      the morphine - what's missing is who did the administering? if a band 6 is involved...
      the antibiotics incident is seemingly without a prescription - LL doesnt think that type of antibiotics need a prescription yet it does, so why doesn't LL know that? What is known from the CQC report is that neonatal nurses were giving IV antibiotics to babies with visiting parents from the maternity ward in 6 incidents.

      Look up Sally Clark as well she was released and then drunk herself to death.
      Shaking baby syndrome now disproved was responsible for looking up hundreds of women.
      Cot deaths we blamed on mothers and hundreds of mothers were locked up or had their children taken away.... There's a huge list that goes on and on and on.... We've been locking up caregivers for decades on the back of faulty medical evidence and statistics

    • @Wokko1963
      @Wokko1963 21 час назад

      Errors do occur. The important issue is to take accountability. When do nurses ever take accountability for anything? Just blame the doctors, and if that doesn’t work, “staffing levels”. One of the few good outcomes of this case is that it has opened the public’s eyes to the reality of modern nursing, and how nurses now run the NHS hospital system.

      We can ask why so many infants have been killed by her, and the answer would be because parents put their trust into hands of nursing staff in hospital. Did they have other choice?
      If I had reason to believe that my child's health or life is in danger I would intervene. The problem is that no hospital is keen to release this kind of statistics and cause feer amongst patients. Lucy despite her grave mistake was granted again serious responsability and maybe this empowered her. She even thought to be equal to pediatrician in deciding what tratment the child should receive. In her opinion "it was inevitable to administrate an antibiotic".

    TBH if I was qualified to administer drugs to patients and made a massive error, I would be shaken to the core and mortified. I would accept any further training offered and I would always ask a fellow qualified colleague to check the patient’s name, dob, the prescription and the dose from the container. I thought that nursing staff (I don’t know about doctors, but the rule should be the same imo) always had to have it checked for the safety of the patient but also for the person giving the drug but maybe this is a more recent rule? UK nurses - it that how it was and has it now changed? PS nurses rock ❤️🇬🇧

    The question you pose is very on point. I’d want to look in the eyes of any Lucy apologist when that question was posed to them to see if they answered “yes’ with a straight face. I wonder if the folks defending her represent a very small minority of anyone who’s been attentive to the particulars of this horrific case, or is it more accurate that these ignorant folks making a lot of noise get attention that generates clicks/likes/ad revenue. I am amazed that an infant receiving 10X the dose of safe morphine would survive that; I am amazed that she not only did she not lose her job, she was allowed to administer to babies in any capacity. Herein lies the rub-the failings of the NHS allowed Lucy to become the serial killer she wanted to be. Is it the NHS’ fault-no-it’s all Lucy’s fault, but like any criminal, she exploited the weaknesses of the system and even decided to punish this system for “punishing” her.

      I certainly agree with you when it comes to Lori Vallow's financial motivation. Yet, much like Lucy Letby, having control over people's lives -- especially those who are more vulnerable, be they children or easily-led adults who believe whatever they're told. Exercising control over others is a huge "high" for both women, a rush that, in my opinion, comes from the egotheism they practise and the adulation they feel entitled to receiving.
