I tested out the whole "complimented every single time I wear it" statistic last week, and it holds up - I wore it out to dinner and got complimented by SEVERAL people. Hi Julija, I haven't tried Ani, but I'm partial to boozy vanillas and have a decant of SDV, which I love. The weather here in Newfoundland is a balmy 7° with a dampness that cuts right through you. My sotd is Gallagher's Behold, Patchouli a warm & spicy, dense chocolate patchouli; a warm and sunny hug against the biting elements. This is my first year living on the east coast, and I have a feeling that we have a little while yet, before we'll be wearing spring scents. 😶🌫️ Hope you have a great remainder of the week!

I just got Wicked Good, and he included a sample of Behold Patchouli, so I just went to spray it on as I type this. :) It's a difficult one for me, but there hints of things I love in that one! As for the weather on The Rock, it's not perpetually windy but is more so the closer you're to the ocean. Hey try mixing Ani with Baccarat Rouge 540. As a man, I enjoy that laYering. My favorite is spraying Creed aventus as layer 1 and either Ani or Rouge 540 as my second layer

Hi Luca. Hope you're well! I love fragrances that have massive projection, too. Having said that, different fragrances perform differently on different people in different climates/weathers etc. and sometimes it comes down to how/where/how much/how often one sprays. To me, Ani is the BEAST of beasts when it comes to projection. I don't think I have any other vanillas that project the way Ani does. I know that's not helpful, and I"m sorry. If you consider Dior Addict a vanilla (it's categorized as an amber floral with vanilla at the base), you could try that. I get more a lot of vanilla from that one, and people say that one wears YOU instead of you wearing IT, so maybe sample that one? Let me know how your quest for a vanilla projection beast goes! And thank you so much for being here!! It means so much!

(I shared my decant of Delizia de Marshmallow with a co-worker who does not wear perfume. Her children FREAKED OUT about how amazing she smelled, and when I asked her if her husband liked it, I took a good look at her and I realized it was abundantly clear that she was both happy and exhausted, as if she hadn't slept a wink the previous nigh. If you know what I mean. And ONE SPRAY kept her smelling amazing ALL DAY. That stuff is MAGIC. My full bottle was shipped two days ago! Yay!)
I mentioned you because one time I posted about Ani and wearing it during a thunder storm in the summer, and your response was so good! You mentioned that you love Ani, too, but that in the high heat it gives you a terrible headache. :) I do love it in the summer more than another time, which is weird because it IS, for all intents and purposes, a BANGER that is more safe in the fall and winter. Alas, the heart wants what the heart wants. :)

Hi Maddieh. I will admit something to you: when I first smelled Ani, the very first whiff of it, which was sprayed on paper, I got old school patchouli and citrus not much else. I filmed my reaction to it, and I have to say that since then, I haven't really smelled the patchouli at all. If I hadn't filmed it, I wouldn't have remembered that that's what I smelled. I think the patchouli only comes out on paper and not on skin? I think you'd totally have to sample this one if you're afraid of patchouli, but it IS a gorgeous vanilla for sure! Oooh. Safanad! Hey try mixing Ani with Baccarat Rouge 540. As a man, I enjoy that laYering. My favorite is spraying Creed aventus as layer 1 and either Ani or Rouge 540 as my second layer

Hi Luca. Hope you're well! I love fragrances that have massive projection, too. Having said that, different fragrances perform differently on different people in different climates/weathers etc. and sometimes it comes down to how/where/how much/how often one sprays. To me, Ani is the BEAST of beasts when it comes to projection. I don't think I have any other vanillas that project the way Ani does. I know that's not helpful, and I"m sorry. If you consider Dior Addict a vanilla (it's categorized as an amber floral with vanilla at the base), you could try that. I get more a lot of vanilla from that one, and people say that one wears YOU instead of you wearing IT, so maybe sample that one? Let me know how your quest for a vanilla projection beast goes! (I shared my decant of Delizia de Marshmallow with a co-worker who does not wear perfume. Her children FREAKED OUT about how amazing she smelled, and when I asked her if her husband liked it, I took a good look at her and I realized it was abundantly clear that she was both happy and exhausted, as if she hadn't slept a wink the previous nigh. If you know what I mean. And ONE SPRAY kept her smelling amazing ALL DAY. That stuff is MAGIC. My full bottle was shipped two days ago! Yay!)

I mentioned you because one time I posted about Ani and wearing it during a thunder storm in the summer, and your response was so good! You mentioned that you love Ani, too, but that in the high heat it gives you a terrible headache. :) I do love it in the summer more than another time, which is weird because it IS, for all intents and purposes, a BANGER that is more safe in the fall and winter. Alas, the heart wants what the heart wants. :)

Hi Maddieh. I will admit something to you: when I first smelled Ani, the very first whiff of it, which was sprayed on paper, I got old school patchouli and citrus not much else. I filmed my reaction to it, and I have to say that since then, I haven't really smelled the patchouli at all. If I hadn't filmed it, I wouldn't have remembered that that's what I smelled. I think the patchouli only comes out on paper and not on skin? I think you'd totally have to sample this one if you're afraid of patchouli, but it IS a gorgeous vanilla for sure!
