Anais Anais! I can picture it in my mom's bathroom cabinet. (That's a take me back fragrance.) I could never get behind rose fragrances, too 'old lady'. Cue to me now (58 this year...nearly grown up) and actually own some Rose fragrances! Florals are challenging. Gimme cherry, tobacco, vanilla, citrus, or something ozonic. And I want the Passeggiata just for the Greyhound head! Yeah, I have a Greyhound. Lol. 😊

I just bought 312 Saint Honore by BDK. The opening is very orange blossomy. I didn’t like it at first but the drydown was so great on me. It smells very “grown up” 🙂 My fave floral is Do Son

Honestly, the deodorant is one of the very best fragrance purchases I've ever made. It was super expensive, and worth every penny. Every time I spray it I feel clean and refreshed and just...pretty. I hope you are able to find it. It's quite magical to me. (She said...talking about a DEODORANT for goodness sake. Sigh. The heart wants what the heart wants.) xo

I love my florals, but I don’t think I’ll ever be over vanilla! I don’t think you’re a bad person for keeping that bottle. You already gave your money to the brand which can’t be undone so you might as well use it up. Throwing it away doesn’t change a thing. Love Cacharel Anais Anais…. It’s a potent floral for sure. I also get some oakmoss in the base.

Recently discovered your channel. You are hilarious and unique! Love your take on fragrances. I’m like you in that I love gourmands but I’m craving something lighter and more floral for spring and summer. Most of these are new to me.

I'm also a terrible person...oh well. I'm not a floral girly either although I own a few and I work with florals when I craft. It's funny but when I make perfume for me, I usually only use my sweet florals like Heather, Water Lily and Carnation. I use the heavy hitters like Rose, Jasmine and Iris for other folks. My mid 80's go to perfume experience was White Shoulders and according to Fragrantica it has 8 floral notes. And like Anais Anais it doesn't quite smell the same.

I have the edt, and I KNOW that I'm going to love it. I'm whatcha call "slow-to-warm-up" sometimes. I can usually tell a fragrance is going to be a major love for me if I react very strongly on the negative side for the first while. Case in point: I HATED Baby Cat the first ten times I wore it, and it's now in my cart waiting for me to take back Ryan's beer empties and my wine empties and get the cash from my stuff in consignment so I can pay for it. :p

The trussadi one was quite pleasant. Flowerbomb was a tad on the sweet side for me. Pink Prestigum I didn't absolutely hate it. A decent price for Delina? 🤔 $9.99? Not a cent more 🤣. No I get it I don't get why it's loved but it is. Yey Gris Dior 😍 we share a great love. Well Julija a day with my collection and I think you'd love flowers. I appreciate your love of flowers. I just watched Lizzie's flower video, and I can see why you two get on so well. Flowers, to me, are classy and grown up and sophisticated and all the things I'll never be. So maybe it's an association thing? Maybe I love flowers but don't feel worthy of their beauty? Yes, that makes sense. Leave it to me to manifest childhood insecurity and trauma as a dislike/distrust of all things beautiful. I started smoking cigarettes again, almost as soon as I landed in Iqaluit. Was it the newness, the unknown, stress and worry over a whole new job and new chapter in life?!?! Probably all, but, I always say that I had to quit smoking or else I'd never be able to smoke again. I'm sure that will make sense to you. So, right now, I'm indulging and soon I will be abstaining... and you know what? It's all good.
I TOTALLY know what you mean. YES to indulging. My friend came to stay at the house for a couple weeks and he brought cigarettes. On our last night I had a specialty coffee with whipped cream and liquor and many cigarettes while sitting in the hot tub. It was heaven. And now that he's gone and the smoking time is over, it's over as if it had never happened. That's how it'll be for you. Smoking is very underrated when it's done properly.

I’m a spicy and woody gal! I don’t hate florals but they tend to make me get a headache if not careful ? I lean towards tuberose (only if spicy like my poison or my alien fusion ) oh and a recent love Of lavender(but only if sweet like coffee break or mon guerlain ) and magnoli for its watery ways oh shoot and lilac but has to be not too strong ha ok I guess I like some flowers 🤷♀️I forgot i had Cabotine ha oddly enough I usually do florals in spring. I never was a crazy vanilla or gourmand gal I’m just starting to try them..and I discovered I like coconut a lot ( Crystal noir, soleil blanc etc ) the Crystal Noir ? Is good due to just smelling creamy…and oddly enough men compliment the F out of me in this one!! I have the edp. Oooo I love mint so I’d probably like the first one…I like way tooo many things! Off topic…I was having a scent memory the other day…my mom had Chers Unforgettable!! And I started looking it up and was surprised it had tobacco! I’m guessing that’s what made the oh so unique note that I couldn’t describe when I was 17!? So now I’m trying to hunt a bottle of that down ( or anything like it ha ) yes it was an insane late 80s perfume but there was something sweet and uplifting and odd in that one!
Hiya, Heaven! So, what you're saying is...you like florals! I totally get why you would say they're not your favourite and then list off, like five of them. I always say I "hate" florals, but then I remember that Delina, Gris Dior, Coco Mademoiselle and Coco Noir and Chance are florals, and they are among my top ten of all time. I even forgot to MENTION the Chanels because I literally FORGOT they are considered florals? I think my Crystal Noir is edt, and I literally blind bought it because Mila LeBlanc said that she got tonnes of compliments from men wearing it, and I love compliments! I know I'll grow to love it. I love mint, too, but like so many other things that I love in real life, in perfumery I don't love it. I love cherries and almonds and chocolate, but in perfumery I'm very fussy about those notes. I have a friend who has ALL the Cher perfumes. I'm going to ask him where he got his Unforgettable!! I'll let you know what he says. :) I love your comments, Heaven. Thank you for being my friend.

