Dude this is it as far as cooking channels go for me. The simplicity, the improvisational use of common utensils, the explanation of trial and error that you went through. Dope stuff
Really digging all your recipes. As someone who is wildly overweight at the moment but has in the past been totally shredded and aesthetic AF with good size. Having some recipes like yours in the cookbook really make dieting down much easier. Also highly appreciate the macros breakdown. Hope to see more of you. Subbed to your patreon at lowest tier cuz that’s all I can afford. Burrito video blowing up. Gj
Cooking as always seemed like the most daunting task for me to learn. The simplicity in your videos make me realize how much I was overthinking it and that with the proper knowledge, you can be healthy and cost efficient at the same time. Keep up the awesome videos man!
You are the man. I can’t believe I never thought of pork jerky and just checked the nutrition on that and it’s great for getting jack city so I’m making some tonight
I’m not a fan of regular store bought jerky bc it’s always seemed like sus meat to me lol but I didn’t know it could be this easy to make it on your own. I will definitely try this recipe next week! Thanks for your hard work 💕
Excellent videos, well made, simple instructions, great job here. Happy to subscribe and see what else you have in store. Old chef hack, if you will press the plastic down on the meat and then against the wall of the bowl instead of around the edge it will eliminate any oxidation from the trapped oxygen in the bowl. Looking forward to future videos!
Looks mad tasty and easy to make sweet video! how long does the meat last without refrigeration? Im thinking on making some for a week lomg camping trip
Love how put together the video is! Thank you so much! I personally can’t eat pork, do you have other suggestions of affordable beef cuts that’s good to make jerky like this?
but a way to help heat the place during the cold winter nights. but yes i would do too much tast testing. so would need to triple the amount cooked up.
Question! Why doesn't the jerky last longer than 2 weeks? In the past before electricity, didn't people keep their jerky for months to help survive winter?? I don't get it. Also I had a couple extra strips that I fried up and wow. It's tasty even if you just pan fry it. I think I will work pork tenderloin into more of my cooking!
i have used beef heart a couple of times works great and its even lower in calorie. also can be found cheaper then pork tendorloin occasionally. not recentely though
@@zwoomy2769 nah I have a dehydrator that I use, but doing like he did should work just as well, if it's for your dogs chicken breast might be an even cheaper option
The internet says 1-2 months if stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. When I make it for a week long work trip I take it with me in a ziplock bag. That bag gets abused and the jerky sits in the hot truck at length. In those conditions I don’t like eating it beyond a week. It starts to taste stale, if that makes sense. But when I eat it at home I keep it in a jar or ziplock bag in the fridge and 1-2 months sounds about right to me. Except it never lasts that long lol.
@jacobgonzales740 turned out fantastic and I've recommended this method to everyone I know. I liked it so much I ended up buying a big 10 tray dehydrator. Thanks for the vid!

I’ve got a plenty of meal prep ideas on the docket. Next video, however, is of a smaller recipe. I’m also open to suggestions if there’s anything you’d like to see made high protein/lower calorie.
Whoops I dropped the ball on this 😂. It’s really up to you how much is a serving. Doing some quick math, 4 pounds of raw pork tenderloin equates to roughly 368 grams of protein, 40 grams of fat, 16 grams of carbs, and 1,920 calories, in total. If you make that 20 servings, you’re looking at 18 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat, 1 grams of carbs, and 96 calories. How many pieces of jerky is that in total? That depends on how you slice the pieces. But you’re looking at maybe 28 grams or 1oz, roughly, for one serving as described above. My guess is that is between 2 and 4 average pieces, so like 3.
He used temp about 60 C , the protein (which builds muscles) is denaturating (basicly becomes cooked) in 40 C so over 4-5h in this lower temp it is as cooced as 20 min in boiling hot water
I added onion and garlic powder when i made this. Not to much but it definitely changed the profile. My fredmeyers recently had a buy one get one free of the pork tenderloin. To say the least i have copius amounts of beef jerky and my appartment now PERMANENTLY smells like this

Thank you for sharing, this is awesome
Looks amazing! you got a new subscriber here from this video, and the breakfast burrito vid! Amazing!
Thanks for the video. I will use it to make treats for my dog. Without all of the spices of course.

Got to get some skewers as I'm doing pork belly this weekend
I love your recipes and content!!! These jerkies look so good :)
I'm currently spending around £30 a week buying beef jerky from the store so I'm going to the next level
how long will it last and how should i store it?
Quality > quantity with this guy's vids.
How do you know the pork is cooked? With the oven door open I’m not sure the oven stays hot enough for it to cook

Can I do this with chicken feet and hearts? It's for my dog
What beef cut can you use?
Whatever lean cut you want! Too much fat and it can go bad quicker.
Wowww what a recipe!
Thank you dude. From one cheap person to another
Can you do this in a dehydrator or in a pellet smoker?
Yes!
i want beef jörki, this looks delish bro

My oven won’t work with an open door. What can I do?
If it’s a convection oven, turn on the fan inside of it and set it to the same low temp. The airflow is what you need
@@ethanpaffwhat oven setting do you use? I have found that I can keep the door open and the oven on, on only some settings.
Im trying this method right now. I improvised on the marinate but shouldnt make a difference. i will update on how it turns out! Thanks for the vid!
Update?

Hello!! Do u have the Per Serving data yet?
it’s homemade it’s not going to have a serving data unless you want to do it yourself
With proper storage how long will this jerky last?
The internet says 1-2 months if stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. When I make it for a week long work trip I take it with me in a ziplock bag. How much time can this be stored?
2-3 weeks maybe
Thank you I was about to buy a fancy ass dehydrator when I can just use my damn oven
Although it looks pretty cool to make our own jerky, in terms of gas and time ($$), is it worth doing it ourselves?
Very much so worth it
Haha fhe hard part had me laughing 😂
Yo, any new meal prep vids coming up ? Such as the burrito
I’ve got a plenty of meal prep ideas on the docket. Next video, however, is of a smaller recipe.

Whqt kind of meet is this exactly
Pork fillet/tenderloin
Use only salt and butter
4:50 😂
Is it safe to make this with chicken?
No, the government will fucking kill you if you use that method with chicken
Beef tenderloin cheep ???...
Hey what about the parasites that pork can carry? Isn’t that akin to eating toxins in pesticides etc?

Wait, so is dehydrated meat in this case uncooked?
Good question. Dehydration qualifies as cooking. It’s cooking but at a low heat.
