  • Here's another really beautiful tune from the great Danish Midwest musician Dwight Lamb. It's called "Ude på landet" and it's an old hopsa from the late 19th century with cabaret roots, according to my friend Kristian Bugge, whose fiddling I studied to learn this tune. It sounds great on the mandolin for #MandolinMonday and at the end of the video I try it on fiddle too and it's nice on fiddle! Jeez any tune by Dwight Lamb is pretty great. He had an amazing repertoire. Here's a podcast (in English) from Kristian that talks about Dwight's lost Danish repertoire:

That certainly is a fine tune, and it's very nicely played!
