You sir rock! You stayed cool, had great frames, and waited for your opportunity. Opponent got cocky and you made him pay with that armbar which was dope! Well done sir...
What a comeback 👏 I had 2 comeback wins 2 weeks ago in my first tournament. Both fighters were up 2-0 via takedown (yes I'm working on my defense) and ended up subbing both via triangle choke because I'm so comfortable in closed guard. Lost my gold match and ended up getting silver, but it feels good getting those comeback wins, it drains your opponents momentum
White went for a cross collar while in black’s guard. Personally, I don’t think it was cockiness, more of just white belt-ness lol. Awesome job by both🤙
@@jasper_42678exactly, it's quite typical. that's one of the first (if not usually the first) attacks one learns to go for from the mount position. white belts are often misled and try a cross-collar choke inside their opponent's closed guard, because it feels similar to them
By standing up he sealed his armbar fate, should've get low and heavy and grip his arms together instead of creating space for the opponent to stretch out the armbar.
He might have survived this also if he immediately rotated his arm inwards to prevent overextension. It's risky, but it can work if done quickly. It creates an opportunity for omoplata, but he's a tall dude, so he might've pulled it off
Imagine being a white belt, probably at your fist comp, and being that cocky. Then losing. Most likely didn't continue with BJJ because of that. Wildly idiotic. Plank.
White belt classic. Going for a cross collar while in someone's guard.
Got it! I had to see it twice but now i can appreciate when the opponent got cocky and tried to go for the cross collar!
Respect for both oc
opponent got a little cocky and tried to choke from within your guard...way to take advantage of the opportunity!
Not sure if he was cocky or didn't know any better. I mean, he's a white belt.
I mean cocky it’s a little harsh but my white belt ass would have aimed for an baseball choke too especially if the deep grip is there
That's what you got when you get cocky. Good job

How long have been doing BJJ for your first tournament
@kaprtyn i trained about 10 months
I'm missing the cocky part. When did it happen? Opponent had a nice osoto gari. That can knock someone out on concrete.

That armbar 😵😵😵
Still training? Purple Belt?
Great comeback
Nice job! 👍🏼👍🏼
nice armbar but why lightweight vs middleweight?
kurtis vollert no enough people in my division, so they combined them.
@@BaranNCTMB ah so you went up from light to middle and won solid
@@Crystals10000 yeah, it was that or get a refund and go home.
@@BaranNCTMB yea that wouldnt be fun but good job on winning anyways always fun to beat guys above your size xD
Was very happy to see him pull off that armbar. Dude in white was cocky, and did nothing but try to stay on top.
That's why it pays to not be cocky
Nice job!
Wow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was originally rooting for the white Gi until he disrespected his opponent

@@alistaircollins8721ah, i missed that. thanks. yeah it's poor attitude
the white gi dude started like he was roger gracie or something ....deserved that loss.
what's the problem with the way he started? regular posture, legit takedown

I love when people try to act like they know, and in doing so actually reveal how little they know.

They allow men to wear stuff now with the gi? in my whitebelt years, we were not allowed to.
What do you mean wear stuff with? What?
