Instant Pot Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Ingredients:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ripe bananas
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tbl oil
1/3 cup of choc chips
Combine all dry ingredients. Stir together .
In a separate bowl;
Mash bananas
Add in egg
Combine well
Add in oil
Add in vanilla extract
Combine well
Combine both bowls
Fold in chocolate chips
Put batter into loaf pan, spring form pan or casserole dish (I used a corning-casserole dish) **I have an 8 quart IP
Add 1 cup of water to IP.
Place trivet inside.
Cover with aluminium foil
Put banana bread on top of trivet.
Manual setting for 30 minutes (**if you have an 6 quart cook for 40 minutes)
Natural pressure release.

I did make this and it turned out a little too moist, I think my pan was too big. next time I will get the fat daddy pan, thank's again for the recipe, its good just a little moist.Nicky

looks good, I like the recipe geared to a smaller pot! hope it will work in my 6qt
If your using a smaller, deeper dish, you may just need to adjust your cook time (longer). Experimentation is all part of the cooking process to come up with what works for you. I modify recipes all the time to fit my tastes or what I have on hand to cook with or in

The cake didn't rise, it was 1/2 thick. I Used spring foam pan. What size of pan did you use?

Hmmmmm. Your recipe is the first I've encountered where you actually put some oil into the mix. Any kind of oil? Olive oil? Avocado? The purpose of the oil is to make it moist? Thanks.
I used vegetable oil and yes it helps with the moisture
mine was moist so I think I will leave the oil out next time, but it is a good recipe, and tasts good.
I just found this recipe and I would love to give it a try! I have a different pressure cooker but most instant pot recipes work very well in mine.😉 D only problem is that I don’t have a trivet what can I use instead of that? Tfs! ☺️💯
I saw a video showing a sling made of what looked like a few layers of rolled up foil that was long enough to go under the pot and up high enough to use as a handle.
@@LaMoynihan1 Canning jar rings will work as a trivet, as well as balls of tinfoil or a snake made from tinfoil.
I wounderd if it took 30 min in pressure cooker how long in oven? Looks good though

It will be more moist in an instant pot.

gypsyrose1958 mine wasn’t only a half inch high. Sounds like something was a tad off. Do you live in a high elevation, I know that will sometimes mess with recipes.
What can i replace banana with?
lilly roon banana is kind of part of banana bread. You may just want to search for a chocolate chip bread recipe
Will this work in a 3qt instant pot?
Pj Savage I would say no for the simple reason you wouldn’t fit that size spring form into a 3qt.
Jason - find a pyrex dish or a corning ware dish that fits in your instant pot and downsize the recipe accordingly. That seems to work for us in our 3qt pot.

How dare you put chocolate chips, in my banana bread!!!!!!!!!!! Banana bread is fine on its own, without chocolate!
Chocolate chip's give it a great taste, but I do like plain banana bread.
