    Pretty cool, Id tin, solder and heat shrink the pump wires though just to keep em from corroding or shorting out if the electrical tape degrades. But in a pinch just to demonstrate it works or for people with little to no soldering skills itll work, it would be kind of cool to add some LEDs too, maybe on the bigger version.

    There’s a very specific reason your pump needs to be covered with water. Most water pumps can move incompressible water, but if air gets into the pump, it just sucks the air and doesn’t have enough pressure to pick up water. So, air just circulates inside the turbine and the pump stalls.

    Hey guys and gals! Really appreciate all your work. I thought of a little twist to this project. The idea is to use a wine bottle or something like that because it would have a raised bottom to it (insert pun here.) therefore showing the whirlpool effect better. Also led’s and a little glitter ✨

      can it explode when in a fire, yes the myth buster did it. Does it actually put the fire out, no, however it can blow all the flammable stuff away, and put the fire out that way.

      it is either can a fire explode or catch on fire because explosions can happen without fire

      @KhOrganization 6 лет назад +6

      Laura Rogers do you guys know about what liquid I’m talking about? Or do you guys think I’m making it up? Idk how the science work buts there’s a liquid that when you pour it and you just hold it at a slight angle it’ll still keep pouring because of the strong bonds it has (or another reason but I’m wrong). It’s a pretty viscous liquid. So I’m wondering if something can be done with that liquid.

    That's really cool! If I were making it, I'd probably cut off the top of the cup (before measuring the water) and sand it smooth so it's a little less obvious that it's a solo cup haha. :) My cat's drinking fountain has what looks like the exact same pump!
