I always wondered why the epic mickey ears logo didnt look exactly like mickeys head. Its interesting that they kept the original mickey design for the logo, pins, etc

Yeah, Oswalt was originally supposed to be the main villain, so basically if the story would be, the Phantom block makes a deal with Oswalt and they combined to turn the blot into Oswalt and I think that was what the storm block was originally supposed to look like the Oswalt and blot combining
Interestingly they said tbe Blot was Mickey's old enemy. It seems that along with his name being The Phamtom Blot, the Shadow Blot may have originally been a mutated version of Mickey's old foe.
Agreed. I wouldn't mind seeing more refined Blot-like abilities incorporated in a potential EM2 Rebrushed, considering the post credits scene of EM1. (If THQNordic gets the greenlight from Disney, Purple Lamp should reimagine that entire game, honestly).
The idea of being able to create structures and perform powerful attacks with Ink is pretty cool imo. Though ultimately the brush concept rules surpreme.

I love the game we got but I can't deny i would've wanted to see how this played out- while im mixed on the artstyle it would've been cool to see this mickey/blot hybrid. Maybe they'll go back to it at some point in the future....probably not but a man can hope
I feel like This trailer paints Mickey as the villain when in reality, the Phantom Bolt and Oswald are the villains during the game’s development at this point in time.
I’ve had a lot of questions about this early plot mostly because it sort of pins neither Mickey OR Oswald as good here, Oswald kidnaps him using the Blot, and Mickey retaliates by terrorizing the wasteland citizens. I’m kind of wondering if that’s one of the reasons why they didn’t use this, I can’t really see any “Hero” path in a game with a plot like this.
The logo looks cool, so I’m guessing they tried to be more consistent with it, also in some interviews they said they had to go too far so when the higher ups told them to tone it down, it gave them more freedom to do more things
It was from various background music CDs I've collected over the years from the late 90s to late 2000s. It was a pretty stupid idea uploading all that and lying about it. Should've just made it an ARG then anything else... Also I used third-party tools to back the server up before I nuked it.

@@mtcswaymobile3850 because during development they though about giving mickey a redesign which is what you see here in the Trailer (in my opinion I think it's looks better in 2d to be honest)
This redesign was meant to make Mickey look older - similar to what Sonic’s modern design did If it was tweaked more as a 3D model to shrink his head, make his proportions more uniform, and his ears move like they do in the final game, it could’ve worked. But of course, Disney didn’t want Mickey’s design to be radically altered for the game.
It was for a while I believe, only a clip with the blottings and the two big blots were the only available clips without audio, but this is the full pitch with audio now found
