I mean anime art has to have great anatomy just look at artists like Akasa Ai, Rurudo, and Mazamuno :3 Yes it still follows anime laws a bit but they do amazing work. I wish anime styles didnt get such bad rep in the community;;; It took me so much longer to get different anime styles down pat than anatomy ever did. 😭
@@rosezif Yes!! My all time favorite Mangaka is Yana Toboso! The art shes done in recent volumes of Black Butler is absolutely gorgeous 😭💖 I could only aspire to be able to draw half of what shes capable of 😭
this is true too but artstyles do not have to HAVE proper anatomy for example if u look at cartoony artstyle. i mean it speaks for it slef ppl can draw whatever they want:)
Anatomy relies on shapes Example: some uses elongated ovals for legs and arms Others use cylinder Cartoons are made of shapes Example: spongebob is a square Phineas is a triangle Ferb is rectangle And "this is patrick" ⭐ So cartoons also rely on anatomy. But you are right, it doesn't have to be "PROPER" and that makes those art styles appealing ☺️
this made me feel sooo happy like literally i haven't drawn for a day and i already feel bummed out but then i came across this and after watching i'm like "damn, im gonna enjoy and continue doing art to the fullest"
while I do draw a lot of anime, I did stop for a while to learn anatomy and the fundamentals, then I incorporated that into my style, so that not everything looked so wierd
If ya gotta compare, compare your current self to your past self! It helps you focus on your own growth which can be more productive than worrying about being worse than your peers. Great vid as always :)

i feel as if everyone who only wants to draw fanart can try doing that via imagining how said character would look in realism, or get into media thats live action so you can redraw that!

1 tip I like to give to my weebs out there that can stop drawing anime characters but want to draw realistic is. Draw the anime character realistic, your learn and also can draw your favorite character :) But draw someone simple not like denki or goku or Naruto, draw someone as simple like mikasa, (now)eren or my favorite undertaker from black butler.

anime is a stylization of the realistic fundamentals, so if you want an anime style it's fine just learn the realistic foundation
