The promotional material kept showing off all these intricate sets of samurai armor and ninja outfits. But everyone knows the *true* samurai experience is ronin robes and a straw hat. Nothing else.
Lord Jagi I totally get where you’re coming from, I think it’s a stretch to critique the games historical accuracy, just because they weren’t going for 100% accuracy, but saying that white people DONT actually know Japanese history is a bit weird. The total and complete history of japan is open to study by anyone of any ethnicity. I have a Japanese friend who really doesn’t care much about Japanese history, and thinks it’s cool that other people do know so much about it. Being born Japanese doesn’t make you some samurai disciple with infinite knowledge of your own cultural history. Especially in today’s day and age
This was honestly the most concise and detailed video I’ve seen for starting the game. Thank you for following up on all your points. This was really well put together.
PRO TIP: The most useful charm for beginning is Charm of Amaterasu from Golden Summit Shrine. It's increases supplies (and materials needed to craft) drops by a looot. You can thank me later.
Why thank someone that gives wrong advice. Charm of amaterasu gives health when killing enemies. He even showed the charm you meant, but always fun to see an attention-hungry commenter not even watching the video Lmao
The smoke bomb is not to run and hide. The Smoke bomb in combination with chain stealth assassination is crazy over powered When you have upgraded your pouch for the smoke and the the ability of chain stealth kills to 3 kills you throw the bomb you stealth kill 3 NPCS and that 3 times is 9 free kills
Damn i did not think of it that way! I always use items so damn sparingly in games with that feel of " i might need this later" it helps you can o ly carry a limited amount and I can't loot bodies cause I'm full of items haha
Got my son a PS5 for Christmas and got myself Ghost of Tsushima. I have played maybe 2 hours so far. This game is the total package. If you love open world RPG and AC then this is the game for you. It was hard to find, none of the stores here in town had it or carried it. Luckily Target had it so I had to drive 20 minutes to get it. I have the bow, 2 charms, and the assassination skill. I can't wait to get farther in the game.
Only thing I'd disagree with is I invested two points into Health discovery and Resolve discovery. After a few hours, I hadn't found any more bamboo strikes or hot springs other than the intro ones they stick in your face. Taking 15 minutes to do a few of those helped me explore the map some more, find extra camps and gain XP fighting Mongol groups. I also highly recommend getting the ability to block projectiles and arrows.
Cowboy, you are one of the very few game walkthrough/drunk through people that I actually enjoy watching. I've been a fan since the DS 2 : SOTFS days. You consistently put out great, funny, and informative content. Thanks for the years and miles.
the best advice is read everything, adventure and do the side missions its time consuming but its a great pay off as you may already know, and your stand offs are important also do the main mission ghost of the past as soon as its available its like a in game cheat
Hey man, was holding myself back from watching anything about the game. I just cleared castle Kaneada* and I went back and liberated everything. Now that I am watching this I realize everything I did was the same as your down to the charms I used :)
Not gonna watch this because I dont want any spoilers of gear or anything I wanna find it by myself, but I wanted to say I'm so stoked for this game and I appreciate all your coverage Cowboy! (Also liked and left a comment just to help the video)
I’ve been playing the passed 3days! The games epic!! This is definitely better than RDR2 for me personally. * Everything’s so easily accessible. Simple press of the start buttons gets you into all options. You can fast track across the map with ease (provided you’ve already been there) * Storyline is epic - even for the side missions * upgrading weaponry and skills doesn’t feel like a grind at all And the list goes on
I never take the traveler armor off. Lol. I always feel like I'm missing a collectible when I do. I just cleared the entire 1st island before I moved on to the second. Once you Liberate all of the Mongol bases, it uncovers the parts of the map you missed and shows all the ? Marks automatically.
I noticed if you smash or double press circel. You can also do a safe landing. Haven't tried it from great heights yet, but from a house roof if doesn't cause damage. Just started playing, so I guess this ability is sublime to this
I would recommend fully upgrading Stone stance, so far 90% of mobs have been sword enemys (at the beginning), working my way through shield stance now but its not been half as useful, stones heavy attacks are insane! (playing on hard, as standard) =)
Stone stance is really helpful for some of the later duels but since most the Mongol bosses use shields I found water a priority. Stone was definitely the 2nd one I upgraded though.
I want to thank you for your coverage on not only Nioh 2 and Sekiro; but for also this game. Granted I unfortunately do not have Ghost of Tsushima; however once I do have it I'll be much more knowledgeable; thanks to this video. Keep up the great work Cowboy!!! *Samurai bowing in honor*
Thank you for this great video! Subscribing to you for sure! I just started playing this game this week and have fallen in love with it. I went and got the charms you recommended first! Great info to start off my story mode all around. I love Samurai and I love this game already. And this video has helped get me off to a good start and understand all the aspects I need to learn. Priceless!
Terrifying enemies is a great and powerful mechanic. They do not just temporarily fall down for an easy execution move, they will get up and run away, removing them from the fight entirely.
@@CorruptedYogi You had to get close to that "leader" in Gold-like armor training himself and just press/hold R2 when prompted. Provided you didn't alarm anyone at that time
the Corrupted King from what I’ve seen from playing. I think there’s only some you can observe and than ones you can’t. The ones that you can observe are the ones that are usually training by theirselves and you’ll know it’s a leader when you see him. You’ll have to take down the archers so you don’t get seen. Than find a place close enough to him without getting seen and it’ll say hold r2 to observe
Thank you for being very thorough. Every other channel is trying to do it first or copy someone else's. Your's is what we were really looking for. Thanks for doing it right
The Exploration points came in handy when I was doing the cleanup for the platinum, as there were a few hot springs and shrines that didn't appear as question marks on the map, even when I bet the game and liberated all areas. For locating those stragglers, they were a big time-saver. However, I agree that they are a waste of skill points during the main game.
But what bout The Last of Us Part 2, oh wait that game has a shitty fucking story, pretentious delivery, disrespecting all the characters, disrespecting players. One FUCKING BOSS.
good guide, except bow starts to be less and less useful the more you go on with the story, because enemies will almoust always have a helmet in the last region :) tho, the armor you get from the last ARC3 will be really helpful. (not telling what armour cos that would spoil the fun getting it just by doing the main missions.)

@@zackeryh250 then they should have made the game first person. Also even when someone is in front of you, you still dont see them because they are still off screen
Nikos Masios The game would be more annoying with lock on the combat was supposed to be freeflow combat like batman arkham or shadow of mordor and those games never had a lock on system.Lock on only works when limited enemy came at you attacking but when you have more then 6 or 7 enemy attacking you simultaneously lock on wouldn’t work well. And only real issue is the camera blocked your field of view because it really close to the character. The camera need to zoom out while you’re in combat just like batman.

@FightingCowboy Dude, something up w/ the Inari charm; rather than just increasing the initial yield of resources gathered, I'm also getting a SECOND gather popup when I grab stuff out in the world.
