In this video, we selected six popular niche fragrances to share with our panel. Our guests will react to each fragrance, provide their unbiased opinions, and then share their favorite and least favorite fragrances at the end. We hope you enjoy this video! I mean who’s really to blame, the influencers making bank for pushing these or the viewers who feed the algorithm and demand non-stop “panty dropper” videos? If people are deluded enough to believe a fragrance is going to attract about person that’s on them
Honestly, they gave more positive impressions than I expected for a lot of these, a fair spread of opinions as well with what they liked. Not surprised the PdM did the best overall.
The scarface girl is just hilarious. They are ordinary people that we meet every day unlike fragheads like a bunch of subscribers to this or other fragrance channels. Their opinions are totally unbiased towards the brands and that’s what I like a about them.
Right! I’m just starting to get into fragrance and I go try to smell fragrances that have been hyped up by “fragheads” and I usually hate them 🤣 I’m just not sophisticated enough yet I guess

It's amazing to see how we are different. Once says this smells horrible, another says it's good. Try the fragrances before you buy.
I'd watch a show with Tressa out in the world making observations and saying stuff like, "Eww, no. Just no."

It’s crazy to me how difficult for a fragrance to speak to everyone, like if the fragrance is light and “easy to like” then they don’t like it because it’s to generic but when someone smells something out of the ordinary it’s to much, to strong etc etc..

Not surprised by this, to the average person who isn’t into the love of fragrances niche will often be too much for them. There’s a reason the most popular fragrances are also the most boring and safe smells. The average person won’t understand niche
That’s why I only do mass appealing niche and top quality designers, I can’t be walking around smelling like skunk balls and atmosphere
This is exactly how I feel💀Niche that isn’t weird asf and high quality designer like Dior and Chanel is where it’s at. Get me a high quality scent that smells bomb, that’s it.
I usually don’t like Jim, but when he said “that’s a hundred percent a strip club… but a classy one”, I lost it 😂 always good content.

I enjoy this series, one of my favorites!..And, Tressa? She will always "make the cut" for me! 😜 She's so scary when it comes to getting her opinion on a fragrance! Generally, I like the way this group describes the fragrances. Great job guys. My regards to "Mona Lisa". 👍
Jim normally has the most inconsistent nose in these vids, but he made the most accurate comment with Creed Virgin Island Water!

I love these videos, you really see a spectrum of opinions and more than anything it highlights how subjective the perception of fragrance is. Get a fragrance to please yourself first and foremost

Yeah, PdM is an impostor in the niche fragrance world :D Leaning way too far to the designer, mass-appealing side.
This helped me a lot! I have Percival, and my wife lives it. But she is VERY sensitive to colognes and perfumes, most give her headaches so it it's tricky.

It would be nice if you introduced people fully wearing each fragrance to everyone so they could see how the fragrances smell on skin instead of only on paper.

Love these average blind tastings. Never know what you’re going to get and the opinions very across the board. Not really surprised with percival being the most liked here.
They called my girl Ani cheap. The level of disrespect is unforgivable. That’s wild.
I'm really surprised that most of them didn't hate Amouage Interlude Black Iris. I absolutely despised it and just thought everyone would react similarly. Man was I wrong. I think it is seriously pungent, and I can't get the smell out of my nose for days.
I have amouage. It's too strong and spicy. I don't like it on my body but I spray on curtains. It feels refreshing from distance.
I love PdM, and def recognize that many of their 'niche' frags resemble others. This group of youngsters picked the PdM frag most closely related to A&F Fierce. Happily surprised that several liked AND appreciated Black Iris.....they would have freaked out with the OG Interlude Man. As they get older I think some of them may be more open Nasomatto.
You need to do this with AARON TERENCE HUGHES fragrances!!!
I enjoy these vids. Fascinating how every nose is so different. Surprised the popular Ani wasn't enjoyed by all. I believe you wear what you like. Never base a frag on house/price. Ever.

Nasomatos’ seem very intriguing. I want to find some department stores where I can go smell them. It’s amazing how one person says “something my grandma would wear”and the other person says “strip club”. That’s hilarious.

Yeah, it's a very cool brand, very unique. But sometimes a bit too much. Fantomas literally smells like melony plastic (I saw it with a 40% discount in my local store, nobody wanted it I guess, lol). But Baraonda, Duro, Narcotic V are amazing.

Good video, I'm always surprised how good descriptions some people that are totally not into fragrance can give. The guy that likes Virgin Island Water is spot on. It should cost 200 max. :)

I have Percival. Out of all my PDM fragrances, that would be the last 1 I reach for.
10:26 lol I like how that's the one girl who's truly broke away from the Nautica pack and just straight up recognizes the scent of money. That's true anyone who smells Amouge is going to recognize the smell of money. Idk what was wrong with my sample, Interlude Iris smelled terrible to me.

Thar one guy trying to be funny is not helping. But the ladies and especially that one blonde (on thumbnail) really do help in helping us assess.
"This kind of reminds me of Fierce", "I feel that you don't need to spend that much on a cologne" - right, so go for the cheaper buys like Montblanc Legend instead of Fierce or Pericval
And the best niche fragrance is the one that smells pretty much like..... Axe Apollo. And I am not even surprised at all, people actually really like how many Axe products smell, as long as they don't know what it is.

Why does percival smell like everything though? Mont blanc legend, abercrombie & fitch fierce, beckham respect, ajmal mystery, etc...

@@GrowingDownUnder It's absolutely good business to dupe naive consumers into buying something for $400 that costs $4 to make. 😄 People pay for the perception of luxury and exclusivity, not the product; and the exploitation of ignorance has been a hallmark of human behaviour for thousands of years. The choice is therefore either to become informed, or remain exploited - with the bulk of profits in the luxuries industry coming from the latter (although both can still be manipulated). That may change as people become more connected and aware, but it'll take time. in the meantime, let's give people something familiar and make $$$$!!! 😂
@@justaddlight it kinda has the opposite effect though, people aren't going to pay for something more expensive when you can get it for cheaper. Just like nobody is going to buy creed aventus in this day and age with hundreds of cheaper clones of it around everywhere. There's hundreds of percival clones too which make it completely redundant to buy and own. I see a lot of influencers pushing it but the fact is it's redundant to buy with better and cheaper alternatives. I wouldn't say beckam respect is better, because it's not better but it is cheaper. Abercrombie fierce is better and cheaper though and last way longer

Kilian’s Angel’s Share, made with real cognac. A sophisticated version of Replica Jazz Club
Parfum de Marley’s Herod, nice incense
Signature Scents, easy reach-
CELINE’s Black Tie- powdery vanilla
LeLabo’s Another13 or Santal 33, after the dry down. Freshness with character.
And for the Hotter weather-
Creed’s Millesime Imperial, the original and badly copied
Jo Malone’s Wood, Sage, and Sea Salt
