what is your opinion on purple damage to elites mods?

I started down the path of purple mods and it took the script down a rabbit hole I didn’t want it to go.
My goal is a 10 min video that covers the basics that are easy to understand. The way I see it, if you are knowingly using purple mods, you don’t need my help with your gear. You have things pretty much figured out and telling you about purple mods would get me nothing more than a knowing nod. Like mentioning low GS sidearms during the Weapons video. If you are purposely running a low GS anything, you definitely don't need my help. This is meant to be an introduction for new and returning players that are currently swimming in loot with no idea what to keep and what to toss. After this, they can sit down and read the community resources and get deeper into the game.
Purple mods are good but I hope they bring HE versions to Division 2.
I have them but usually do not use them because i don't know if losing skill power stamina or firearms gives me any advantage over dte.
I'm a dps player and play pve solo 95% of the time. My builds usual can handle PvP(if i PvP), pve, and solo survivability without much altering. I have purp mods but only really use them if I don't have any dte already on my builds. That hasn't happened yet.

I have to clean house in my stash. What’s going to constantly play in my head as i browse through the items is that epic phrase “It’s Trash, don’t waste your time, it’s trash!”

Thanks a lot for this video series man. I fairly recently got the game when it was on sale on steam, and got to max level recently. I had no idea what was good or bad or meta, and then I came across your video on Reddit. Now I can keep my inventory nice and open so I can pick up more items to deconstruct/sell and only keep good stuff, and have to stop much less frequently to manage my inventory.
Whenever I see any particularly poor items I can hear your voice in my head; "It's Trash"

Don't really need these videos but enjoy watching! Vendor resets have been garbage for mods, at least for the last 4 or 5 weeks. I have also drawn a line for mods at 265. Hopefully today the vendors have some sweet stuff. Excellent video.

This series of videos has made playing The Division fun for me again. Now i know what to grind for. There is so much info that it is easy for all of it to look important when some of it is just there to tell you "it's trash". LOL I look forward to the next video. Since the weapon mods depend on the type of weapon being used, are you going to make one really big video or several that cover optics for one and then under barrel stuff for another?

Another awesome video! Three (3) things I want to help with if I can:
1. The Ballistic Shield Damage Resilience mods help strengthen the "agent" not the shield; feel free to correct me if that's not right. But I'm 99.999999999999% sure I'm right. ;-))
2. When you are starting out, put whatever mods you have in those slots. Even those "trash" mods are better than having empty slots in your gear mod slots.
3. To further save space in your stash, store your mods in gear. I always put gear mods in vests and performance mods in backpacks (2 each), which saves a ton of space in my stash box.
Side Note: I've reached the point of total, freak nerd status. I have Excel spread sheets detailing each of my agents and the gear sets contained on each one; mods and everything. With 3 monitors I can have the spread sheet open during play so I know at a glance if I come across a better mod that I need to pick up and put in or pick up and extract to put in. Yeah I know... Like I said, total freak nerd status I've achieved.
Ballistic Shield Damage Resilience definitely strengthens the shield. The added resilience effect on the agent is only by proxy. Without the shield, you take just as much damage as a normal player. Deploy the shield and everything changes. And with Ballistic Shield Damage Resilience, you shield falls apart like wet paper yet you are at full health.
Yep, just looked this up cause I hate it when I don't know all the facts. When I made my comment I thought it would be understood that the agent would have the shield deployed to gain any buffs. But yes, just like you said, those mods apply to the agent and the shield, not just the agent like I thought. Good catch and thanks for clarifying that.
