      My pleasure. Thats what I wanted from the beginning. To educate my viewers. Its important for people to understand the craft. There is so much that people dont see in creating a fragrance. The name, The concept, The choice of aroma chemicals, naturals and fixatives. To how the house has a unique smell. To create a unique house smell in a oversaturated market is quite amazing and time consuming. Thats why I love this industry and try to sing the gifts of perfumers. The gift of creating a perfume is really special. Thats why we are called unicorns. Special, Magical and unique.

      @@hocineted7594 I see u asking this question around these interviews and honestly your best bet is to buy the samples in the smallest decant/sample size possible, if you aren't able to get out and try them in person. If you can try them in person at a mall or perfumery wear no cologne that day and spray one spray on each wrist, and walk around at least 1 hr sniffing each hand here n there to experience the fragrance throughout its maturity to the basenotes(drydown)...i say only one spray because they are fairly strong and can both work their way up to your nose at the same time and overwhelm you. So 1 spray each wrist, take a smell here n there and compare give your nose a break for a little while and see how u like them. No one's opinion is better than your own, I have went by other recommendations and did blind buys with some success and some horror...I wish I just spent some time and or $20-30 to just try it myself. Hope this helps 👍 good luck with whatever u choose

    Hey Aaron,
    I just want to say. Blood orange is absolutely outstanding. Seriously, the smoothest transition from opening to dry down. Side note I usually never layer fragrances but blood orange mixed with Percival is out of this world

    • @AaronTerenceHughes
      @AaronTerenceHughes  4 года назад +5

      Thank you Austin, Blood orange is really natural and has some very expensive raw materials In it. The smooth dry down is from the transition from the Citrus accord to the Jasmin to the wood base. Musk and fixatives. It tells a story. You dont get that with a massive amount of aroma chemicals.

I have tons of respect for you, and the way you review fragrances with the utmost honesty, and I always know when you are going to say "I don’t like this on a personal level, but...." and you proceed to say how good the fragrance is, even though you do not like it, for a subjective point of view. Greetings from TX. Percival and Galloway are really nice summer fragrances from PdM. Given your love for darker fragrances, have you tried Layton exclusif? Both are very dark and intense. The dry down with Patchouli noir goes into a chocolate accord. Its really interesting to watch it morph and change. Santal is a lovely song clean sweet concentrate. Thank you for supporting my work.

    When I'm blending my essential oils, I'm also mathematical about it. I love the "reversed pyramid" as I like to call it:
    ● ● ●
    ● ●

    3/6 (1/2) top notes, 2/6 (1/3) heart notes, 1/6 base notes.
    The overall result is usually very balanced, especially in the drydown.

      Thats a good place to start. I found I really progressed when I started to challenge myself. What happens if I break all the rules. What about if its all musks. What about if I add this to this. What happens. But to do that I have to really understand the basics and know safety within perfumery. Safe limits. So I always stick to whats safe.

      @@tonymalizia I agree with you 100% I never really get whats happening. It hits me sometimes what is happening on this monstrous journey. Like when we moved into our factory. We were unpacking all of our things and packing customers orders the same time. It was really crazy. Then when the signage went up we stood outside and we had no words. Production Unicorn has been with me since the Liverpool Idiots fucked up my work intentionally. So he has seen this grow so fast. But I still dont have or want a huge ego. Grosses me out massively that people get like that. Where others might smash you down. I will always lift up others who try to put a fragrance together. Its really tough and complex.

      Yes. I actually visualise the maths of perfumery when Im creating. I only noticed I did this when I redeveloped my Oud. I was able to create the fragrance by sticking to my ratios. The more perfect the weighing is the more perfect the perfume is. I can only make a concentrate once a day as the concentration is really intense.

I think its worth the Money and smells more expensive then it is. I totally agree with you. I go in to each review thinking dont move the arms are its distracting. But once I engage with the perfume brain the arms start. What ive found interesting is if I love something I look high and the arms go crazy. If I dont like it the arms dont move much and my facial expressions show it. I was unaware I was like this for years. Crazy isn't it. I actually thought I blended in...
