    Long stems are characteristic of 95sq” and under frames. If you use Mids, long stems feel “just right” (especially if you have a OHBH) and the shorter stems on larger hoops feels weird!
    The Vcore 95 plays more like a 97, probably due to the isometric head shape resulting in longer mains away from the central ones compared with more oval hoops. This increases string rebound off-centre and the feel is like a larger sweetspot. Very good, informative review, dude. Keep ‘em coming!

    Awesome review! I use the previous 95 so very interesting to hear your thoughts on it, so a big thank you! I couldn't agree more on the backhand comment although my slices feel great, but I also don't play against players of your caliber so that makes it easier. On the plus side, I absolutely love the control & spin I get on the forehand, volley and serves, especially slice. I'm a 4.5 player. I tried to push myself toward the ezone 98 multiple times thinking it would be more appropriate, but there's just something magical with the 95 that clicks with me. I can confidentanly swing at the ball and it generally always lands in. Just an all around solid stick. thanks for all the work put into these reviews. One of my favorite tennis channels. Genuine racket reviews, great training tips, and love the game analysis. keep it up, and I wish you all the success!

    I just took this out for a demo. Only 3.5 NTRP player, but a lot of your impressions or what I got as well. I play with a Blade V8 16x19. To me the 95 Vcore felt like a 97 or 98, probably due to the box beam design and I think they moved up the shape on the 95? But yes, very easy to hit with this version as it just feels like you have a big sweet spot. Forehands were great, 2 hand backhand was okay, I'm not the best though but maybe need more time to hit with this stick. I do 1 Hand back hands for fun every now and then and for whatever reason it felt great doing 1 Hand back hands with, so maybe there is something there for those 1 hand backhand players. Volleys felt great, I didn't get a lot of serves practice in because this was only like 1.5hr of playing with it, but it felt solid. Control felt really good and I had good precision with this stick. Coming from a different racket I didn't think I would just pick this 95 up and like it, but its definitely making me want to switch. I also have the 98 Vcore to demo, but overall I really like this racket.

      @@LiamApilado it was hard for me to decide at the time because the 98 Vcore I played with had Multifilament strings which were a bit too much power for me. I wish I could have tried it with some Poly and around 52lbs of tension. So I would say the 95 Vcore was better for me at the time. I ended up staying with my Wilson Blade 98 v8. 16x19. I don’t think you can go wrong with the new 95 Vcore though, it’s a great players racket.

Great frame, but Shapo's strokes show what this frame demands. You can never let up on racquet speed to make up for the plow which isn't reliable without some weight added. Cheers.

    Is 95 aimed at a very high level player? Seems like that head size isn’t suited to modern game

      Not necessarily but yes. There are many pros that still use 95sq racquets. A lot of them are just pro stock though. But for sure in today's world 98 and 100 are more popular than ever.

    unstable not instable the latter is not a word

    • @MPTennis
      @MPTennis  Год назад +4

      Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leaving a comment. You are absolutely right, "instable" is not a commonly used word, and the correct term is "unstable". I must have stumbled over my words a few times in the video, and I apologize for any confusion it may have caused.
      As a bilingual Canadian, I sometimes mix up my English and French vocabulary. Maybe I'll just stick to "eh" and "sorry" for the rest of the videos! As for whether "instable" is a word, technically it is! However, it's not often used in everyday language, and "unstable" is definitely the more appropriate term in this context.
      Thanks again for watching and pointing out my slip-up. I appreciate your attention to detail and hope you found the content helpful regardless of my language mix-up.

    New VCore line is just garbage...Yonex somehow managed to fuck up, especially with the 95 which got worse from previous versions. Muted and weird, less precision...
