Alright, we need to create a fragrance RUclipsr award for filming in the coldest weather... you would win! I don't even want to get out of the shower into my cold (yet heated indoor) bathroom during the fall and winter. It has been made more BAREable (pun intended) through the use of a towel warmer (best gift I ever gave to my husband- hahah), but I don't understand how you manage not to turn into a Juliyasicle upon exiting the hot tub!

Hello Julija, It's that cold here too... Yes a brutal week ahead. You are brave to be in the hot tub and I have no idea how you would have made it back inside without freezing your skin. I have hot tubbed in Banff in these temps. in my younger years but the design of the entry from the change rooms meant you didn't have to get out of the water until you were back in the building. Hi Lizzie! Thanks so much! The hot tub is 104 degrees. It's gorgeous in there! The colder the better, but not for quite as long as I was in there this time. Getting out isn't as bad as you'd think unless it's windy. Then it's a pain. I think you'd LOVE it! Come for a visit!!! I MEAN it!

One of the criteria I had for a potential mate when I was single was that he had to enjoy scent, and Ryan really, REALLY does. I feel very lucky. It‘s interesting that when I was single and then met Steve, many years ago now, I wasn‘t actually into fragrances myself, at all. I have always been going through phases. My obsession with perfumes started when I was a teenager, but then it died down when I was at uni and for almost a decade after that I just used some cheap staple fragrances and had other interest. So as for criteria for a potential mate the interest in fragrances was not on the list. There were other criteria which Steve met perfectly, lol. And now I am well and truly obsessed with fragrances again Steve just rolls his eyes at me, which is understandable cos it looks a bit obsessive from the outside, and unhealthily expensive. But we have many interests we share and enjoy together and we both have a few that are personal to us. That includes my quilting and the fragrances for me , and his art for Steve and his vinyl. I think our relationship is very healthy actually. We enjoy a lot of time together but we can also have an hour to ourselves here and there, doing our own thing. And you know what? I am grateful Steve is not into fragrances, it would just be too expensive if we both spent so much money. As long as it is only me it might just be sustainable. Maybe. We‘ll see.

I agree that gourmand is a spectrum for me it's between pure gourmand - something that is adible / lickable that you don't even smell the alcohol to somethin that is more a perfumey and it smell like perfume in the scent of X
Yup. For me, if I wouldn't consider eating it, I wouldn't consider it a gourmand. But there are those that straddle the line. But I'd eat them anyway. Have you seen me? I don't say "no" to too many things that can be eaten. :p
Marshmallow story: There was a guy I had a crush on who lived upstairs from me my senior year of college, and he would come down to the kitchen and be like, “oh I’m SO hungry,” and then open up a bag and eat 1-2 jumbo marshmallows. I thought it was the weirdest thing but also the cutest bc I thought he was so cute🥺

Hi Em. Cold is relative. We're built for it here. It gets much, MUCH colder than this, but on this day I was out for too long. I'm British in my heart, and I talk almost exclusively weather (and fragrance)!
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA yeah I guess you're used to it. Whilst UK can get cold it rarely gets sub zero. We had some snow last weekend and it stayed all week as it never really got above zero. Coldest snap we have had for a while. Yes, the more northerly the country the more weather obsessed 😂
