    You should string the racquets with the same string and tension. Otherwise you won’t know whether it’s the string or the racquet they like. E.g., the rev string is a softer string which will make the racquet feel more powerful

    • @tennisviking
      @tennisviking  Год назад +4

      Yea, totally agree…we had three different strings in each of the three rackets, but since they are not my rackets, I couldn’t for this review….but I did it in earlier reviews and will try for future ones as well 👍

    Nice review! Seems like you felt a big difference between the 98 and 100. I expect at least some of that is due to the different strings... Poly Tour Pro is really low powered and you put that into the more low powered of the two frames...

    • @tennisviking
      @tennisviking  Год назад +1

      Yea, they were a bit different, but honestly all three strings in each racket didn’t feel the greatest…I’m not a Yonex string fan but then again, I haven’t played much with them 🤷‍♂️ next up racket-wise is the Ezone 98 and the 98+…I’m looking forward to trying those, especially the extended since I played with longer rackets back in juniors/college.

    As someone who subscribes to tennis warehouse channel and a tennis gear fanatic since I was a kid. Im a guy whose always about latest gear, I like honest reviews. As much as I love TDub playtesters they still are rarely going to give brutally honest feelings about racquets and gear. Some racquets are ‘trash’ for one player and ‘holy grail’ for the next. This new Vcore reminds me of the 2017 Vcore SV cosmetics (the only generation I played with full time). I grew up with extended racquets the Vcore SV 98 plus was just awesome. Probably top 3 of all time it has Insane plow through controllable power for a longbody. I tried the 2019 vcore and it began getting too noodly in terms of flex and what this series is about (power and spin) thus I decided to move on from this series. That would be my racquet of choice still if I played exclusively singles and could handle the stiffness (chronic arm injuries ughh). I have moved onto the Ezones, but this 2022 version was just meh got me, I was expecting to love the newest Ezone 100, but other than cosmetics, it plays idential to the 2017 (yellow/black and later blue/black) versions.

    • @tennisviking
      @tennisviking  Год назад +1

      Yea we actually just tried the Ezone 98 and 98+, and imo they were nice but almost too flexible and hard to get the feel of the ball with all that movement. Will try them some more before uploading the review. I like extended rackets a lot and grew up with the Prince Longbody 😅 they were so solid haha.

    What tension have the vcore 98 in the play test?

  • @charm8968
    @charm8968 Год назад +1

    You recommend being strung at 46 or is it preference. I ask cause kind of clueless on the topic.

    • @tennisviking
      @tennisviking  Год назад +2

      Good question. I like mine around 42lbs, full bed of Poly string, rackets strung on a Wilson baiardo so it strings nice and tight. Coach Kevin likes it around 46-48lbs and the other coaches around that 48 as well. So, 46 is a nice middle of the road tension for our rackets. Many people demo them so 46 lbs will appeal to a wider audience. Only one thing to do is to experiment and see what you prefer. Usually the faster swing speed, the higher tension you would want to get that extra control. I swing fairly slow for my level, and I like a little extra bounce, so that lower 40s range suits my game 👍 I hope this helps.

    How would you compare vcore 100 and gravity mp?

    • @tennisviking
      @tennisviking  Год назад +1

      Vcore 100 more Power but less feel. Gravity more control and flex in racket so more feel but less power. I would say Vcore for a baseline and Gravity for all court/likes the net.

    In your opinion, if you had to choose one YONEX racquet to go to battle with for DOUBLES only, which would you choose? Would that change if you were 65 years old? I would be grateful for your thoughts.

      Hey man, sry for late reply. Now I would choose my custom Vcore Pro 100, check out here ruclips.net/video/Uq97tmdm7fs/видео.html if I was in my 60s I would choose the Ezone100 since it’s very comfortable and offer nice access to spin and power. If I’m still having arm problems (my surgeries still acting up) I would go with the Ezone 100L 👍

      I grab the Xtreme Tour the most, and it does give me enough pop with the extra weight I’ve added…it’s slightly head heavy now to that helps. The Pure Drive Tour I can relax with the most, insane power lol. Trying the Ezone 98 and the plus version soon, I have high hopes 🤞🤞

      @@TheodorosKolokotronis799 everyone I had try the new Rad MP said they felt more soon than previous version, and I liked it better than the Rad Pro, just need a little extra weight…I would say same as Xtreme Tour but not as much as Xtreme Mp or like a Pure Drive.
