The Artengo TR990 Power Pro 16x19 is near equivalent to the Pure Aero in natural and easy spin production. However, none of the current lines of spin frames can touch the spin production of the older Wilson Steam 105 16x16 or Prince Tour Pro ESP 16x16 frames from a decade ago. If you hit with full western on the forehand and played on clay, you could get ball bounces exceeding 6 foot in height on regular basis and kick serve bounces of 8 foot height and slice serves with wicked side spin. Those frames phased out because Club level players or weekend warriors who drive retail sales didn't have the racquet head speed needed to control the spin.
I have tried different rackets in the spin-line incl. Vcore 98, Pure Aero Ezone 100 etc. I return every time to the SX 300. It is more soft, better kontrol and have a lot of power and spin. It is really good on the serve and on the groundstrokes. Swings very easy and is very stable also for one-hander backhand. You get so much more for the money
I love the head extreme pro, lot of effect but with controlled power.
Grande !!!!
Would you put the speed MP as well in this class of racquets?
Great video! Can you do the same comparison for the "player's spin racquets" including the Pure Aero 98, VCore 98, & Extreme Tour?
Did you play with the VCore without a dampener? I like it a lot.
Hi, great video, where would you rate the ripstick against these 3 ?
Definitely should do more videos like this for power, and control rackets.
seems to me that your ball is heavier with the yonex
Forehand improved a lot!! Nice 😊
Angle launch of the there? I tested the extreme and found it low. I like it super high since I only play on clay, how are the aero and vcore respecting launching angle?
Which ones of these 3 is best for a total beginner?
I would add the head speed mp, greetings from Argentina!
Really like and appeciate your vídeos, both in detail and objectivity.
Have you uploaded a TennisNerd's *GOAT Racquets?*
e.g.your alltime personal favourite Top 5
Thanks! That is a good idea for a video 👍🏻
Pure Aero for the win. I use the 98 and love it
How do these compare to EZONE 100 2022 as that is also quite spin friendly frame?
I'm getting good spin with the V Core 100 and I'm not even a big spin hitter.
I hope you one day do the test racket spin between technifibre t fight 300 and head exterme.
for me I do a test between, pure aero 2023 and technifibre tfight 300 and I find the technifibre is more spiny than Babolat pure aero 2023.
Great vid thanks. Maybe make the same video, winners by category but for the 98’s? Pure Aero 98, VCore 98, and others similar (within the spin / control category?)
Great vid Jonah ! Will you do thé same with the 98 (tour) versions of these 3 ?
I can!
@@Tennisnerd would be great !
@Tennisnerd How about a comparison between the Pure Aero 98, VCORE 98, and Head Extreme Tour? Do you still prefer the Pure Aero 98 most, or which one and why? Thanks!
Tried them both, my pick is the new vcore. Comfortable, good feedback, more spin and higher launch angle yet very stable for a counterpuncher. Lot of control and power, you get what you put in.
Great Great stick.
Surely ripstick is best for spin.
It is also way cheaper than the others mentioned in the videos. It is a fun frame!
I am curious about this raquet..can I hit flat with it also?
Tried the 2023 Vcore 100 and decided to stay with the 2021 Vcore. IMO, the 2021 is better balance of spring, control, and power. 2023 version is hard to control.
Always great content, BUT, where’s the Pro Staff 97 v14 review! 😂
Haha, thanks! It is coming VERY soon! Already on my Patreon, though...
Looking forward to your thoughts on it, especially the X v14.
Would you throw the shift into the mix of this category? Or something different altogether? Thx for the video!
Shift has garbage spin in my honest opinion, felt like a board. Small sweet spot and not a lot of spin at all
@@uchihasasuke7436 respectfully disagree - not a spin monster like these three, but definitely power with spin to keep the ball controlled and in the court. Loved it
The Shift in either its 16x20 or 18x20 versions is not a spin enhancing frame in any way. It basically plays like a modernized version of the Wilson Steam 100 16x20 from a decade ago. Good control type hardcourt flat ball hitting frame.
@@geoffchriste1703 100% agree, not sure where everyone else is getting "spin frame" from, maybe Wilson's marketing it as such?
