Hey man, just wondering what major are you studying at college? And also what college are you attending?
Sport management. Southern new Hampshire university.
@@MPTennis Thanks for responding. How are you finding managing the workload with the amount of training you are having to do? And also, what UTR did you have when you applied to join a college?
@@loocas6448 I would say I manage it well. I also work a job too on campus. I was a low 9 when I started looking at schools.
@@MPTennis Sorry for the mass amount of questions haha. I am a UTR 9 too from Australia and I am interested in playing college tennis. Was thinking of maybe doing d2, did you manage to get a sporting scholarship? And wow that's amazing, it seems like you have improved a crazy amount and you're heading towards a UTR 13!
@@loocas6448 yes that is the goal. It really depends on the school and how good they are!
Recently demoed this one and fell in love immediately. Purchased two and officially made a switch. Coming from a 97 in head it really doesn’t feel much different. It’s a lovely racquet. Thanks for the review!
Awesome!! Thanks!
I went lead at 12 … 3 & 9 … it’s a weapon now ! Got the SW up to 325 ish 👌🏻✔️🎾 I’ve got the 97d percept too … hard to choose now !
How many grams for each lead?
man i hit some nice slice with this. confidence inducing. just trust it and watch you technique
amazing thank you dude! I wish you also tested pure aero 98 :)
Thank you!
Long stems are characteristic of 95sq” and under frames. If you use Mids, long stems feel “just right” (especially if you have a OHBH) and the shorter stems on larger hoops feels weird!
The Vcore 95 plays more like a 97, probably due to the isometric head shape resulting in longer mains away from the central ones compared with more oval hoops. This increases string rebound off-centre and the feel is like a larger sweetspot. Very good, informative review, dude. Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you. Appreciate it!
Been wanting to try yonex racquets. Heard good things about them all. Great review!
Thanks!
Fantastic review. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
I’m in love with the 23 Gravity Pro but can’t lie that I’m intrigued by the 309 g weight and the promise of more spin and even more control. I may have to demo it.
Awesome review! I use the previous 95 so very interesting to hear your thoughts on it, so a big thank you! I couldn't agree more on the backhand comment although my slices feel great, but I also don't play against players of your caliber so that makes it easier. On the plus side, I absolutely love the control & spin I get on the forehand, volley and serves, especially slice. I'm a 4.5 player. I tried to push myself toward the ezone 98 multiple times thinking it would be more appropriate, but there's just something magical with the 95 that clicks with me. I can confidentanly swing at the ball and it generally always lands in. Just an all around solid stick. thanks for all the work put into these reviews. One of my favorite tennis channels. Genuine racket reviews, great training tips, and love the game analysis. keep it up, and I wish you all the success!
Thank you! Great comment, appreciate it.
Thanks for the review Cade
No problem Javi 😀
Thanks for the review. I recommend Prince Textreme Tour 100 310 (2019) for you. Very similar to Extreme Tour. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
No problem. Thanks!
I tried this racquet too and with all of the other Yonex frames I shanked like you did constantly. I didn’t shank with this one because they changed the shape of this V Core is probably why. I enjoyed the racquet but it just wasn’t “the one”. We were definitely on the same page with this stick haha Keep up the good work!
Hi Charlie, yes I think we like similar frames for sure. Cheers.
Really good review!
Are you testing/posting also the 98sq Vcore?
not in the near future but maybe down the line
Thanks for the review. Is there any way you could review 2021 Head Prestige Tour Auxetic,
It is a very different 95 and would love a modern, college player’s take on it.
I can try
Great review as always! Can you please do the new yonex ezone 100 and yonex vcore 100? I think it would be nice if you compare them!
Thank you. I will have to see. I have a few more racquets coming but then taking a break.
Can you compare this to Boom Pro? Specs are so similar outside the head size.
