Bo! You're a woman after my own heart: this comment is EVERYTHING to me because, well, it reminds me of ME and the comments I leave. Because they show you care! (And, sadly, this is why I you'll notice I don't leave comments anymore (for the most part). I always feel so guilty and do the same apology you just did. We are TWINSIES, and yet why do I look like I could be your grandmother for goodness' sake!!?? It's true there was nothing around gourmand-wise back in the day, eh? I guess I forgot that. How GLAMOUROUS to have worked at a store that sold Dior in the 90s! I can see it! (I can smell it!!) I recognize most of the scents you mention, and like you, I want them because they're nostalgic for the most part. Do you wear these fragrances, and the Avon ones? Are they what you hoped and dreamt they'd be? I keep wanting to buy LouLou to go with my Anais Anais, and I'm always drawn to the $20 bottles of Oscar de la Renta at Shopper's Drug Mart, but I just don't pull the trigger because I doubt I'll ever wear them. Oh, and Exclamation! And something from Max Factor called Le Jardin D'Amour. Do you watch Luc Fragrances? He mentions a lot of lovelies like my beloved Youth Dew - which i cannot get as a deodorant anymore. Gr. Hi Shiny Jewels. Thanks for your question! I think that for the majority of the ones that I've tried, the answer is no. I think it has something to do with the fact that there is no alcohol in these (just oil), and so oil molecules are heavier and don't waft into the air the way that, say, a perfume would. But then again, I would imagine that it depends on how much you apply. The heat from your body will cause some of the liquid in the oil to disperse, so the more the merrier. I think your best bet would be to order something you know you'll like, so even if it doesn't work on your body the way you might like (ie leave sillage), you could still use it for so many other things. :) I hope this helps?

Hi Eddie. There are great questions. I don't think that there are major differences between the notes per se, but the oil definitely doesn't have that airy quality of the original. I don't think you can go wrong at the price-point, especially if you plan to layer it with the actual fragrance itself. The longevity on the Oil Perfumery is better than the OG for SURE, but the sillage and projection aren't there. I hope that helps.
