I’m transitioning from Head Speed touch 18x20 but I’m glad you said use shaped string because I’m bringing the Lynx Tour over with me. I’m just hoping that I can keep the ball in the court
Depends on your grip style. I assume Speed Touch 18x20 = Speed Pro. That racket certainly has a ton of control compared to the spin offering of this racket. You are also dropping down in a weight class moving to the Vcore 👍
How fast does it swing through the air? I'm currently using Pure Aero 2019 and I love the spin and power it generates but it feels a little clunky at times, especially on the backhand side. That is, it's not very aerodynamic despite the name. Is Vcore 100 easier to swing fast?
This racket can be easier to swing through the air as the variable being throat is quite thin. Having said that it’s not the most maneuverable but better than the Aero
What is the best string and tension to be put on this racket? I have tried with LynxTour 17 at 44lbs which is amazing on my ezone 100 but too stiff on this Vcore 100.
@@khamhosi4225 If you have good racket head speed we are big fans of Solinco Hyper G, Head Lynx Tour, Yonex Poly Tour Rev, or Luxilon ALU Rough (to give you an option from each top string brand). Start with your current tension and adjust from there :))
@@astrochan1212 We touched on it in the video. I feel the Vcore gives a high launch angle with heavy spin/drop. The new technology of the beam adds to the launch angle and stability. I found the Ezone to be typical launch angle of my strokes with most rackets.
@@SolowSports thanks for the answer! On paper they are super similar so i am having a tough time what to choose, if you have any advice on the matter i would welcome it! Thanks
I am currently playing with the pure aero 2019 and it lacks stability and some control, would this racket improve what I have without losing that spin? or better the yonex ezone 100?
The Ezone and Vcore are incredibly similar. Ezone is the power series and Vcore is the spin series. Going from Pure Aero to Vcore will not lose spin generation and stability will be comparable depending on your strokes. Sometimes it’s not possible to get everything in one racket. If you want more stability with good spin the Pure Aero VS is also a solid choice 👍
Did you prefer the 100 to the 98 as you played much better with the 100 than the 98 in your video ? However you gave the 100 a much lower overall rating ?
@@farood5 Every racket is perfect for someone. Our reviews tell you which player is best for every racket we do. The Vcore 98 is best for spin, control, all court, higher level players, and one or two handed backhands. I assume that, but I have not found anyone who’s actually hit with it to confirm. Sometimes when they come out with the extended brackets, it’s at the expense of maneuverability. I wanted to see if they’d managed to achieve an extended length in the VCore that was also maneuverable.
@@SolowSports I switched to ezone from aero pro but now thinking about V Core 100 but you mentioned about double handed back hand I wonder if it wont suit me as my BH is my strongest asset

I currently have a Head Speed Pro and I’m excited to try this. Heard many good things about the Vcore
Speed Pro is heaviest weight class for control. Vcore 100 is standard weight class for spin.

How would you compare it to thé New boom mp Auxetic 2 ? And which one do you prefer ?
Vcore 100 = max spin with power. Boom MP = blend of power/spin/control as all around.

Depends. What are you priorities? (power, control, spin, elbow sensitivity, price, durability, color, brand, etc)

What do you think of this racquet vs Ezone 100, am thinking of changing
Vcore 100 has very similar specs w more spin potential. Ezone has more power potential
@@SolowSports what about the launch angle ? Any difference ? As with Ezone multi/co-poly setup, I get a low launch angle.

I notice you had a dampener on you strings do you think this is necessary and does it affect he feel/touch much?
Dampeners are all up to personal preference. I like them for the muted feel and deeper sound
How is the impact on the arm compared to the Ezone 100?
Both very similar. If you want to protect the arm you can always reduce tension or adjust the string. Let us know if you need any suggestions.

I can't speak about the ezone. But I can tell you coming from a Pure Drive there's a night and day difference. The 100 is easy on my arm.

Just add some lead tape to your aero. I put some at 10, 12, and 2.

So what is the deal on the new Yonex VCORE 100+ 2023?
It will be quite similar to this one however the extra half an inch extended should provide more power, spin and comfort

The Vcore 100 has more feel and is connected. The Pure Aero offers more pop. (If you really scrutinize the two)
