  • Great opponent with a great ability to move his hips. Although he gave me a hard time, I finished winning on points 12 - 2.

    First time I've seen a referee not instantly DQ on the knee reap. Great job by him by just adjusting and explaining.

      can you explain what the knee reap is ?

    • @williamwatson3580
      @williamwatson3580 3 года назад +3

      Just before the stop and reposition the guy in blue had his opponents leg trapped with his legs and was turning to the Inside, that is a knee reap. It puts a ton of pressure on the knee for the person who's leg is trapped. The end result could be really bad for the person who's leg is trapped.

      I honestly thought the same thing. Other than him sitting on the mat, which wasn’t even that big of a deal, he was well-behaved. Also, that one minute warning is crucial for us bigger guys, so kudos to little man for that!

      For me, and granted this is just my personal preference, I have a hard time hearing my coach as it is, I don’t need further distractions, especially from a higher pitches voice which will cut through most of the sound. As for the minute warning he gave, my guess is that he was already winning points and in a dominant position, it was more so don’t let the other guy know he has to make a move, that or he may have relaxed and gotten submitted if he thought time was on his side. Not sure though, just my educated guess