I’ve just recently purchased the 2018 version and really like
It, feels really cool but I also found it feels a bit longer than it is, Vcore 98 and Ezone 98 do as well to me..I’ll stick with my Extreme Tours though as they’re pretty near perfect for me and my game
I just took this out for a demo. Only 3.5 NTRP player, but a lot of your impressions or what I got as well. I play with a Blade V8 16x19. To me the 95 Vcore felt like a 97 or 98, probably due to the box beam design and I think they moved up the shape on the 95? But yes, very easy to hit with this version as it just feels like you have a big sweet spot. Forehands were great, 2 hand backhand was okay, I'm not the best though but maybe need more time to hit with this stick. I do 1 Hand back hands for fun every now and then and for whatever reason it felt great doing 1 Hand back hands with, so maybe there is something there for those 1 hand backhand players. Volleys felt great, I didn't get a lot of serves practice in because this was only like 1.5hr of playing with it, but it felt solid. Control felt really good and I had good precision with this stick. Coming from a different racket I didn't think I would just pick this 95 up and like it, but its definitely making me want to switch. I also have the 98 Vcore to demo, but overall I really like this racket.
Whats ur thoughts on 98 vs 95?
@@LiamApilado it was hard for me to decide at the time because the 98 Vcore I played with had Multifilament strings which were a bit too much power for me. I wish I could have tried it with some Poly and around 52lbs of tension. So I would say the 95 Vcore was better for me at the time. I ended up staying with my Wilson Blade 98 v8. 16x19. I don’t think you can go wrong with the new 95 Vcore though, it’s a great players racket.
@@clarenceunderwood382 Thanks! am concerned with spin ability of the 95 as I am coming from a v6 blade 16x19 wanting MORE spin lol.
Hello. Do you think that the extreme tour generates much more spin than this VCore? And compared to the VCore 98? I have a Blade V9, I miss the easy spin that my old aero VS gave, but I had to change it because of the stiffness and pain in the elbow. Which one would you recommend for a spin more similar to aero vs and at the same time the directional control that the blade provides?
the throat is pretty long. so the head is pretty wide on top. therefore the 95 doesn‘t feel that small in the area where you should hit the ball
I added a leathergrip an some lead at 11 and 1
Works best with loooonnng cuts. Huge spanks sometimes work. But needs some weight for shorter strokes. Works best when the whip is extremely long. Great frame, but Shapo's strokes show what this frame demands. You can never let up on racquet speed to make up for the plow which isn't reliable without some weight added. Cheers.
Will me my next demo after the demo currently on going w/ boom pro. As you try voth of them what the pro and cons of Yonex? Coming from a pro staff 6.1 95 I'm a bit worried about the muted feel of Yonex. What string & tension do you suggest?
I would go with a poly. Overall, even if you go with 95 i think you will notice a power difference.
Nice review! Love the 95, the new 98 was also really fun to use. The last generation felt a lot better with weight at 3 and 9 and a little at 12. Thanks for the reviews!
Thanks!
My racquet of choice Vcore 95 2021 - I bought six of them !
@@MPTennis Dude, experiment with more weight at 3 & 9 and 12 it takes this racquet to another level, counterbalancing to 6-7 pts H/L creates a beast.
@@winniecarl I have a 2021 95, could you please share how much lead you put at 3, 9 and 12? And with balancing it out at the handle, did you use a leather grip, or did you put lead just inside the cap?
@@stingray-j2597 It depends on your size and strength, For an average-size guy, try 3g at 3 and 9 and 12 ( 1.5g x2 at the three locations)= 9g then match that in the butt/handle, you can use lead. silicon, screws or combination, an overgrip is 6-9g. The 2021 95 is quite muted in feel, I would suggest trying a hybrid set-up, Gut mains if you can afford it, or a high-quality multi at a slightly higher tension than a full bed of poly.
Hi. Do you have the 2 piece stringing instructions for the new Yonex Core 95?
It’s just the same as any other racquet??
What grip size did you use with the vc95? Went down 1 size or same as your other racquets?
I used 4 3/8… and it felt bigger than normal
How would compare the Vcore 95 to the Blade 98 v8 16x19? Which one do you personally prefer?
Thank you!
Both little different imo. And both not for me. If I could get the launch higher on blade I would pick it.
If you had to choose between the V Core 95 and the Head Auxetic Prestige Pro 98 at a lower tension. Which did you prefer?
Prestige
Any recommendations in terms of customization or you preferred it stock? Thanks!
