I feel like your old style of racket reviews made me watch the whole video, because it was more interactive. Maybe go back to putting footage when you're talking about the frame. Maybe it's only me but anyways, keep up the good work.

I'm glad to know you also felt weird about the Auxetic in the Prestige. I also felt weird about it after playing with the Prestige Tour. It feels sorta tinny and metallic, it's hard to describe but it makes a funny sound and it feels funny on impact. It's extraordinarily stable but I think it's too stable actually.

Im interested in seeing a comparison between the extreme tour and the new aero.
I think the best comparison is Tour vs Aero 98, because they are both similar in power levels, while the Pure Aero is more powerful and forgving than the Tour.
@@Tennisnerd I would love to see this comparison too! As a fan of the APD, the recent Aeros have a way too open string pattern. Ended up going with the Extreme Tour because it gives me a lot more control, feel and decent spin, but I do miss the Aero power sometimes.
@@JT-zv1rx Exactly the same for me! Using the extreme tour with a gut hybrid to give it some tweener-like power. Will demo the E mp and probably buy a pa 2023

I personally think the the MP is actually great for flat hitting compared to the PA. I strung tighter though, at 55lbs. No discomfort even though I usually play my own rackets at 48-52lbs
Goodmorning, What are the differences with the boom?
I am most interested in whether TN or any other commenters think the 2023 Ex MP is a good upgrade if you are a current Extreme user. I like the racquet quite a bit, but got it on sale and have only used it for a few months. I am looking to purchase two of the same racquet as I play more and get better to be able to test different strings, make sure I always have a racquet ready, etc, but can't decide if I would be better buying a second old model or upgrading to the new (cost is not really an issue). Wanted to demo, but this racquet doesn't even show up on Tennis Warehouse US yet. Any thoughts on how this directly compares to its predecessor? Would also be curious if anyone could compare the Extreme MP to the Aero to the Yonex VCore, which I hear very good things about. Thanks!

I've just bought this model and I would like to customize it so it has the same specs as the former Pro version (love it).
I've bought Wilson Tungsten Tape and Tungsten Putty for the handle.
Is it possible that you could tell me where to put the tape and how many grams of tape and putty?
The former Pro is 315 grams and have a balance point of 31,5 cm.
I know that the weight varies a bit from racket to racket so it will only be an imaginary example (from 300 to 315 grams).

I’m shopping for a racquet to help me with spin and power but not that much power like the wilson ultra 100 v3
And a little bit more control than the ultra 100.
I’m stock between head speed mp or even extreme tour.
Which one do you think is the better option
Oh and can you tell me which one is the more stable one?
I play Babolat. But this racket looks way better than the new Pure Aero. I just got a Pure Strike, which I'm loving. Otherwise, I would most likely switch to this over the new Aero.

Great review!!! I come from a pure aero 2019 prostock, but I'm fed up with the lack of control, I can't do decent rallies, I'm between two rackets…. the head extreme mp auxetic 100, or the 100 rim babolat pure strike 2024, which one do you recommend of the two Jonas? a hug !

which strings and how much tension do you recommend for the extreme MP?
I just bought myself a used one from Ebay which has got Head Lynx Tour Strings( 22/21 KG )(48,5 /46 lbs)
I would say my skill level is beginner to intermediate. (3.0 - 3.5 NTRP)
I try to learn good topspin strokes from the baseline and i wanna hit harder than im actually able to :-)

I know it is not the best comparison, but which do you suggest between this Extreme Mp and Prince 100P for maneauvrability and easy to play with? I have one handed backhand, all court player, not very powerful…
In no world should you be using a prince racket. No pros use it (other than isner), neither anyone with any prominence
With all these colors on rackets now, wish they would make a wooden color paint scheme.

I had tried the boom mp a couple of months ago and it had like a trampoline effect when hitting the ball. Does that feel come to the extreme mp in this version because of the auxetic tech?
I just demoed both, the boom and the extreme mp 2022. Absolutely not. Completely different. The boom had the trampoline effect, hard to control until getting used to it, and still lacked control. However, the extreme felt crisp, control oriented, very maneuverable. It lacked a tad in the power department but had easy spin. Extreme MP very arm friendly. Now I am between the extreme and the pure drive, but honestly the extreme felt better.

Only semi related but bought two 360+ extreme tours last week and both within one gram
My last extreme tours (360+) had awful quality control and were off by 5 and 6 grams (had 2 rackets)from the listed weight of 305grams.
@@Tennisnerd Thanks for clarifying. I was curious cuz Head doesn't maintain a very good quality control with it's other frames

Tough. Both are relatively comfortable for power frames. I would go Extreme MP personally because I feel more connected to the frame. But nothing wrong with the VCORE 100

I just couldn’t yield a stick that looked like that.
Not a fan of some of Head's recent styling changes on its sticks with the racket name being broken-up on the throat side & with the way too large 1st letter only of the name (that sticks out & seems sorta meaningless) as just not an appealing look imo. I do like the Head name on the inside of the hoop though as that's cool. I much prefer the new Pure Aero"s styling/paint job over this one. Idk, the Extreme & Radical lines latest colors are just not for me, I guess. I wish Head would also lose the (ugly) Maroon colorway on the Prestige line as that color sorta lost whatever popularity it had after the 70s imo. Also, I align with what Wilson did for the Pro Staff 97 v13 style/paint job giving it only a nod to the colors of the original Pro Staff 85 but yet its own unique paint job (since it's a different racket) & wish Head would have done the same for the Pro Tour 2.0 since it's a different racket than the original Pro Tour 280/630. Same paint jobs should only be reserved for reissue of the original racket (w/o any changes in the racket's materials) imo. Thanks much for the detail review.

Head needs to make more unique paint schemes/designs rather than just giving you same paint patterns with different colors. It screams lack of creativity for the design team and gives less originality to the different families.
