Actually the grim reaper type character is the phantom blot a forgotten mickey antagonist who was thought to be added in epic mickey but they decided to add an original character instead of an already existing forgotten character hence why we got the blot
Yeah, I think they also removed him so people wouldn't mix up the two Blots