@@geoffchriste1703 it’s not a spin frame like these, but your statement is an exaggeration as it is a spin friendly frame, not just marketing. Have you tried them?
what will be the main difference if i switch aero 2023 (300g) with Aero 23 lite (270g) ? as i think for me 300g is more weight to handle. Thanks.
You lose control and gain a lot of “free power” (when I switch from my 310 gr to 280 I usually play long out of court for the first couple minutes and in general am more nervous to put a lot of pace on the ball but a lot of people love playing with light so if you find 300 too heavy just give it a try!
Hello, I've been playing with this vcore 100 300gr 2023 for a couple of weeks now. I love it but I want to add more weight to it to be somewhere 310gr unstrung. How and where would you recommend to add weight tape?
Thanks
Honestly, you could either just throw on a leather grip on it and balance it with lead tape on the head or put all 10 g at 3 and 9. It gives it the stability it needs without ruining the balance of the stock frame too much.
in my experience you can add a little at 3 and 9 for stability but be careful. Yonex frames play bad with lead tape. Ive tried with Eone and Vcore and they feel weird.
Are you able to review the PD 98 soon?
Tough to find!
I haven't tried the new Vcore, but I've hit with the previous generation. Personally, I like the Diadem Nova more than that Vcore, the new Aero, and the Extreme. It's probably more similar to a Pure Drive, than an Aero, but the Nova offers good spin nonetheless.
none of my stores sell Diadem. Did you go out of your way to buy something unique
I'm more of a baseliner. Changed from Yonex Ezone 98 2020 to Babolat Pure Aero 2023, loved the move.
Pure aero is designed for baseline stroke with a lot of control.
But at the same time, I feel lack of power.
Normally, in single game, control and consistency are the key.
Not the Dunlop SX?
Not bad at all, but focused on the top brands for this one
2019 aero is the best spin racket
Great content as always. It was nice to hear someone else say that the VCOREs have a considerable amount of power, I thought it was in my head during my demo.
I demoed it too and had trouble controlling the power
@@jorgetirado3201is it similar feeling with Babolat Pure drive?
@@rogerfederer1519 I never played with the pure drive, but my guess is that it’s softer and would be better for your arm than that racquet
@@jorgetirado3201 do you hit a lot of spin? Or a bit of spin (majority flat) for baseline stroke?
@@rogerfederer1519 I hit with a good amount of spin, and really liked these racquets, but the 98 versions as I found the 100s to be a bit too much for me.
I really hope they release a recolor of the VCORE because it just doesn't look very good
Yonex makes the best racquets in my opinion, yet agree the cosmetics often come up short. I moved from the DR 100 to the VcorePro97.
@@user-oj7co5wm8g unstrung customs??
best raquets? babolat is king of raquets. Everyone copies them. French power and might@@user-oj7co5wm8g
Great overview for spin rackets. I would choose the VCore 100 (2023) out of them but I think the Pro Kennex Ki 10 (280 g or 305 g) should also have a spot here for the most comfortable one.
rd7, babolat pure control swirly...... but maybe this is too old now ;-)
Wilson SHIFT fit in this group?
It is more of Speed, kind of in between
I think PA100 23 is more spinny than VCore 100 23....
In an era when Nole, Meddy and others, who still use their 95" and dense patterns and wipe the floor with those young guys, who obviouly rely and waste too much energy on top spin.
I think Rafa and Alcaraz are pretty good
Probably the best stock racquet for spin remains the Dunlop sx 300 tour first edition , 100 sq in 310 grams unstrung
Is the first edition the Black raquet, with the small neon yellow details? Can’t Seem to find it online
@@rlv252300 exactly that one, spin monster racquet and very nice feeling overall, not too stiff
dunlop didn't make the cut
Aero is not better in 23.
I like it a lot!
I liked the team version
Babalot’s Rafa Origin Signature Racquet is the best for everything, spin, power, touch! The one he actually uses on the ATP Tour, 375 grams!😮😁👍🕺🫣
So you have tried it? Can you tell if it’s the original pre cortex version or current version just beefed up ???
It weighs 340 grams, not 375 grams.
The strung weight is 340g. The swing weight is 375. 👍🏻😀