I'm probably a floral girl 😂😂😂 just unlike you. Florabotanica, well it smells mainly green, mint and woodsy notes. Just intoxicating. I love botanical gardens, and Florabotanica smells quite like one. Carthusia Lady, very British smelling, a bit melancholy maybe. I wear it any other season except summer. L'Erbolario Papavero Soave. One of a kind. Sweet, intensive yet light, not long-lasting. Natural smelling, not synthetic at all Mendittorosa Le Mat, probably my best rose. It makes me feel confident, strong and happy. It may seem pricey. But it's extrait d p. One spray is more than enough, it lasts 12 to 18 hours.
A boy bought me Anais Anais for me in college due to my love of the author! I hated it!! Ha for flowers? It felt/smelled sooo dry to me!? See oak moss and Marigolds are my most hated notes! I can take them as notes as long as disguised ha 😅

I love it, but not the current "original". The deodorant, though, is a work of art. I appreciate your love of flowers. I just watched Lizzie's flower video, and I can see why you two get on so well. Flowers, to me, are classy and grown up and sophisticated and all the things I'll never be. So maybe it's an association thing? Maybe I love flowers but don't feel worthy of their beauty? Yes, that makes sense. Leave it to me to manifest childhood insecurity and trauma as a dislike/distrust of all things beautiful. I started smoking cigarettes again, almost as soon as I landed in Iqaluit. Was it the newness, the unknown, stress and worry over a whole new job and new chapter in life?!?! Probably all, but, I always say that I had to quit smoking or else I'd never be able to smoke again. I'm sure that will make sense to you. So, right now, I'm indulging and soon I will be abstaining... and you know what? It's all good.
I TOTALLY know what you mean. YES to indulging. My friend came to stay at the house for a couple weeks and he brought cigarettes. On our last night I had a specialty coffee with whipped cream and liquor and many cigarettes while sitting in the hot tub. It was heaven. And now that he's gone and the smoking time is over, it's over as if it had never happened. That's how it'll be for you. Smoking is very underrated when it's done properly.

Love Rouge malachite and wore Flowerbomb today. Gris Dior dries down to smell like old lady soap, so that's a no for me.

I’m a spicy and woody gal! I don’t hate florals but they tend to make me get a headache if not careful ? I lean towards tuberose (only if spicy like my poison or my alien fusion ) oh and a recent love
Of lavender(but only if sweet like coffee break or mon guerlain ) and magnoli for its watery ways oh shoot and lilac but has to be not too strong ha ok I guess I like some flowers 🤷♀️I forgot i had Cabotine ha oddly enough I usually do florals in spring.
I never was a crazy vanilla or gourmand gal I’m just starting to try them..and I discovered I like coconut a lot ( Crystal noir, soleil blanc etc ) the Crystal Noir ? Is good due to just smelling creamy…and oddly enough men compliment the F out of me in this one!! I have the edp.

Off topic…I was having a scent memory the other day…my mom had Chers Unforgettable!! And I started looking it up and was surprised it had tobacco! I’m guessing that’s what made the oh so unique note that I couldn’t describe when I was 17!? So now I’m trying to hunt a bottle of that down ( or anything like it ha ) yes it was an insane late 80s perfume but there was something sweet and uplifting and odd in that one!
Hiya, Heaven! So, what you're saying is...you like florals! I totally get why you would say they're not your favourite and then list off, like five of them. I always say I "hate" florals, but then I remember that Delina, Gris Dior, Coco Mademoiselle and Coco Noir and Chance are florals, and they are among my top ten of all time. I even forgot to MENTION the Chanels because I literally FORGOT they are considered florals?
I think my Crystal Noir is edt, and I literally blind bought it because Mila LeBlanc said that she got tonnes of compliments from men wearing it, and I love compliments! I know I'll grow to love it.
I love mint, too, but like so many other things that I love in real life, in perfumery I don't love it. I love cherries and almonds and chocolate, but in perfumery I'm very fussy about those notes.
I have a friend who has ALL the Cher perfumes. I'm going to ask him where he got his Unforgettable!! I'll let you know what he says. :)

Florabotanica, well it smells mainly green, mint and woodsy notes. Just intoxicating. I love botanical gardens, and Florabotanica smells quite like one.
Carthusia Lady, very British smelling, a bit melancholy maybe. I wear it any other season except summer.
L'Erbolario Papavero Soave. One of a kind. Sweet, intensive yet light, not long-lasting. Natural smelling, not synthetic at all
Mendittorosa Le Mat, probably my best rose. It makes me feel confident, strong and happy. It may seem pricey. But it's extrait d p. One spray is more than enough, it lasts 12 to 18 hours.
Melancholy is my favourite note!

A boy bought me Anais Anais for me in college due to my love of the author! I hated it!! Ha for flowers? It felt/smelled sooo dry to me!? See oak moss and Marigolds are my most hated notes! I can take them as notes as long as disguised ha 😅

Still, though, I have gotten to talk to a few folks who have commented on it, and if I hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have gotten to have this particular chat with you.
