    I hope Fabfilter are kicking you something back for your unique and masterful tutorials. You buy these plugins and they sit around not doing too much and then you come along. Wow.

    There's a lot of videos where you have used Fabfilter saturn 2, and the biggest question I have is why sometimes your drive and level knobs change to the color red in some videos?

    Quick FYI : It is possible to modulate Saturn 2 as an inserted plugin with a MIDI controller in Pro Tools. However, in the case of working with a virtual instrument that requires it's own MIDI data stream, this can only be done in Post, ie: after recording the VI MIDI notation. this is beacuase Pro Tools 'realtime' MIDI engine can only process one channel of MIDI I/O at a time. You will need to create a separate MIDI track and assign the MIDI output of that track directly to the listed Fabfilter Saturn 2 plugin. Ensure that the MIDI track is selected when you want to input/record MIDI performance data.
    This workaround also works great for plugins like Guitar Rig 6 Pro inserted on an Audio track (which does not process MIDI data). Just add a separate MIDI track and direct the output of that MIDI track to the Guitar Rig plugin and you can MIDI-learn, control, record & edit any of the plugin's parameters.

    Yo so if l want to Bus a Saturn 2 for my mid range, should l use linear phase and high quality ? In my mixing stage

    • @sageaudio
      @sageaudio  Год назад

      If you're only affecting the mids, or one frequency range while leaving the others unaffected, it's best to use linear phase. I've found this to also be the case when using the band's mix dial.

    Too much info in too short a time for my old brain..!! Need same info but with more time/examples, this plugin needs a few tutorials in depth i.e. Saturn 2 for dummies (like me).
