After an hour of watching videos regarding this thermostat, even watching/reading things at the Honeywell site, THIS video has finally addressed my issue regarding automatically changing over from heat to cool modes! Thank you! Even other videos (ruclips.net/video/aWPyjCsaR8s/видео.html) have misled me to believe (at 6:00 minute mark of that video) this thermostat does not automatically switch from heat to cool modes (really needed in southern climates), which is not true. THIS video finally addresses that issue with the "Auto Change-over" feature. Thank you for addressing this concern that I'm sure MANY of us share given the ridiculously poor documentation that Honeywell provides.
Finally, a video that actually provides home owners with real useful information to take back control of their Honeywell thermostats and use them properly. I've been struggling for three weeks with this stupid heat/cool mode changeover issue and need to auto-change. All the other documentation and videos, including those provided by Honeywell, have been completely worthless. Hopefully Honeywell will take note and stop putting out useless videos and manuals. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO WITH OTHERS, OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Thanks. The real defect here is that users expect any modern thermostat to have an “auto” mode by default. Why it has to be “turned” on is a mystery to me. The problem here may be that Honeywell is expecting the installer to turn this on as a part of setup if it is an AC/Heat combo installation. I have talked to installers about this, and they were clueless about this feature.
This has to be the best, CLEAR, explanation of how to set the Honeywell thermostat to Auto mode! Now if you can tell be how to show the temperature that is set WITHOUT pressing the screen each time, it would be a home run lolo. Mine shows the humidity on the first screen and I have to touch the screen to see the actual setting the thermostat is set to. Weird. Thanks for clearing up the auto mode.
Thanks so much! I didn't even know this was an option. The weather has been crazy and i've been going back and forth from heat to cool to heat to try to keep up. I'm going to check my stat now.
Yeah, I was doing the same thing... so once I figured this out... I had to let others know too... lol. This setting should come from the factory as 'ON'... IMO 🤷🏻♂️
I just purchased a new house and it came with this thermostat, but i am not able to connect it to my account . It says the thermostat is registered with another account. Can factory reset fix that issue ?
I _believe_ you’ll need to contact Honeywell’s customer service… --- www.honeywellhome.com/us/en/support/how-do-i-unregister-my-thermostat-from-a-previous-account/
We both same T6 But couldn’t see the Device Set up I followed your instructions Didn’t show up. I am so annoyed cause it’s hot and my ac is not working ugh Pls help
Well, you _should_ be able to over-ride the system at the VERY least... (set the temp where you want it and it should "get you there". As far as my instructions not working... I dunno, we may have a bit different model... OR... something is genuinely wrong somewhere else in your system... 🤔

Ha, awesome man… again - just glad that I could stop someone else from tearing _their_ hair out - like I was! 😅
Glad you got it sorted! 🤘🏻😎

Man you saved my thermostat from getting smashed. Thanks

Even though I’m not having this issue this video was a golden nugget 🙏🏾👍🏾
Thank you so much! Was having same issue now it appears we are all set!!! Thank you!
You're a god!!!!
Ha, just glad I could help someone else out! 😆
This information solved my problem. Apparently Honeywell is not big on optimizing user experience. This thermostat is very non-intuitive to set up.
This helped a lot thanks!
Good, I'm glad it helped _someone_! 🥳

I have 2 of these and they short cycle every 2 minutes. Cannot find how to fix the short cycling. Anyone know?