Personal me I liked it stock. Maybe a little bit if lead but not much. Depends on player.
How does it compare with the extreme tour auxetic in terms of spin, control and quality?
Extreme is just better across the board everything
Great review! Some great hitting very impressive, thanks for this excellent video, I've tried to like Yonex over the years but I'm just not a fan at all! 🙏👍🎾
Thanks Nathan!
Just picked one up, poly tour pro mains 52#, VS gut crosses 54#. Coming from Vcore pro 97 hyper g soft 53#. Very easy on the arm with this set up and quite powerful.
Wow, great set up you have there!
How’d you compare with Extreme Tour ? I feel this Vcore 95 2023 is still a bit mute esp. with hyper G at 52/50.
I like extreme tour is all departments except I felt I could flatten it out better with the vcore 95.
I LOVED this racket when I played with it. NOTHING can put into words how good it was! I had tried the Percept 97 before it and now I’m torn between the two! I have no idea which one I should go with. Percept or Vcore?
Gotta go with what you like!
Hey man, enjoy ur channel and content! Keep it up 🔥👏👏🎾 curious if you’ve any intention on doing a dedicated video on the Yonex VCore 98 2023… Maybe comparing it to previous model, and the new 95 you’ve now tried? 🤞 that’s a video you’d be up for doing, thanks 😊🙏
Maybe if I have time in the summer
I tried the vcore 95 and i like it overall. Nonetheless i prefer the new extreme tour as I have an extreme western grip and like to hit with alot of topspin with forehand and backhand and the extreme tour let’s me do that better. Also it has a bit more pop and spin generation is better.
Also I prefer the head shape of the Extreme.
I always admire the Yonex craftsmanship but not convinced totally that it works for my game style.
How would you compare it to the Radical MP? Currently using the 360+ Radical MP leaded up, I like it but find it a bit stiff. Thanks!
Radical has biggest sweet spot. Vcore felt better on FH. MP customized I think is better imo
@@MPTennis I've been playtesting both recently. I think the Radical is a better/easier racquet to produce consistent shots, but personally was too stiff for my arm. The Vcore 95 didn't hurt my wrist/elbow. Thanks for your input!
@@yatuducheeez no problem
How would you compare it to the Prestige Pro? Thanks!
If you are talking about the 2023.... Vcore definitely had more power and spin potential. Volleys felt better on the prestige. Prestige is more of a solid stick if you know what I mean. I feel like the vcore you can get more pop. Both good frames.
I use prestige pro auxetic 18x20. Power is less compared to the yonex vcore 95 for sure, but prestige is an awesome stick, spin also good. My serve are way better with the prestige. The vcore 95 are more forgiving on volleys & are a bit easier on one handed backhand. I’ve combine prestige pro with wilson duo power hybrid string at 50/48, it gives you lots of power. When try with solinco tour bite + vanquish hybrid at 52/50, the power become very less.
How does it compare to the VCORE Pro 97 16*19?
Never tried it.
Wow, thanks for such an honest review. Seems to be too demanding - even on forehands, some were amazing, but some went a bit short.
I was so waiting for this...btw is it true gripe size 2 in yonrx is like 3 in head or babolat ?
GOOD QUESTION. I found the grip huge. I forgot to say. So idk probably.
@@MPTennis is it really like 1.5 times bigger for same size?
@@Bambotb idk about 1.5 but it was definitely bigger
@@Bambotb Bigger and rounder. Hard to find the beam after putting overgrip.
@@jlan6723 bigger by how much approximately
Im used to play with radical mp graphene edition (previous version), do you think it would be a big adjustment if I change to vcore 95?
Yes and no. I would demo it though. They play very different.
@@MPTennis forgiveness wise is it a lot different?
@@miguelroda8779 imo more forgiveness with radical
@@MPTennis thanks for the answers and for the time you take to make these videos :) really appreciate it!
I love it. I’m just not good enough to play with it 🤷🏻♂️
In your opinion, if you had to choose one YONEX racquet to go to battle with for DOUBLES only, which would you choose? Would that change if you were 65 years old? I would be grateful for your thoughts.
