and choose the addiction to a productive resource for building wealth, health, networks, etc. There are also good techniques for intentionally extinguishing the memories of pleasure from bad habits so the brain no longer endorses them, making initiation and focus easier.

It will if one focus on the journey and progress instead of the end goal
👍
Some ideas but nothing useful tbh
Nice review of a mediocre book. Total pastiche for the most part.
