He aint joking! Many other reactors on line who have watched/listened to that track having never heard of Porcupine Tree before, after 1 listen have come away with that exact assessment.
Agree ! For me its one of the best live performance in prog rock/metal music you can see and hear. I highly recommend it to you. Great profile and reactions indeed
Thanks for doing this one! And it was great to see your reaction to it! Looking forward to Anesthetize from the same concert in Tilburg. They were at their peak live back then. And Anesthetize is also very, very good!
Very happy you chose to go for a live version. This band SHINES when they play live. As many have recommended, Anesthetize from the same set in Tilburg is an absolute masterpiece! For other recommendations, I do love their live version of Hatesong, and Fear Of A Blank Planet from their latest live show in Amsterdam for something more recently recorded!
re is a Live video out there for Porcupine Tree doing the song "Dark Matter" which as I get to know you I believe you will Love, an absolutely filthy guitar tone, searing lead work, and drumming by Gavin!!! It's a really above the rim Video...check it out sir
Another vote for Anesthetize Live The PT back catalogue is so mixed with different genres, but you're obviously enjoying the heavy side and the contrast from rock riffs to mellow landscapes. Anesthetize Live is an epic journey along those lines. Get comfortable as it's not a short song, but a rite of passage for anyone getting into Porcupine Tree
Welcome to the global Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree fan base BDB. There are about another 10 albums worth of PT for you to immerse yourself in! So strap yourself in. I can see a few of the classics being recommended below already. If you like the style of this track, check out the following: Way Out of Here, Open Car, Hate Song, Sleep Together, there is a medley as well; 2 tracks joined together called Strip the Soul/.3, any and all of these must of course be watched/listened to LIVE to fully get the brillance of the band. And if you want to check out what they are doing right now, check out from their album Closure/Continuation.LIVE that was released just last year: Harridan or Fear of a Blank Planet, they both have videos released by the band from the DVD available now on RUclips. Enjoy and keep em coming!
Great reaction as always! ❤🔥Watching Porcupine Tree's live performance of 'Cheating The Polygraph' at Tilburg is an absolute thrill! Steve Wilson's approach to music composition is unparalleled, offering a refreshing delight to my ears with every note. Planning to do a bass cover of 'Shesmovedon' on my channel, I'm excited to tackle the challenge of capturing Colin Edwin's intricate basslines. Though polyrhythms may not be on the agenda, the musical journey ahead promises to be both rewarding and exhilarating!
Anesthetize Live from this same show in Tilburg is probably the single best Live performance you'll ever see, no joke!

What they both said👆🏻
Anesthetize from Tilburg must be your next Porcupine Tree reaction.
Agree with the above

What happens now live from this show by Porcupine Tree. You'll enjoy that one for sure.
One the the best live bands to see!.... Also Steven Wilson live is a must watch, who is the lead singer, and plays with only talented musicians.

Great reaction!
This is one of my 2 favorite Gavin Harrison showcase pieces. The other is Way out of Here, also live from Tilburg.

Keep going mate...this band is a very deep rabbit hole...always go live, and don't be afraid to realize PT goes back to the late 1990s

I feel the same way about PTree. Some of the transitions were rough for me, but def keeping an eye on them.