Well it depends on a lot of things. But for me….. vcore pros or ezone tour. Sorry for late reply
Where would you add weight to this? Thanks
I did 3&9 I believe and counter in grip
If you had to choose between a stock Vcore 95 or a stock Shift 300 to take to a match , which one would it be, and why??🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾
Shift prolly. More forgiveness and better for my game. Sorry for late reply
I tried this one, This racket is really forgiving for a 95 but still a really demands your footwork and positioning, If you're late to position your hand in the sweet spot ( middle to top area) the lower area of the racket is really really bad because its small area in bottom and long throat. Not recommend it for player below 5.0 rating.. I keep shanking really weirdly, unless you are a semi pro just get the 98 or 100!
It's my main racquet of choice 2021 Vcore 95, I played terrible at tournament... I bought six of them.. I am seriously thinking about switching to 98 or 100... hmmmm
Yes if you cannot handle it then for sure 98/100. It is not for everyone.
@@stevekim578 Make sure you have a good hit with 98 before you spend your money.
@@rainbowracquets2670 I agree… it’s too expensive these days $300 per racquet. I might just stick to 95 and do more practice….. :(
Are you always playing with a leather grip?
No leather grip.
Just got my vcore95 7th gen. Strung hyper-g 50lbs. Somehow this racket is so powerless. Apex of balls were so low.
People say its powerful than 6th gen. I haven’t used old versions.
I am 1.91 cm, greek god body shape. My old setup ps 315 55 hyper-g.
How can i fix this issue? Adding weights to head or loosening tension ? Any help appreciated.
Yonex makes their handles longer than everyone else. But also try volk you can thank me later
What was your string and tension ?
52/50 Confidential
@@MPTennis and string ?
I recommend you put lead 12 it will transform the frame as well as 10 and 2
@@farood5 Solinco Confidential 10:50 Thanks for watching!
@@farood5 confidential. I did do that. Was better but nothing I would change to.
@@farood5 How much lead did you add?
Is 95 aimed at a very high level player? Seems like that head size isn’t suited to modern game
Not necessarily but yes. There are many pros that still use 95sq racquets. A lot of them are just pro stock though. But for sure in today's world 98 and 100 are more popular than ever.
Will you try the vcore 98?
Maybe need to take a break from demos
I did not like the 98. Too powerful.
I liked the 95.
This racket needs only couple grams at 3 n 9
unstable not instable the latter is not a word
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leaving a comment. You are absolutely right, "instable" is not a commonly used word, and the correct term is "unstable". I must have stumbled over my words a few times in the video, and I apologize for any confusion it may have caused.
As a bilingual Canadian, I sometimes mix up my English and French vocabulary. Maybe I'll just stick to "eh" and "sorry" for the rest of the videos! As for whether "instable" is a word, technically it is! However, it's not often used in everyday language, and "unstable" is definitely the more appropriate term in this context.
Thanks again for watching and pointing out my slip-up. I appreciate your attention to detail and hope you found the content helpful regardless of my language mix-up.
@@MPTennis Ah yeah no worries, was not aware that you were a a bilingual Canadian, needless to say a good review.
"I was shocked." 3:25
2 seconds later...
"It was nothing incredible"
So weird 😂
Another gem... "You can flatten out your flat serve" 7:25
Comic gold 🥇
7:38 hahahahah aha😅
why my serve is powerless with vcore 100?
Well… it can be a lot of things. How long have you been playing? It could be a technical issue…
@@MPTennis i just demoed 2 times until now it seem powerless for me .
Maybe you need to look for something else then! MAybe something with more power.@@agradina
It's not a 95....overlay you racket over this 95 and you will see this 95 is bigger then your racket

Play me
Sure would love too. Only thing is I go to school in NH and I’m a college student who’s broke lol.
New VCore line is just garbage...Yonex somehow managed to fuck up, especially with the 95 which got worse from previous versions. Muted and weird, less precision...
Instable is not a word... maybe they don't really teach grammar at SNHU 🥴
..but are you even good at tennis?

New Women-Raquet from Yonex🤭
This racquets nuts man, Yonex is gonna dominate the market sooner or later
Time will tell!
