Thank yall for sharing your trip with us. Love hearing how the milepost is keeping you up with what is coming up. I also enjoy the boondocking site info too. Stay safe and enjoy the journey!!
trying to follow your journey on a map, where is the bridge that was closed to to traffic couldn't quite make out the name, somewhere above Dawson City. Did you do a lot of reserving camp grounds on your trip or did just stopping in seem to work... planning a trip from Pa in 2026
Are you thinking about the old wooden bridge with the curve? It is about 45 minutes above Dawson Creek. It was abandoned when the ALCAN highway was rerouted to help strengthen the road. Debbie found the attraction in the mile post.
I'm crossing into Canada tomorrow at Coutts. I'm planning to go to Tuktoyaktuk, following in your footsteps at least sometimes. I'm curious why you blurred out some of the names of the places you stopped at, like after Hyder. And another spot. Why?
Google maps is sometimes hard to use for me. And when I selected Hyder as one of my destinations the Hyder cemetery kept showing up on my computer screen… So I blurred the word out.

@@adams31069 Thank you so much for watching.
The milepost is a key resource for driving the ALCAN.
Look at going to Valdez, Seen a others going and it looks great. Going in two years after retirement.
When we travel we try to boondock as much as possible
the helocopters weren't water hauling. they were fighting wildfires in the area

Also, as for making reservations. A few of the longer stays were booked 1 or 2 days out. But most were targets determined the night before.
