Improvements: 1. Add a filter on the air intake. 2. The lamp should be placed above the food since a lot of food will drip while drying. 3. Add a pan in the bottom that will collect said drippings from food. 4. While cardboard is cheap, use some other easily accessible material that is less known to be sensitive to moisture. 5. Hot air rises. So air should be forced in from the top and be let out from the bottom side.
I did this project! Literally exact step by exact step when I was in my elementary school's gifted program! Heat lamp, dimmer switch, even the aluminum tape and old computer fan!!! Hahahahaha wow what a flashback!
Debbie Meyer not even tape use proper wire terminals and junction box for example Wago has these terminals specially made for flexible wires which would be great for this instance
*with my grandma* Me: oh this looks fun to make Grandma : *goes to the storeroom of her house and returns with a professional food dehydrator* Grandma : here you go sweetheart, haven't used it much so you can have it My heart : *dies*
Just a thought. Checking the power consumption on the Heat lamp and power supply so you could use the smallest inverter possible and add in a 12v battery as well as a solar pannel so that you could have a complete off-grid solution that doesn't require constant sun to work.
Surprised you didn't include a heat sensor. It would be nice to know what the max temp was, and how long it took to get to that temp. Outside of that? Fun project.
Hi king of random people, I have been watching your videos from 3 years Can you please make a vedio of your crew and work station tour with you inventions
Saw a psychic yesterday, she said house fires were going to increase by 10%.....i still don't understand how it could jump that high... Oh well time to build a super sketchy dehydrater.
It seems you'd be better off buying an actual dehydrator that stores more food and can maintain the desired temperature inside so you don't constantly run a heater. There's also less risk from the sketchy wiring and heat lamp in a cardboard box.
Lau's and I am so happy for the game to be a great day to be the king and king king and I love the game so but I cant play with my family but it would have to have a better way of playing with my family or something like this one and I only had to play a game and play the it cards ♣️ and said it I did not know how to buy a game new or the king and the flash game which
YES I just picked apart my old pc and found a 90mm fan. I don’t have use for it AS I cannot mount it in my new PC. Edit: thank you guys! This came in clutch!
Hey KOR cutting holes on the top is incorrect. Reason: Cold air is denser than hot air or the air containing moisture is actually cool air and thus would settle at the bottom, while the hot air would rise up so instead of ventilating you are actually making the process of heating or dehydrating slower.
Heat is not important to the drying process, air flow is. That is what the heat source is for, to create a thermal current, to move the air. Every dehydrator/smoker has vents at the top.
Hot Tip : You can buy 12v ceramic hair straightener heaters on ebay for a couple of bucks, you can then run it all on the same power supply (one with more than 0.75a than in the video though. the 2.1a one i use works fine). Its what i do for my biltong (jerky) boxes. I put them in a little terracotta plate from a broken planter to keep it off the cardboard, even though i don't have them hot enough to burn the cardboard/foil.
Now that was a decent video something useful. I liked the idea and I have everything to make one except the box and racks so think I'm going shopping lol.
I spent time in Nevada. All you have to do is leave food outside in the summer. 😀
You can only insult my state if you live in it
But your not wrong
electronicsNmore lol
Arizona is the am same in ohonix out tin foil on the side walk and crank and egg and puts some bacon on enjoy

thank you 🫶🏻
Yup. Definitely needs a thin piece of open cell foam or something similar outboard of fan.
I did this project! Literally exact step by exact step when I was in my elementary school's gifted program! Heat lamp, dimmer switch, even the aluminum tape and old computer fan!!! Hahahahaha wow what a flashback!
We used black duct tape for decoration tho hahahaha
@@kingkasper4950 Did it work?
They sold you a box they were going to recycle? Wow.
Charles Hartmann *cue childish gambino beat* THIS IS AMERICA
A sucker is born every day.
Lol
My thoughts exactly...
Charles Hartmann they sold them the air that was inside of the box.
Those electrical connections grind my gears
parkeerwacht same!
Ditto!
Exactly, maybe use eletric tape

@@priniz agreed! Those things are expensive
That sounds spot on.
This is a great video for apocalypse preppers and campers

Hi again
NOTICE ME SENPAI
Its cheaper easier and way more practical to just by a cheap dehydrator
KawaiiNightmare or just air dry meat
Thank you! My mom and I wanted a dehydrator, but they're expensive. With this, we can make our own! :D
Did this invention helps u? I also wanna to make this but i want to know that is it worth to make.?
Now I'm craving some beef jerky. Guess I'm gonna make some :)
Putting some small feet on the bottom of this would make that door work MUCH better!
Oh yeah, it would, since the door goes underneath the actual thing!
Just a thought. Checking the power consumption on the Heat lamp and power supply so you could use the smallest inverter possible and add in a 12v battery as well as a solar pannel so that you could have a complete off-grid solution that doesn't require constant sun to work.
The intros that you have been rolling out are awesome. Must have taken a lot of time, appreciate your hard work

Outside of that? Fun project.
You actually bought an empty cardboard box?
Wow
DanVR
Some SpongeBob shit😂😂😂
DanVR wonder how big they get
Where else are you going to get a cardboard box?
Where I live supermarkets have cardboard boxes as an alternative to paper or plastic bags and they're free.
wtf where do you live? I have never heard such a thing.

Tell me youre absolutely helpless with any kind of diy without telling me youre absolutely helpless with any kind of diy.
probably one of the few things you make that i will actually make for myself

Bunny Warren not wrong I got one from Amazon for like 30 dollars and I love it
They always mention that this videos is only for entertainment..😐

Correct, a heat source isn't even required. You can dehydrate food on a box fan with some paper filters at room temperature.
Where do you purchase paper air filters? Even on Amazon I can only find fiberglass!
The new intros are SICK!!!
And for $5 more than the cost of the supplies for this project you could purchase an actual food dehydrator 🤣
That intro is SICK!!!
*Kings of Random*

Why wooden dowels? It might end up charring an the racks might fall. Metal takes a lot more to lose its integrity.
a-lpha of Zeldaforme Gaming wrong it's quite the opposite in fact. Metal tends to bend because of heat
True, but at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit beyond where wood turns to charcoal and crumbles. (Source: Me, blacksmith and Professional Firefighter)
It’s just a heat light. Not hot enough to make a wood char
Because of the airflow, the inside of the box won't get hot enough to burn the wood.
It would be better to secure them along the sides rather than across as it's allow for easier removal and placement of the racks
Love the new intro and the video!
Make one of This that is powered by the sun
Ahh Hao that is where the rest of that steak went 😅 mmmm... Beefjerky..... Also..... THESE OPENING INTROS ARE SOOO COOL! 😁 Great job TKOR crew! 👑 😎 👊
