Found the video by accident. The thermostat came installed in the newly built home we bought. There was no publication supplied on the thermostat, and all I could find was a user's guide that answered very few of my questions. Setting up Auto Change was one of my main problems. Your video is excellent. I watched it twice, then set up Auto Change on the first try. Problem resolved. Thank you.😊
Thanks for the vid! On my model I had to hold down “mode” and “plus” for 5 secs. Then in the ISU, I changed 300 to 1 (to enable auto mode), and change 303 to 2 (for 2 deg changes). Then i want to keep my house right around 73 when I leave for the weekend so I set my cool temp to 74, and my heat temp to 72.
Great video. I was told by the person who installed my unit that there was no ability to set it so it would automatically turn on the heat or cool air based on the temperature settings vs. current temperature. I figured that made no sense given what I know about software.
Shouldn't cool's min temp be higher than heat's max temp? i.e. If you ideally want it to be about 70 degrees, you'd want cool to kick on if it gets to about 72 and heat to kick on if it gets to about 68.
Yes, you are correct.. on the video I was flipping it back and forth to show how the heat / cool turns on based on our settings.. Also, you can set the auto difference level after which the heat/cool should start. I didn't show that in the video...
Thanks. I was worried I did it incorrectly. I assume the auto differential is the other thing you’re talking about. I saw that in the config (I’m manipulating it in Home Assistant through zwave) but was afraid to mess with it. Default of 0 seems fine for my use case.
Most of my neighbors got it done with the same model.. try again if you have the same model.. it was little tricky for few to get into the actual menu..

Happy that the video helped you..
Thank you for this video!!! Really helpful as I couldn't find anywhere on how to turn on auto changeover. Your video is a lifesaver!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I did it on our thermostats, and it works!
Just saved me from buying a new thermostat. You are my hero.
Glad I could help
Thank you! Very helpful
You only need to hold the menu button down for device settings
Thank you, worked perfectly
I don’t get why this isn’t the default… and also why it’s not in the device manual. It just says talk to the installers… thank you for the video!
Thanks for the help! Saved me $
So helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Hero

How do you turn off the whole thing
Hi! This does not work on mine... is there something else that needs to be done?
Most of my neighbors got it done with the same model.. try again if you have the same model.. it was little tricky for few to get into the actual menu..
@@bastinj I got it! I needed to hold Menu only, not Mode
@Kyle Bruno - you have to hold both Menu and Mode together for 3-5 seconds..
@@bastinj Nope, just Menu (on mine at least)
@@KyleB711 Thanks for posting this. Mine was just the menu button as well! So thank you to yourself and to @bastinj
Do one for the z glide please!
I don't have z glide in my home to explore and show on how to do it.
@@bastinj Thanks for the reply, I found out apparently that is the SmartRent company’s bs that keeps breaking all the time! Sigh!
If holding both mode and menu did not work for your model try holding down just the menu. That's how it worked for me.
You just the menu button you don’t have to hold both
