Olle Bridal if I had to guess, I’d say he was attempting an over under pass which is often a good counter for a failed triangle attempt. However, you can only hit an over under pass if you have control of your posture. The reason why he got triangle’d (aside from giving up his arm) was that his posture was already broken which is why his opponent was so able to sink it in easily. That’s why it’s important to remember steps when it comes to Jiu Jitsu and to never get ahead of yourself
Enjoy it. Competitions can be a little nerve wracking at first but still fun. It's quite different to rolling in the gym as everyone is going 100% in competition.
I got my blue belt in this year (2014) and continued to train regularly until 2016. Life stuff happened and I train a little less regularly but still training. In 2018, I had a knee injury that required surgery and I fell off after that. I’d like to get back to training but realistically, it will be in a more casual way. I would be happy to train twice per week and hope to slow roll my way to belt promotions. My knees are not good so I will need to be careful to supplement with strengthening exercises.
@@Rochenstein Okey alright well yea hope you're able to get back into it casually then, yea rehab training those knees in the gym and getting back into bjj at your own pace, hope it works out for you all the best.
love people commenting here "should do that and that!" or "why he did that?" ... Man, it's easy to say that behind the keyboard. Try your luck on the mat. Oof I forgot, you're all black belts 😏
the guy coaching you is just awesome i wish i get adviced so good aswell...nice sub!!!!
Yep, wanted to say this. Clear, calm and concise instructions; just what you want
Great match!! Loved watching the back-and-forth. That was a fantastic triangle at the end! Solid work by both competitors.
Must've been an easy win having Connor Mcgregor coaching you.
great coach and student confident in doing what he says, and it worked great!! Im just starting but that coach def gave him advice that worked!!
Lesson #1 Don't atack from the guard.
Why did the blue GI pull his arm out to give up Triangle?
Because white belt

Lmao my exact question. He gave him the triangle

In guard going for collar grips is crazy. He should have been armbarred like 10 times. I like black gi's coaches advice.
One guy getting advice from the coach is not fair.
wow. He hand fed you that triangle by pulling his arm out.
Either way, great job!
Great side assist and great challenge for both
This is why you respect the collar grip.
Was the GB trying to choke the other guy from outside the guard?
+Fulca Yes, that's what allowed me to get into that armbar position a couple of times.
I know... one should not be trying to choke when inside the guard.
+Fulca although that's not a smart and effective thing to try..
very good fight. I like your game. because your style is very similar to mine i could learn my leassons for my very frist competion.

I saw so many openings for black gi to do a triangle
Did you continue with bjj, where are you at now?

that was beautifull at the end
Why the white belt without any stripe could be so technical and experienced ?
Some academies don't care about stripes, at least at white belt...
Great battle!
Nice finish
Blue should've been taking pointers from black gi coach haha
2:24 my mum whit me and my brother
awesome!
O cara arrastando os dois foi a melhor parte...kkk
Thats my category!!
Lol,. the guy in blue purposely pulled his own arm out and give the guy the triangle.
Nah, I think he thought he could do a pressure pass
philupp!
